I'm sure all you One Piece fans know the thing with my username. If not, it's just a failed insult from Luffy that I still find VERY amusing to this day. I first got into One Piece when I saw the very first issue of the English Shonen Jump on the news stand. I remember being surprised by how different the artwork looked compared to what I was used to (for manga) and that it was a western/European looking pirate manga.
Then the 4Kids anime came out with that rap that made me cringe. I swear, "Yo-ho-ho he took a bite of gum-gum" will haunt me for all of my days. That and all of the super corny jokes that were cringe-worthy, a Luffy (and other characters) that weren't given any indication of an acting range, and the horrible description 4Kids gives for The 7 Warlords of the Sea. Needless to say I'm really happy FUNimation has the rights to it now.
Lastly, I found out about these forums by listening to the OnePiece Podcast.
Just one question: I was trying to vote on some POLL stuff and it says I don't have permission or something like that. Is that an error or am I just not allowed at my Newness level or something?
Yeah, once you've made some posts elsewhere around the forum, you should be able to vote in the polls.
