Even though I got the idea for this topic while watching "One Piece", it applies to Japanese culture in general, which is why I put it here.
It appears to me that Japanese parents take a rathered relaxed view towards children fighting. Like their usual reaction is "Eh, it was just a children's fight. Nobody was seriously hurt and they'll forget all about it tomorrow."
Meanwhile, American parents have an almost zero tolerance policy for such incidents. My parents did anyway.
Any other thoughts on this?
