Watched the two episodes last night. It felt like I was watching a movie and I really enjoyed what I saw. I think they did a great job with adapting the wild expressions from the characters but I can see that some whiplashes in the heavier parts of the story can turn off some people.
I vaguely remember some of the earlier story beats but I'm going to make an effort to not reread the manga so I can go in surprised. Definitely going to follow this one weekly!

Episode 6 is a beautiful artistic episode like 1 was, but it seems we're going to get the odd CG ones here and there especially when a horse is involved, I guess?
Genba's a fun character, maybe my favorite other than Yorishige.

Horses are just too expensive to animate, they had to be sacrificed for the sake of everything else.
