The only JoJo-bro in part 6 was Wes, Anasui was just awkward, at least he had a good backstory. What really pissed me off was the fact that Araki teased us with Giorno in part 6 and never showed us if he really was there.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part II: Do the Dio Walk!

What about F.F.? She was the perfect bro. Or sis.
-
She lacked development, she was fine playing the straight guy for Annasui.

She was an interesting character, more of a subtle development to be honest. Annasui is awful and Part 6 isn't any better.
Fun fact, Part 6 was the first part I read more than a decade ago -
10 years? Impossible, Stone Ocean was only fully translated like three years ago. At best! Right?google it a bitOh my god! It's been 8 (EIGHT) years since Stone Ocean was fully scanlated???Oh! My! God!EIGHT YEARS!!! SUN AT THE BEACH! Now I'm feeling old…btw, god bless you Saurian and Freshy. We will never forget you!

Steel Ball Run was the first part that I've read from the beginning, I feel old. Watching the OVA/playing the Heritage game and reading Stone Ocean was just a big 'WTF is going on', especially how bizarre Stone Ocean was.
-
Episode was brilliant, the opening song was okayish but the foreshadowings? Amazing, amazing, it was amazing! (Cue Kaiji Narrator). Speaking of KAIJI, this gif is pretty much how I felt with the opening
-
Quite good, I forgot how insane Rohan really was, and the backstory about Josuke's hair still gets me a little. New opening is alright but the first one is still my favorite among Jojo openings, and as for the ending I like how as new characters are introduced they get added to the ending. Also as far as the new opening goes, I forgot about that one character that becomes part of the crew, the chubby guy. Geez there's so much I forgot about this part, but every episode reminds me why I love this part the most. I can't wait for the parts that I do remember.
-
That beatdown on Rohan was brutal though not undeserved.
-
The amount of foreshadow put on the OP is insane, and almost all so subtly done, bravo. But the first one had a better funky flow.
-
Hmmm. I dig the OP, but it's kind of different like compared to the previous parts. Probably the most rock/punk influenced OP I've seen so far in the series. Sounds kind of like a Bleach OP if you ask me. I like it though, kind of wish I read the manga first so I know what the hell I'm watching during it. I wonder how the last OP towards the end will look like.
-
I replayed Rohan getting punched in the face more times that I am willing to admit
-
The Visuals on Reimi looked beautiful, just 2 weeks from today we are gonna see her in the anime.Rohan got Steely Dan level of rekt.
-
I thought getting my Rohan shot would make me able to wait a bit longer for Kira. But no. WHERE IS KIRA???

Living a quiet live until some meddling kids appear. I also would like to say that every week I fall in live more and more with the VAs. Their work is phenomenal.

Jotaro is at his best in Part 4 and Part 6 (more flaws to his character which makes me appreciate this character a lot more than his Part 3 incarnation). Part 6 jotaro is top 3 best characters in SO along with Pucci (fantastically well written antagonist who I love to hate on as a person) and Jolyne (too pure for SO).
-
Yep. I guess I am really the only one here who dislikes Pucci. But again, I disliked Part 6 as a whole anyway.
-
I dislike both Ono D (PunPun) and Shinji (NGE) both as people but I can't deny that they complex characters that are deeply flawed.
Pucci is an asshole, yet charismatic and deeply flawed as a character, he's also complex. That's why I appreciate him.Once Part 4 anime is done, can we just skip to SBR?

Jotaro was practically a jobber in Part 6, its one of the reasons the japanese hated Part 6.Its kinda funny how Reimi got to defeat a main villain and Jolyne couldnt..
-
Wes and Pucci had the best backstory in part 6, but it was nice to see Jolyne getting stronger and stronger, learning new ways to use her simplistic stand.
Another great character in part 6 was Donatello.

Oh, c'mon, Part 6 is great. Jolyne is one of the best JoJo out there (although she was more interesting in the earlier parts when she was less serious), Pucci is one of the best villains, F.F. is just too damn lovable, Annasui is suck a complete jerk you can't help but love him too (kinda like Joushuu), Weather Report is a complete badass, the fights may not be the best but the final one is probably the most exciting of all the last boss fights in the franchise. And it is arguably the most bizarre part of them all - maybe a bit too bizarre…And while I am not a big fan of Part 5, I think it will do great in the anime format. So I'm excited to see it too.
-
There is no Joestar better than Johnny Joestar so far (Gappy is amazing though I can see him being my 2nd favourite Joestar, knocking out Jolyne).
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
"Jobbed" should not be used in this series, this is a series when a rat once defeated a time stopping user... it's all about strategy and outwitting your opponent.
Also I can see Jojolion surpassing Steel Ball Run chapter count, I'd be contempt if this were to be the last final part of this series (Araki is 56 and once mentioned he would like to retire in his 60's). We can get more spin off one shots for other characters such as Hol Horse, Shizuka Joestar, etc...

I liked all three sons of Dio in Part 6 though they should have been introduced way earlier.

Only interesting thing about Wes was his outfit, flashback and stand ability. Way tooooo stoic for my tastes, those disliked Part 3 Jotaro will defo hate on this character.
I'm more hyped for a potential Jojolion anime than both Golden Wind/Stone Ocean adaptations combined. Jojolion is brillaint so far, by far my favourite series to read on a monthly basis (A Bride's story, Dorohedoro and Vinland Saga too).

I dislike the term 'jobber' especially when it is used in JJBA, Jotaro did well against Pucci, more than RATT
-
so what do you guys think are the chances of Purple Haze Distortion getting an OVA. I'm callin' it at moderate to high.

Part 5 is a beloved part in Japan, the Fujoshis will be sure to see more Golden Wind content.
I rather see Tonio's oneshot (Thus spoke) be adapted, since it fleshes out his character a lot more than we know about him from Part 4. Deadman question, Rohan at the louvre and UEUJ are great and needs to be adapted. -

It's hard to look at what happened to certain characters in this series in certain fights and not make the
"they jobbed" argument, having a major character losing is necessary to illustrate the level of threat a villain or potential supporting character poses but when you have these characters effectively get walked over and not
put up much within the way of offense or fall victim to some ridiculous bullshit, like what happened to Will in
Phantom Blood and Avdol in Stardust Crusaders you're really not doing yourself any favors. -
Dressrossa Arc > JJBA Part 6, yeah I said it, lol.But seriously, Jotaro Post Part 3 was basically at the same status as the likes of Sanji…
-
^Seeing how I liked both of those things it's an apples to oranges situation comparing them. One is an arc of a long running series where everything connects, while the other one is from a long running series where little is connected. As far as just being Jojo, the fights were a bit of a mess in part 6, I can't deny that. However there were some really good ones and the climax was really well done, and I did like the characters and setting so I put it up higher compared to others. I still don't have a high opinion of part 3, but the anime did make me look at Jotaro a little better. In the end I think I enjoyed all the parts, but some were better than others and a few parts I wouldn't really go through again.

Phantom Blood and Avdol in Stardust Crusaders you're really not doing yourself any favors.Yeah I always felt it was weird how they just got..you know insta-killed. Like they didn't stand a chance and it was more of a plot thing than an actual defeat due to lack of skill. Avdol's death really threw me for a loop, like really? Just BOOM he's gone? It was kind of an overpowered stand gimmick death and I didn't really care for it. While Zepelli's death seemed way more destined and plot influenced, if not just a device to cause conflict. But yeah I wouldn't of minded Avdol dying ("again") in Part 3, I just didnt like the way it was done at all.
-
To be fair about Avdol, Araki apparently realized very early on that Magician's Red was overpowered as all hell for that point in the series (stopping time doesn't really stop the fact that you are on fucking fire) and thus tried sidelining Avdol whenever he could. His two deaths were Araki getting fed up.
-
I wish Araki killed Fugo as well.
-
Same thing happened with Fugo in Vento Aureo. He figured out that Fugo's Stand was ridiculously OP if used right and decided the Okuyasu method of "The Stand is OP but the user is too dumb to use it right" didn't work for some reason, so that's why Fugo is the one Passione member who refuses to fight Diavolo and just leaves.

Wonder what was his excuse for benching Kakayoin following the N'Doul fight. Then losing his
soul and dying such a miserable death. -

He was also meant to betray the crew but Araki didn't follow through the plan for whatever reasons.

Because then Araki would have to give Purple Haze more fights and Man in the Mirror was enough of a fiasco for him.
-
Part 5 just had a lot of forgotten plot threads which just makes me dislike this part even more (least favourite JJBA part).
There were some Part 3 Jojonium author notes that discusses Hol Horse and Avdol role in the story (Hol Horse didn't have limitations to his stand ability such as Mista and Araki decided not to let him join the crusaders and Araki wishing he would have explored Avdol's character a lot more, such as his family/not dying too soon, etc.. ..)/
-
@Cyan:

The evidence is certainly damning to say the least.
Though there's also Polnareff:ninja:

Yep part of the reason I wanted more Avdol is because Magician's Red might just be my favorite stand. At Least top 5. I love the design and the attacks, but sidelining such an awesome stand is really frustrating to the reader/viewer, however necessary to the plot it may be.

Araki shouldve just Kakyoind him(like the fight vs Younger Darby).

We're getting Part 4 Jotaro\s best outfit tomorrow (he wears 3 throughout DIU).

Reminding us that this guy is currently a marine biologist.
