Yeah, this is true. The trend is just weird to me(especially with YJ in particular) how a series will have little to no attention from western readers until it gets anime. Kingdom and Tokyo Ghoul being the obvious examples off the top of my head - but stuff like Zetman and Brynhildr too. I think this series will be extremely popular in time… it is just a matter of when - likely not until anime.

I think the western audience don't get much attention because it is hard to understand them and/or hard to translate them. The seinen series' story is much more complex and harder than shounen series. So, I bet the western audience don't want to waste their time on seinen series until they get high popularity (like Kingdom, Terra Formars, Tokyo Ghoul, and Kangoku Gakuen).

True. But ones with this level of popularity in the east tend to follow a similar trend in the west. Like with Boku dake ga Inai Machi as a currently happening example.

For me, I think just upload non-original action series will get popular in Arlong Park. Seriously, people make criticism for being cliche and already done that in other series, but I highly doubt people in here actually even tried to read something new here. Even they aren't trying new thing, then why do they even complain for being cliche.

And it fits nicely with the other historical series that I'm also following (Innocent, Vinland saga, Vagabond, Cesare, Ad astra, Historie, Gunka no Baltzar, Kingdom, Otoyomegatari, Horizon, etc..).

The series is pretty good so far.
