If I'm gonna have to be the only one bitter about this, then I shall be ! :P
Not as pissed off as I was when I first read the script cause I obviously vented quite alot at the time but if I read this without knowing, weeeeell let's just say this thread would be on fire and there'd be a house pet missing.
I'd be there with a bucket full of water, buddy.
I wouldn't really call it a missed chance for character development since it's Alibaba we're talking about. If it were another character, okay, maybe I'd view the whole thing differently. But given the former prince's history of being made fun of by Ohtaka herself, I'm perfectly fine with the girlfriend situation being another one of her little jabs at Alibaba. In his case it just worked. It worked so well that Ohtaka managed to squeeze in some information into the joke (i.e. what Garda's been up to; or that Garda is female; or that Alibaba did have some girls who tried to go for him but were chased off by Garda lol).
Another thing I liked about the chapter was Mor and Masrur's conversation about household members and their duties. His lines imply that Sinbad's probably done something really bad, but his household still stayed at their king's side. I like those in between the lines thingies. Makes me want to know even more about Sinbad's past.
