Y'know what I just realized? Girty Lue has Mirage Colloid. And Djibril didn't go through the back door and ran right into Legend. Stupid Djirbil for forgetting the back door and Mirage Colloid. He died for trying the same tactic over and over, and that the viewers despised him. burn Djibril!

Woot! Awesome episode!
But… Cagalli makes me emo. She didn't have her ring on, and she was crying in the end. Poor Cagalli.
Well, at least the Akatsuki is in good hands. Woot! Go Mwu!
-
hehe he died by those draggons that can pierce shilds. they're awesome and i'll call them "dagger dragoons" form now on :D
-
Dagger Dragoons….good name!
And only 50 eps?
I was hoping for 51... -
@yokaiforte:
Did you forget that Kira's Strike Freedom has "super" dragoon wings
Nah, just that when he first used them I felt as if it was weird.
Having Akatsuki equipped with them, made me bring up the point.
Although I ain't complaining, DRAGOONS/Funnels whatever, they are pretty awesome.
-
Damn, it looks like Meer is gonna bite the dust.. Kinda sad since I have began to feel pity for her =(
-
yup she's dead. and Athrun was badass in this ep. the best guy with a handugn in their universe :D
screencaps
http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2005/09/03/gundam-seed-destiny-46/but meer died with style

OMG, Athrun crying even make me pity her even more XD Stupid Dullindal! It's all your fault!
-
Darn Dullindal and his Destiny Plan… he knew that that would happen... knowing that once she served her purpose, she'd dieXD ... but anyway... Athrun is godly with a handgun. Kira can own suits in gundams, but he can't even shoot with a gun easily.... o well... i guess that means that Athrun's training in ZAFT sure came in handy... but what about Meyrin... she's just as bad as Kira...
-
Meer's death was such a cliche. :(
The usual redeeming dive out in front of a bullet routine, then she is clutched in someones arms and dies.
Poor Meer, she was hot too!
-
well technically she dies in the beginning of the next ep, she's just fell unconscious and is bleeding to death.
-
I thought she had died right at the end, when Athrun punched the ground and shouted "Damn it".
Ahh well, she is as good as dead. ;)
Almost depressing that the series will end in a matter of weeks, it's probably not my favourite series of Gundam but it was damn good to watch for all this time.
-
New Spoilers. They are probably from Newtype.
PHASE-47 [Meer]
Kira and friends find a media disk containing Meer's diary in her beongings. Meanwhile Chairman Dullindal says in a speech that the cause of the war is mankind's ignorance and desire. He announces that the ultimate relief to this is the "Destiny Plan".PHASE-48 [Shin Sekai e] (Towards a new world)
Dullindal announces that the Destiny Plan involves genetic engineering techniques, and analyzation of each individual's nature to assign appropriate roles. Shinn, bewildered by the content of the plan, begins to keep an eye on Dullindal, while Rey attempts to persuade him. As with many other nations, Cagalli prepares to lead Orb in denying the plan. As all this develops, Dullindal orders Requiem to fire at the EA base Alzahel (sp?).PHASE-49 [Rey]
En route to destroy Requiem's first relay point, the Archangel and the Eternal's way is blocked by the Minerva.PHASE-50 [Saigo no Chikara] (The Final (last?) Strengeth (power?))
Athrun & Shinn, and Kira & Rey fight one-on-one. Kira learns the shocking truth about Rey's birth. -
Amazing, I thought the final episode would be called "Shinn"… anyway, it seems that the series is going to be inconclusive to what happens in the final episode and continue in Gundam SEED 3.
-
pr mabye just an OVA. eitherway it looks like it won't really end. but then again spoiler don't usualy tell it all and nowadays some magazine spoilers weren't even completely accurate anyway .anyway the last 3 eps could end a lot of things in a good way but that 'll never happen.
-
hmm… an OVA... I can't really see that ending the series for some reason... but I don't like the idea of cramming the final battle in three episodes. Also, AA better hurry up and stop Requiem before he aims it at ORB. I also noticed that they mentioned Yzak or Dearka>=( . O well... they were doomed to be side characters at the end...
-
i thought requiem was destroyed? and dullindal orders it to be destroyed? but why is he using it now?
confused
-
It was not destroyed right? I don't remember them destroying it other than destroying the control centre.
This is crazy, firing it at Earth. Well, maybe it will not cause crazy devastation like Genesis would but won't they risk cutting the earth in half?
-
I'll have Earth sunny-side up please.
sigh
Now we have an earth cutter on our hands… -
eh??? i thought dullindal was for peace and he said these mass destruction is inhuman or shouldnt be done but why is he using it
-
eh??? i thought dullindal was for peace and he said these mass destruction is inhuman or shouldnt be done but why is he using it
Dullindal says a lot of things, with his weird ideals. . .He will make Earth getting destroyed seem just. . .Even to Naturals.
-
What he says and what he thinks are two different things. shrugs He's a shrewd one.
-
well he is for peace but in his way in will not tkae no for an answer and therefore anyone who is not with him gets crisped.
-
Actually, I don't think that Requiem is strong enough to cut through the earth. It definitely doesn't have the power of GENESIS, but it's more of a butter knife that can cut through the PLANTs. But yea, he is for peace, but only for those who follow. All those who defy him can gather to ORB, cause that's where I think he'll be aiming after his first target. ORB is definitely not going with his Destiny Plan, and the colonies that served as relay points are gathered around the moon, supposedly to be placed for destruction, but it still is a big toy.
-
wow not destroying requiem and now he is using it, anyone else thinks he is part of the planning for this super weapon requiem?
-
of course. he had Destroy specs so he probably had Reqiuem specs as well. and from what they tell me this is one mora homage to original MSG (i wouldn't know as i haven't seen it. )
-
and from what they tell me this is one mora homage to original MSG (i wouldn't know as i haven't seen it. )
I thought SEED was more a MSG for the Cosmic Era, and SEED Destiny was Zeta Gundam for the Cosmic Era.
-
I think he's refering that it's like the Universal Century.
-
Ahh then I obviously agree haha.
Yeah, there is so many things that you can relate it too. . Both series even. Similar character personalities, relationships. . .Factions.
Even Haro!
-
screw this thread that i can't post in
-
Huh? well, anyway, 47 was pretty sad. So sad I wished I knew Japanese. Hiro better get this out soon. But it was pretty scary with Lacus at the end. Anyway, Destiny Plan revealed, big surprise. Next episode, Requiem fires at the lunar base of Althaea, which would prove that the Earth is in no danger of being sliced in half, that is, of course, that the moon gets sliced in half too…
-
there are soem issues with the forum so when i want to post a reaply it doesn't work. But when i send it to hell it posts and when iw ant to edit it it doesn't work again. :|
edit: oh great it worked now . so here's my 10 hour old reply
anyway this was really another worthless ep since it was almost about Meer and a lttle Destiny plan, but at least there was little Shinn and there was a pissed off Lacus. Here some pics.
http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2005/09/10/gundam-seed-destiny-47/
the last one on the bottom rightside is the one wiht pissed off Lacus. very scaryoh wait here's a bigger version
-
I won't call that a useless episode though.. IT is a character development episode devoted to the poor Meer. Kinda wierd that they would only develop her character only after she has died. XD
-
In memory of Meer. the lacus blood dance:laugh:
-
I've seen something like that, only it's edited so that Lacus is holding a tambourine and there's a light show. Fukuda really screwed up Meer's death with that spinning dance fall.
-
What's happening to Meer actually in that one…I can't see it too clearly..
-
She's being shot at, and instead of just falling down, she spins gracefully and lands.
-
Heh,just DL'd the ep.
Hahahaha!
That part was pretty lame.. -
Yeah, it's a bit of a strange concept of character development after one's death…
-
that's Fukuda for ya <_<

as for todays' ep here a summary. by shouki from Animesuki
pre-OP: A replay of Gilbert's speech from end of previous ep, but with a lot of recap shots from the whole series as background. One new bit is a whole datacenter of supercomputers coming online for the Destiny Plan.
The Destiny Plan is explained as being where everyone's DNA is analysed and your future is basically determined from your genes. The cartoon to help describe this was awfully corney I thought. Ugh.
Rey and Shinn are watching from their room and Lunamaria goes over to talk to Shinn, but a super-cold Rey tells her to buzz off. Rey explains to Shinn that he should have known the type of world Gilbert wanted to create (eg from the last time Shinn, Gilbert and Athrun were together) and that he wouldn't give up. He also tells Shinn that Gilbert chose Shinn - because he has the strength and desire to save the world. Rey starts acting a bit freaky here and looks like he's suffering. Eventually, he takes out some blue/white pills (the same sort as Rau used) and has a lie-down. Later in the ep, when he wakes up (Shinn watches over him the whole time), he continues to tell Shinn that he must fight on no matter what anyone else says and to trust Gilbert for everything. Shinn's rather concerned about how Rey's acting - "like a character in a drama who's about to die". Rey says that actually, he doesn't have much time to live… since "After all, I am a clone."
Meanwhile, in the world, nobody's really sure how to respond to Gilbert's statement. Except Orb and the Kingdom of Scandanavia - who are both opposed. Cagalli is seen strongly leading the other family heads in Orb, giving a speech to the parliament, and a brief clip of her is shown on TV (from Gilbert's point of view). The AF president, on the Arzachel moon base, is seen waving his hands around on TV and Gilbert comments that he's clueless without LOGOS to direct him. A fleet of EA ships take off from the base. Gilbert orders Requiem to start charging. The ZAFT fleet around the Requiem base and moon is ordered to attack the EA fleet.
Meanwhile, on the AA, the main characters are talking and obviously they are opposed to the Destiny Plan - and they are also in contact with Orb and also talk to Andy in Eternal (by the Factory asteroid).
Before there is any battle between ZAFT and the Arzachel EA forces, Requiem fires and wipes the lot out, and the base (very GENESIS like). This shocks pretty much everyone. btw, Gilbert is very casual about the whole thing - more like "ooh, who shall I shoot first?". EA is now pretty much kaput, and the AF president is dead too. The EA is pretty much put out of its misery.
Gilbert's justification for firing Requiem is pretty much: The Destiny Plan is the only way to save humanity, so attacking it is like being an enemy of humanity. Oh, and Orb is next after the EA base - Requiem can hit pretty much anywhere on Earth (though might need to wait for rotation I guess since they only have a few relay points). Gilbert has also ordered Shinn and Rey to come to Messiah, with their respective MS, though doesn't say why.
Lacus pretty much orders everyone to prepare for battle - the Archangel launches with several Izumo-class Orb ships, and the Eternal moves out with a bunch of other ships.
Back on the Minerva, Shinn and Lunamaria find out EA got Requiem'd and Rey is very calm about the whole thing (Lunamaria is looking increasingly nervous about the whole situation, and Rey's attitude). Rey tells Shinn that it's not over yet - next up will be the Archangel etc.
The title of the next ep is simply "Rey" and looks likely to be non-stop action. The DOMs are seen beating up on ZAKUs etc and Akatsuki's DRAGOONs are shown in action. We also see Yzak.
Basically looks like the "final battle" is a countdown to stop Requiem from firing again - with Orb being the likely target.
-
pretty boring ep and 2 eps left geeze
-
Agered. I was kinda disappointed. Well, I might even say GSD is a flop now ^^;;;
-
well if Talia kills Dullindal with a bazooka i'll consider this a good series
-
I would like to see that.
More Akatsuki action!
YES! -
Ep 50 Preview out. The Messiah has a genesis. Some messiah, Dullindal. Looks like Luna doesn't die or that she dies in 50, either that or that part with impulse was just a flashback, but that's unlikely. But if it's 50, terrible ending, as usual Fukuda.
-
Spoilers: (I stripped out the japanese text) From Gundam Ace
49Requiem's shot fired by Dullindal had in effect annilated the EAF. ArchAngel and Eternal, trying to prevent a third shot from firing, swiftly moved toward the first relay point. This is when Shinn became confused about the path he ought to choose. Seeing him like this, Rey spoke about his own birth for the first time.
50
With Rey backing him, Shinn made up his mind and decided to follow Dullindal. Launching along side with Rey, they came face to face with Athrun and Kira again. However, Kira tried to avoid battling and headed for the destination for the final battle, Dullindal's mobile fortress Messiah…!
-
Thank you for the spoiler StrawHatLuffy.
Personally, I'm a bit dissappointed if it does end at 50. There is little or not much character development in the series. The only characters I've seen grow are Cagalli & Athrun. As for the main character of Destiny, I see no point in the presence of Shinn. It seems like that he is simply there just to go against Kira.
-
Yeah, Shinn isn't exactly the best protagonist… if he even is a protagonist... anyway... maybe you'd take a look at this that i found in the seed-forums:http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/1370/11275546034226qn5ng.jpg
Yeah. Akatsuki is a whole lot stronger than we thought.
