The Bite: […] Wholesome uplifting song.
Whhaaa… O,O Really? Or is this the ironies I've been hearing about? ;P

! PJ Harvey - A Place Called Home
! Pixies - Dig For Fire
I thought the instrumentation for both songs were enjoyable in their own ways, so for me this decision comes down to vocals. I very much liked Harvey's voice, Pixies not so much. So I'm gonna give my pick to PJ.

Both were pretty good. I felt that the second video had a better atmosphere overall though. Might have been because it was (or at least seemed) slower. Kind of difficult to pick out specific things in two ten minute long instrumental tracks though :ninja: .

I prefer the first one. A fast-paced eccentric style with a bit of an epic feel to it; it's definitely my type of music (in fact, I might have to check these guys out). The second one is also nice, but it didn't really resonate with me.
All right, I'm in a lovin' mood, so…

! So is it Barry White or Barry Gibb?
Hm, well I'm not someone that usually appreciate love songs. So kinda hard to choose between two of them. :P
I'll go with White 'cause I prefer his voice… Although it feels so wasted on a boring song such as this one. O,o Hahaha.

The Sharades - Dumb Head
/
The Elastik Band - Spazz
Thread Bump, sorry.
I'm going to go with the first song. It's catchy, and it's got a lighthearted, silly feel to it. The second song was mostly "Talking" over music, or at least, it was to me. It's hard for me to appreciate.
! Shunsuke Kikuchi - Genki Dama
! /
! Phillip Glass - Anthem Part 2
! Sorry, I don't listen to a wide variety of songs.
Not even a question for me, Dragonball of course
!
!
I'm not familiar with the instrument in the first one so it's hard to say how good he is at playing. Second one I dunno, soundtracks are usually not my thing. Well, I'll go with the first one I guess since it's the least commercial of the two and also 'cause it's nice to hear new things.

Disco Tex and His Sex-O-Lettes - I Wanna Dance Wit' Choo (Doo Dat Dance)
Versus
The Pipkins - Gimme Dat Ding
I'm going to go with the first one. It's an okay disco tune. The second one was very catchy, but I found it too repetitive and in the end I didn't want it to be catchy.
! ABBA - Thank You For The Music
! Vs
! Yasunori Mitsuda - Outskirts Of Time/To Far Away Times - Chrono Trigger OST
Ah yeah, the first one's an old favorite of mine. I just love the uplifting spirit of it, though I guess it is a little schmaltzy.
As for the second one, I didn't grow up on Chrono Trigger like a lot of people (though I have played it), so I'm not as familiar with the soundtrack as some. But it's a nice song. Has a real soothing and enchanting feel to it.
But I prefer the first one. It just has more of an impact on me.

Hey, it's those guys! The R.E.M. guys! :v
I've heard the Man on the Moon song before I think, well I watched the movie at least. :P
I'm also selecting it, can't get away from my pre-bias. Must say neither is as good as some of their other songs though. (Yeah I've listened to at least four R.E.M. songs so I guess I'm an expert now.)

Nick Straker Band - Living In My Head
Trans-X - Living On Video

All right, let's get this thread rollin' again.
Both great songs. I love techno 80's synthpop songs. But if I had to pick one, I guess I'd go with the first one. I like the melody better and the electronic stuff on the second song is just a tad overbearing I guess.

Pitting these two bands together already makes this a tough decision. They've got such different takes on the same song, though, so in their own styles that if you told me either band wrote the original I would believe you. In the end, though, I think I like the Beach Boy's more energetic take over the Mama and the Papas' more intimate sound, since it asks the same question more convincingly to me.

I choose the moth one, who I believe to be in immediate danger, about to be eaten by a frog, poor thing.
But the song is also more energetic. Now, I don't mind slow songs… but I found myself having a hard time concentrating 100% on the first song when listening to it. Maybe I'm having a ADHD episode though and the second one won just by being shorter... :v

Elizabeth Cotton - Freight Train
VS
Cordell Jackson - The Split
As a rap music fan I love to listen Juice Wrld. He was a great rapper. I still remember I bought his lucid dreams album hoodie in my college days and listen this song. Unfortunately, He left us too early but made his name in such short time. This is my favourite song of him <3
