Well, more variety of files on BT for me but I get faster speeds with IRC.
Oh crap, I didn't notice another thread already exists. Never mind.. I'll close that and use this instead.

Torrent for ease & convenience.Either way, I'm a happy little leecher. XD

Bittorrent has lots of great search sites and is terribly easy to use. But it is often slow.
IRC can get you some great speeds but it isn't the friendliest thing to use.
If I can get it from usenet then that is my first choice. Bittorrent is my fallback and irc is my last resort. -
Im trying to get into IRC but its just to damn confusing, I mean with just bittorrent you download BT and Divx and some other codacs and your all set, just find a decently seeded Torrent and you should have your file in a decent amount of time. (enless your downloading a 10 GB file but thats different)

Neither. I prefer direct downloads
.IRC can be a pleasant ride if everything goes smoothly: you find right bots, no queues and fast download. Although I'm good at forgetting stuff and almost everytime I use it I'll have to relearn it.
Torrents are nice if they're fresh and have a lot of seeders but it's not often the case with old files.

Due to the fact I have had bad experiences with IRC, I prefer bittorrent because it is more efficient for me. With OP it tends to work very well because GS and KF tend to get lots of seeders.

I read manga and I get them from different source than IRC/Torrent, which… I can download at least 1G of random thing per day >.>...
I got a new hard drive exactly one month ago and 45G of it is already filled o.o;
For IRC/Torrent, I usually recommend to use IRC. It might be hard at first, but you'll get used to it soon. I don't use Torrent unless I have absolutely no other choice...

BT if the file is popular, because it's more convenient. Just one click and then leave it to do other stuffs while waiting.
IRC if it's more obscure, because BT with few seeds = slow as hell.
One Piece is boring.
Only because it's boring to say every week, "This is awesome. Oda is a Genius.".

even though BT is slow its so much easier. on a normal night I just click on some links leave it over night and in the morning its all downloaded and seeded.

i'm a bittorrent guy. i have IRC but i haven't been educated on how to use it yet. i do like downloading in big batches with bittorrent though…
