I wonder, will we get Urien's original thong skin from SF3?:ninja:
Street Fighter V

-
If I remember correctly, if Urien takes enough damage, his cloth will be shredded revealing his traditional look.
-
Is that so? I was curious because when I played Third Strike as a kid I always wondered, "Why did he take his clothes off to fight me?".
As you can see, I always had the complicated questions as a child.¯_(ツ)_/¯
-
Is that Poison on the background?
-
Is that Poison on the background?
no, those are Rival Schools characters.
Urien looks as sick as ever, I just wish my fingers could into charge characters.

I only recognize two of them.
His theme is also dope.

Street Fighter V's version 1.06 update is now officially live on PS4 and PC. This major update adds Urien as an unlockable character (costing 100k Fight Money or $5.99). Daily Challenges also make their long-awaited debut, giving players another way to earn Fight Money to unlock new content. Update 1.06 also adds New Stage K.O's / Transitions, "VS CPU" mode, Necalli's new costume, and the new bug fixes.
Good Capcom ;) Making another way to gain FM still in this year.
Now, the only thing I can expect in this year is some buffs/nerfs.
-
And, this happened..
On Thursday, SFV's update on PS4 went smoothly, but the PC version's patch actually made participating PC players vulnerable to Malware. Uhh oh. The update included a "secret rootkit" giving any installed application kernel-level privileges, opening the door for malicious software. Capcom stated they used the driver to stop PC players from hacking and cheating, but the "poorly-written" code actually opens up a local backdoor. For precise details on what went wrong, here's an excerpt from TheRegister's article on the subject.
Just after TheRegister posted their article,
that they are rolling back the security features of the update:
So it seems the problem is fixed, for now… as Capcom reverted back to a previous PC build of SFV while still including the new content. If you'd like to read more on the topic and read drama-filled reactions from the PC community, see "Warning: To All SFV PC Players" on Reddit.

With Urien out, my roster is complete, for now. I've got Juri, Ibuki, and Mr. Thong himself, not really interested in the others. I'm waiting until season 2 gets announced before I spend the rest of my points though.
And for all the shit we rightfully give Capcom for SFV's failings, you have to admit it's kinda cool that I got to pick my DLC characters individually, and got them for free. Compared to the old model, of buying 20-dollar mandatory updates that bundle 1 or 2 characters I want with 4 I don't care about, it's much better.

Capcom is celebrating the season with Halloween costumes and a "Happy Halloween" stage in Street Fighter V. The new content will go on sale October 11th (only until Nov. 29th). Premium Halloween costumes will cost $3.99 each and the Halloween stage is $1.99 or 40K Fight Money.

How're people been liking the "daily challenges"? (or "weekly challenges and one every-other-daily challenge", as the case may be)
6k-7k a week isn't great, but it's something. Super easy to earn, too. I like the ones about doing stage interactions, more than the "use this feature!" stuff.
-
I do fine the Daily Challenges helpful :D
-
No package deal for costumes like for sf4, prices for the costumes themselves way too high and mostly just costumes for men. Yeah, laaaaaame. xDD
-
Now, who do you think will be available in the second wave of characters ? The tough part is the fact that Capcom needs to please the casuals and the competitive scenarios equally.
For me, most of the characters that appeared during the cutscenes of the story mode (I need Oro).
-
Peter or bust, tbh
-
-
You can't have Karin make her big comeback and not invite her rival, Sakura.
-
16 character of Q.
-
@The:
You can't have Karin make her big comeback and not invite her rival, Sakura.
If that happens, then I guess I'll have no choice but to buy a PS4
-
@The:

Well they did have Sakura and not Karin in Alpha 2 and Street Fighter 4:ninja:
-
I think Sagat, Sakura, and Akuma are too popular not to get included, and I'm surprised none of them were in the initial game. After that, Q would make a great "hey isn't it cool we brought back this fan-favorite that hadn't been in a SF game for years!" pick, provided they re-work him to not overlap so much with Balrog. Then you have Viper, Abel, and Oro, who all appeared in the story mode, but I'm not sure if we should take that as a hint to their inclusion, or just a cameo to make up for their exclusion.
And finally, how about some NEW characters? Like Ed, or Azam, or Shibasaki (isn't it weird that he's the only NPC to appear on the main menu?)
I guess I'll make a prediction of Sagat, Akuma, Sakura, Q, Oro, and Viper. but the 6 I want to see the most would be Adon, Cody, Dudley, Poison, Q, and Yun.
-
throw in an Arika character too
like Skullomania
mostly skullomania
add skullomania -
It's pretty unlikely, but I'd like Sodom to make a return. It's been a while since he's been in.
-
Well well well, speak of the devil. Or the demon, as the case may be.
-
Wow…They went with Akuma ? Meh, not bad, the game needs more shotos. BTW, I loved the stage.
Sakura was mentioned in Ibuki's story, so she is not "off the list" of possible characters.
-
Announcing him like this makes me think that maybe there won't be a "season 2" in the way we thought, but rather just a slow addition of characters and costumes and stuff. It's not like they released the characters all at once anyway, and I think they probably intended to keep them a secret better than they did. So maybe they'll try that again this year, only announcing characters a month or so before releasing them.
-
Maybe not like the first wave was announced, but to me, this Akuma reveal is more a "commercial appeal" to the game.
-
Hot on the heels of the Akuma announcement, Capcom unveiled a brand new Street Fighter V stage called "Skies of Honor". This epic-looking stage has fighters battling it out on the wing of an airplane (which appears to be owned by Rashid). Players can purchase Skies of Honor for either 70,000 in-game Fight Money or $3.99 (USD).

Screenshots 3 Gameplay demo of the new stage was added.
Ahh, I thought it was Akuma's stage, anyway, I liked.

Famitsu recently sat down with Capcom's Yoshinori Ono and Tomoaki Ayano to talk Street Fighter V. In the interview, Ono reiterates Capcom plans to expand SFV well into the future, up until 2020 in fact. When asked about other Capcom titles besides SFV, Ono said he'd like to work on them but efforts are currently focused on solidifying their eSports presence with SFV.
Famitsu: So, moving back to the earlier subject, how far does your current road map for Street Fighter 5 development go?
Ono: It's not just a 1-2 year thing. We're looking pretty far ahead… We've planned out as far as 2020 or so.
Ayano: Street Fighter 5 is a title we're adding on to as it goes along, so we're working on it while planning ahead on the best way to develop it further.
Famitsu: Are we going to see other titles than Street Fighter during that time, as well… ?
Ayano: That's not something I'd know, at my level, haha. Please, Ono-san, take over.
Ono: I'd be happy if we could. But first, we'd have to solidify Street Fighter 5 as an eSports title. I said in the beginning that we've seen a higher number of entrants than we had in the Street Fighter 4 era, but we'd like to heighten that even further.
The more people participate, the bigger tournaments we can host, and the more people are going to watch them, which is directly connected with our sales, and that's going to decide the future.
Ono said this, but a rumor of a 4th MvC appeared. I know that SFV was not a big success (why they are adding Akuma as DLC in this year), but.. Another game ?

Capcom is giving Street Fighter V some holiday cheer with 6 unique Christmas costumes and even a stage to celebrate the holiday. These seasonal costumes will only be available until January 17th, 2017 and are priced at $3.99 each, while the the Holiday Stage costs $1.99 or 40,000 Fight Money (a bundle with everything will also be available for $19.99). The Holiday content will debut in playable form at this weekend's Playstation Experience, where Capcom will announce its release date.
Man…Those are some "interesting" skins. -
Well now that the game is rated and out they are just throwing those sexy skins out like crazy, not that I complain.^^
Also thank you capcops for making it finally available in a bundle.
And regarding their plans till 2020, that could just mean: Hey, we will keep the servers running guys. xDD
-
Boy, I sure am glad I boycotted Capcom for succumbing to SJW pressure and removing R. Mika's butt-slap! Clearly they're only focused on being PC and removing all traces of sexiness from the game! /sarcasm
But for real, I think the dudes need more costume love. Rashid, FANG, Urien, Birdie and Guile still only have their default 3 costumes that came out when they launched. I guess Urien has 4 if you count his clothes-off option, but.
-
i'm glad thy're dedicated to making laura the tackiest character in existence
as opposed to making her actually fun to play -
Here is Akuma
His hair sucks now
- the shadows of the rest of season 2
-
Why didn't they just go with Oni?
-
I almost confused Akuma for Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf lol.
-
Why didn't they just go with Oni?
Cuz Akuma is way cooler than this over the top Super Saiyan Blue
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
BTW interesting to read 5 COMPLETELY new characters.
The last one is wearing a GI... Please not another Shoto or something.
And give me ma Muay Thai fighter
-
Showing the hits of raging demon
That ain't right.
-
I kinda feel like "completely new" is just marketing words to reassure people they won't be getting old DLC characters, but brand-spankin' NEW ones.
Because there's far too many classic faces missing from this game to just add 5 more brand-new motherfuckers. I'm not even going to try and predict anything, since these silhouettes are even more esoteric than the last batch, and I was wrong on just about every count there, too.
-
I spot Blanka, Sagat and E.Honda but I'm not sure.
-
Character art for Akuma

…..Basically Sagat or Adon.
Would be OK but I don't see any of the shadows resembling them.
Adon would be better than Sagat for me.
But I would be down for a new student of Sagat with a more flashy style or him using Muay (Thai) Boran
-
"completely new" can mean a lot of things
like completely new to the main series
completely new to being playable
completely new to Street Fighter Vbasically what I'm saying is
Add Skullomania -
Akuma move list
http://game.capcom.com/cfn/sfv/fdata-gok.html
No 2nd critical art for all but SGS is V-Trigger only
-
Akuma's mane is somewhat unpleasant, but I did liked his moveset. About the new 5 characters, I hardly believe Capcom will release 5 totally new characters, I think they are going to just put 5 new characters in SFV.
IDK who but I will stick with the characters that appeared or who was mentioned during the cutscenes. (INeedOro)
-
I think the fourth shadow might be Sakura.
-
Did they just flat out confirm at capcup besides akuma all new chars are new?
-
I think they did. Stupid decision imo, I can understand 1 or 2 new faces, but this?
