I also noticed a small room to the northeast, but I'm hesitant.
I assume Hannyabal will have noticed one to the northwest.
This seems like it could be a trap to split us up.

Suddenly I have a very strong feeling that we're going to be forced into a Prisoner's Dilemma sort of situation before we get out of here.
Bingo, there's indeed a small room to the northwest.
It doesn't look especially interesting though. Try: Investigate the room to the northeast. Maybe I can get both rooms if I'm fast enough!
Well I guess we're doing this.

Shoot, I shouldn't have been so hasty.
I was so excited to finally find something.
.
Well, maybe I'll fail my attempt
Try: Investigate indentation and treasure box for traps
It seems safe. You also think it would be relatively easy to open, no craft check necessary!
Try: Sneak into small tunnel in the southeast
You sneak into the small tunnel… after a bit of winding and sliding, you reach the end. You find a huge deposit of coal. Maybe this can be used to increase the your and your teammates stealth. Don't forget to also give it to Buggy-sama too!! There is a lot of it, no need to be shy!!
Try: Investigate the room to the northeast.
You barely slide into the small room. It's a hard fit, in fact some of your absolutely beautiful body hangs outside because of the smallness of the room. While there is nothing of interest inside the room, you find a small window that allows you to see the other side… As you glance through the window, twisting about in order to get a better view, you notice something that makes you almost cry...
Is that light coming in from above? Is that really the exit to the dungeon...? You can't really see all that well due to the unnatural position you have put yourself into... But the exit is high up, and you will require to make a series of dangerous looking jumps to reach it. Not everyone will be brave enough to do it...
Try: Investigating the opening to the northwest
There is a large horizontal crack in the wall that you can use to look at the other side. You start by looking at your left. You notice a path leading from below, perhaps it's the one you didn't choose, you notice that there are things glimmering and shining at the other side… loot you conclude, too bad you missed it, might have been something useful. Oh well, no way to go back there now.
As you scan across the crack moving right, you watch as the other route seem to converge towards the exit to this clearing, and just across from the convergence point, you notice a rather large pit, with a small ridge moving across the wall to the far right of the room. The ridge seems like you will be able to walk on it, and it moved with the wall, curving to the right, and disappearing from your sight after a little while. There were some rocks hanging above the ridge, that seemed just barely hanging there.
Just below the ridge, towards the pit side of the room, i.e. the left side of the ridge, you see what appears to be magma flowing slowly towards you. It wasn't really glowing too much, but you can see steam coming off it, and even from this distance, you can feel the heat radiating from it. It was dangerous, and can kill any living thing in a matter of seconds.
As you kept scanning, you eyes settled in the pit. You let out a small shriek as you notice what was in there... Could it really be... a Dragon? It was sleeping at the moment... but suddenly you felt it.. a deep and soft growling as the dragon breathed... There was no way you can fight this thing, it's not a matter of having weapons' or not, if the dragon spots you, you are dead. No ifs and buts about it. You need to find a way to get across the dragon safely.
Hey guys I think we're in an escape room.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Try: Investigating the room to the southwest
You all come back to the big clearing. You notice a lot of rubble along the walls. There were also what seemed like some man made objects, a small wooden pole, some burnt up torches, some hard elongated pieces of rocks, and other stuff… Before this room, you didn't particularly notice any sign of civilization, but this place seemed like it was used for mining.
You now need to come up with a strategy to move through the pit. However, the calculations will be different in the next room. We will use the following formula:
Success = Stat + Willpower x Random[-1.6 to 1.6].
As you can see, there will be a greater variance of results, the threshold of various actions you can do will also be considerably higher, in the 7 to 10 range. Since there are four of you alive, you will get four chances to move across, but every time you lose, you will all lose a point of willpower.

Try: Investigating the room to the southwest
There is no room in that direction. All you can see is a treasure box, but Bon Clay is blocking it.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Oh and there is also an exit from this area, apart from the various rooms. That exit leads to the room with the dragon.
Try: Bring treasure chest with me back to the party without opening it
Anyone with really good eyes want to double check this thing for traps?

I have a few questions.
What are we trying to move through? The dragon room?
Do our strategies impact the calculations we use in any way other than determining the stat used? Is that what the check for success is determined by?
And lastly are we doing this calculation as a group? I'm a bit confused by us having four tries.

yes you are.

yeah I need to explain this a bit more. There are various ways you can move through the room. Just moving ahead will get you def killed. So, for example you can move with stealth, etc. Anyway, this is a pretty open scenario, I have tried to describe everything that is available as much as I can, and you can use it however you want, in order to move through safely.
I have deliberately chosen not to give you a simple, yeah do this, and let the odds decide, method. Be creative in how you will face the adversary, and I will be here, running the numbers….
And lastly are we doing this calculation as a group? I'm a bit confused by us having four tries.
Yeah, suppose you come up with a way, you give it a shot and fail at the calculation. Like try moving stealthily, but fail. That would be one try. You will all lose one point in willpower and can try again, instead of dying outright. Calculation wont be done as a group, but rather with whoever attempts it.
I encourage you to read through the description, and think of what ways you can get across.

You didn't find any traps…
Bad day for me to be out
Anyway,
Try: Bring back coal for everyone
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
With a boost from coal, I could have 5 stealth.
Maybe that can be useful for sneaking past the dragon?
Since we need to know everything we're working with to come up with an optimal strategy for this room, how would everyone feel about revealing their full stats now?
I'll begin by sharing mine of course:
Perception: 3
Craft: 4
Athletics: 2 (+1 with the ivy gloves, which I'm still willing to lend if needed)
Stealth: 4
Willpower: 4
Perception 1
Craft 3
Athletics 4
Stealth 4
Willpower 2
Bad day for me to be out
Anyway,
Try: Bring back coal for everyone

I don't believe the items in the room will do anything as simple as a stat boost.
It seems like we're being encouraged to think of creative solutions, which lowers the check we need to pass.

Oh I should
Try: Opening the chest
Try: Bring back coal for everyone
Are you planning to use it, or just bringing it back?
Try: Opening the chest
You opened the box… and...
Buggy: Is that.. is that… Captain John's treasure?? GIVE IT TO ME!!!!!!!!
Monet, if you keep all the treasure to yourself, you will get a guaranteed +1 to your willpower. If you decide to distribute, everyone will get a random[0 or 1] boost to their willpower.
I distribute it.
Oh I just remembered I still have my ivy
Try: Make ivy gloves

I'm really struggling to parse this. Is the point where the other room converges with ours accessible from this room, or do they seem to converge in the pit? Is the ridge accessible from this room?
Try: rubbing coal on everyone
Everyone gets a +1 to stealth.
I distribute it.
Bon Clay and Batman get a +1 to their willpower.
Try: Make ivy gloves
You need dried pieces of ivy. You have fresh edible ivy. Can't make gloves with that.
So here's a list of items we have available to us:
If the other room I saw through the crack is accessible, we also have access to whatever those loose rocks are and a stream of magma.
So my initial thought is to go with stealth. Using the coal to decrease our visibility.
Then we'll take moss from the tunnels and pad the bottoms of our shoes with it. If it's too wet and squelch-y we can use a fire to dry it, but not to the extent that it would crunch under our feet. Hopefully this can pad our footsteps.
Finally I think we should burn the ivy in the pit to possibly sedate the dragon slightly. Maybe mixing some of the moss in their for good measure.

Sorry about that.
Yes, the ridge and the pit with the dragon are accessible from this room.
The other path converges with this room at the exit, you can reach the convergence point, but not go into the other path.
Okay I tried drawing it, its very very very very very crude, but I hope it helps….
Thank you, that actually helps a lot.

So here's a list of items we have available to us:
- Rubble
- A small wooden pole
- Burnt torches
- Hard elongated pieces of rocks
- Coal
- The chest itself
- Moss from the tunnel we entered from
- Quartz (Although maybe we shouldn't use this)
- Ivy? (Batman do you still have that?)
- A glowing gem.

It may be even more helpful to wrap the ivy and moss around pieces of coal, which we can toss into the magma. It'll have the added effect of a smokescreen and carbon monoxide poisoning.

Try: Returning down the tunnel we came from to collect wooden spears from the spike traps and moss from the walls.
You were successful in collecting the moss
You were NOT successful in collecting the spears, because you didn't activate the trap when you came.
Do you think it would be possible to create some sort of loud distraction along the path that we didn't choose?
For reference, my ability scores (without any items) are as follows:
P - 3
C - 2
A - 4
S - 2
W - 4
I took into account the Willpower increase from the treasure.

Perception 4
Craft 3
Stealth 0
Willpower 5

I can't really think of anything based on what we have to work with.
Does anyone have ideas as to what burnt torches and wooden pole might be used for? We could use the hard rocks to light a fire.

Success = Stat + Willpower x Random[-1.6 to 1.6]
So if I'm reading this correctly, there's a 50% of our willpower will get a negative multiplier and subtract from our score.

That is correct.
Could the pole be used to pole vault??
I think it would be good to go with a stealth or perception based strategy.
Hannyabal and I have the highest stat+willpower totals at 9. Stealth for me or perception for Hannyabal, so we would be the ones executed those plans.

Coal dust was applied to both you and Batman so you're both at 5 Stealth for the time being. My individual total might be the highest at 10 but that honestly probably won't even matter.
Alright. For those of you with the crafting skills, I suggest that you get to crafting.
Make some moss moccasins, and ivy ropes, and moss-ivy-coal smoke bombs. Can we perhaps rig up a mechanism for dropping rubble and rocks through the horizontal crack onto the path below, as a distraction?
Then, when the time is right, we have the athletic types trigger the distractions and smoke bombs, while the stealthy types lead the way out.
Sound like a plan?

We could use these to hold rubble and rocks in the horizontal crack until they are knocked loose.
Just to confirm, there doesn't appear to be any difficulty traversing the ridge path aside from the dragon, right? Or can we assume we need to prepare for difficulty with it?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
We could potentially use torches handles and ivy ropes as a ladder if we need that for anything.
I don't think we have ivy ropes though
~17.5 hours remaining.
The exit from the other path being accessible suggests that we can cause a diversion on that path. How we do so is less clear. I cant fathom a way to make a loud noise or explosion with what we have. Any chemists can think of a combustion reaction we can cause? We have quartz and coal. And magma available.
With stat boosts, my stealth is 5, willpower is 3. Unless the stealth threshold is 10, even a +1 roll will get me across. So I will attempt to cross the ridge and maybe I will find something of use there.
Try: Sneak across the ridge
Uh oh.
Try: Sneak across the ridge
You slowly and quietly move towards the ridge, eyes fixed on the great beast, ready to take action if you detect even the slightest of movements. Thankfully, everything seemed calm, and you proceed onwards.
You keep moving, and as you come closer to the dragon, you realize just how big and strong the creature really is, if awakened, you will have no chance of survival. The realization of what's at stake hits you at that moment, and you start to feel a little sick. This was too much, a single mistake, and you are gone. Fear started to make its way in your heart, and your steps felt heavier. You took a little break, you needed it. You started to take deep breaths to calm your nerves. As you started to recover, suddenly you felt a gust of wind as the dragon moved, perhaps it was waking up, perhaps it was just shifting its position… Either way, you are not taking any chances, you bolted back to the clearing, and jumped to safety.
You have failed your first attempt. Everyone take -1 damage to willpower.
Guys, I have to go for a while, but will be back in about 12 or so hours. Since there are only 8 hours left in the day, I have decided to further extend it by 12 hours.
You now have 20 hours remaining from this post.
Alright. For those of you with the crafting skills, I suggest that you get to crafting.

Try: Wrapping chunks of coal with moss and ivy. (Enough for each of us to have several pieces if possible)
I love the plan to stuff the rubble into the crack, but I think we can improve on it.
Instead of having our athletic players trigger it and run, we could have them break some coal into much smaller pieces and create a trail from the crack leading to the exit. We'll prop up the rubble with the poles and torches as you suggested, and we can light the coal trail from the exit to create a fuse. We quietly start down the path after igniting it, leaving one person at the beginning of the ridge to watch the fuse. As soon as the wood holding up the rumble catches fire, they'll signal the rest of us by throwing their smoke bomb into the magma before starting down the path with the rest of us. The three on the ridge will all stop and drop our smoke bombs into the magma below, which will briefly alert the dragon and have it looking in our direction. The smoke and our coal stealth boost should cover us long enough for the first support holding up the rubble to break, which will send the dragon looking towards the other path while we finish making our escape.
The exit from the other path being accessible suggests that we can cause a diversion on that path. How we do so is less clear. I cant fathom a way to make a loud noise or explosion with what we have. We only have three more attempts at this. Lets not waste them_._
Try: Break some of the coal into small pieces/powder
Sounds like a great plan, Snowy-girl. Let's start putting it together.
I'm still having some trouble grasping the situation but I think this sounds like a good plan? The lookout probably needs to be perceptive and fast and I think I fit the bill on both counts.

It's now night.

Buggy: What you need a narrative reason for that? Hmm… well, I guess the Dragon is going to wake up, and follow you to wherever you are. There, done! Gyahahahahaha
