I think it's such a waste that Big Mom isn't using Pudding to edit the memories of all the people she had captured to be loyal soldiers. Instead of murdering some and imprisoning the others. She could have gotten the Germa long ago by simple manipulation this way.

That'd require more memory manipulation than Pudding might be able to do. She can't create memories from scratch, and so a memory modification of that large a scale would be incredibly tricky to pull off, as the target would still have to keep their knowledge of their abilities, but still be loyal enough to Big Mom, and not have such a disconnect between various memories that they would probably go insane.

Not to mention they might start to remember at various points causing more problems.

Now if Pudding could shoot her ability with her gun that would be neat. I don't think Pudding would be at that level of expertise, but frightening if so.

So you want her to be Pakunoda from Hunter x Hunter? Her power is to literally shoot Memory Bomb bullets from a pistol at people to give/erase memories. Personally, I think that would be rather cool.

You got me! Maybe. With Oda's twist of course.

I have a question from those who know Japanese:
Can Vinsmoke Rogue's correct name be Vinsmoke Rokuji? (Due to the number 6 on her lap)–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Although I wouldn't deny the probability of your expectations but I don't think we get to see shaolin monks in Wano since Wano's theme is Japanese Shogunate and Shaolin monks are a theme for China...
What made me think like that was how they called Raizo a samurai and they said they call all these different type of things as samurai in a general way, I don't see another Asian themed setting coming up after Wano so if there's ever a time for a shaolin monk it will probably be in wano, though I do agree with the technicalities you pointed out.

…Don Chin chu jao..pointy head doesn't count?

We in the west might say the feudal Japan inspired Wano is our "Asian" setting for the time being, but I kinda doubt Oda, who lives in Japan, would just mush his own country and China together like that. He'd be super aware of the differences between the two, and isn't about to treat all of Asia like it's one country. It'd be like a writer here fusing, say, America and Germany to do a "Western" setting.

I'm Asian so I know a thing or two about the differences, thank you though. The whole monk thing with twirling hats as attacks was a joke and while I agree that Wano itself won't have Chinese influences (most probably) you forget that Kaido has invaded and ruling the place alongside the traitorous Shogun, not saying Kaido is Chinese but his name is derived from the Mongolian ruler who ruled over China so what of his influences to the arc? He obviously would have made changes that go against their cultural roots. When I say "see this in Wano" I'm referring to the arc itself, not just the country.

My apologies for assuming where you were from. I've just come in and read the last page or two of the thread, so I think I missed the joke.
I didn't know that about Kaido, it's very interesting. In fact I'm quite curious to see how he ended up setting himself up in Wano - why would such a proud, closed-borders nation accept a foreign pirate as a ruler? Kinda hoping there's something deeper there than "he was really stronk so we did what he said."

It's not just Kaido, the shogun of Wano is in cahoots with him so he has insider help, they both boiled Oden alive and laid siege on the country, unfortunately I actually do believe they're ruling the place with an iron fist. There's a place in the OPverse called Kano, where Sai and Don Chinjao are from, so if Wano is predominantly Japanese then Kano might be Chinese and probably where Kaido is originally from. Historically, a lot of Chinese emperors have tried to take over Japan so there could be a link.

Insider help and iron fists or not, the culture of Wano doesn't seem to be one that would encourage its citizens to accept foreign leaders easily. That's how you plant the seeds of an upsiring. Perhaps that's why Kin'emon was so confident he'd be able to find allies there.
Kaido being from Kano is a new theory to me. I kinda like it actually. As well as the name coding him Chinese, the mustachios and the dragon tattoo are features shared by him and the man we saw in Kano talking about the Reverie in chapter 823. That said, Kaido's design overall seems to be going for an oni kinda deal, which reads more Japanese. Could just be because of where he's been living but… I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
