during sentomaru's part the anime showed the previously beaten pacifista's, isn't this an error? luffy/zoro/sanji made them explode 2 episodes ago, not to mention zoro cut one of them in half, and here they still appeared to be intact, just a little bloody?
523: ''The Shocking Truth - The Man Who Protected the Sunny''

Now this is One Piece. The whole crew traveling together again. As someone who got back into OP around the Amazon Lily arc, the first time I got to experience the whole crew traveling somewhere right when it was happening was around this time a year ago when the stuff in this episode was happening in the manga. So these next few episodes are gonna be sweet for me as those cool feelings are coming back.
Onward to Fishman Island.

Funny episode, loved the crew interactions and I found it especially funny that Zoro (of all people) was shocked at the amount of blood Sanji lost. The underwater scenes were also handled very well and the final scene with Caribou's ship ramming into the Thousand Sunny looked pretty amazing.
-
If the navy knew the location of the strawhat ship, why'd they send low level marines to attack? for 2 years too? wouldnt the admirals know by then? >.<
Great episode nevertheless!
-
So, what? Are you coming by every week with this? Well, I'm not complaining…
Except that I'd like some credits now and then. I'm not copying my translations from anywhere, and they spread like wildfire.
"Sunny-go is targeted! Caribou's ambush!!"
The paragraph is blurry, but I can make out some of it.
! "Caribou's ship crashes into the Sunny led by the sea creature from Arlong's crew, Mohmoo. Once he sees Nami and the others, he flees with the ship and its crew, leaving Caribou alone on the Sunny. Will he fight like this, even outnumbered…!?"
"This week: Luffy"
"Encounter with the Monster of the Depths, the Kraken!"
The description mentions how the crew meet with the Kraken, but I can't pick out what the rest of the paragraph says; it's too blurry.ooo thank u my friend! so that is who the monster is. these scans say more than the previews

Hm, good episode.
The whole underwater scene(s) were done very well…...not to mention, the episode itself was funny.
-
Was that intro scene after We Go new for this episode?

Also, how did Kuma get so messed up if he fought low level marines? Even if it was for a long time… he's still insanely strong.
Not really complaining, but its just making me think... maybe they did send a top marine but Kuma stopped them.

I don't think it was an error.
Just because they exploded doesn't mean that their bodies were completely destroyed. -

Marine HQ: Yo Akainu, I know you're busy hunting down Blackbeard 'n' all, but…
At the beginning, they probably did send some mid-level marines in case the Strawhats came back. But why would you need an admiral to destroy a boat? They'll think they can easily build a new one, or they might be dead, or they might've abandoned it.
I'm actually surprised Kuma was all worn out, but I guess sitting outside for 2 years without maintenance and constantly being in fights would wear down any machine.

Yeah, I liked it though. Fitting they play it this episode since they are all "officially" reunited.
-
The underwater scenes did not feel underwater to me. Not exciting like the spreads I mean check this out. Had no reaction seeing the sea monsters hmpf. Liked the Shakky,Rayleigh/Roger scenes (I like Roger's voice),the Kuma explanation (unnam and the stone storage room was a good track choice) and crew interaction. Most importantly, Franky eating his lunchbox. Dn't remember noticing this in the ch +w+. Next week will be hilarious.

I know is unrelated to this episode. But anyone knows where i can find who was the voice actor for Albion? it`s not on his article of OP wikia ):
–
At first i thought young Roger had Ace´s voice. I was dissapointed when i found it wasn´t him -
Agreed, I don't think anything can beat the manga. I kinda like the colors and the music in the underwater part.
-
I enjoyed the episode, mostly for the crews interactions, man how I missed it I liked how Luffy and Zoro were trying to compete on who'd catch more fish, too funny. Poor Chopper and Usopp, there reactions to what Luffy and Zoro were trying to do killed me. I liked seeing every one eat together again, that was nice. I thought the animation and music for the episode was nice. I can't wait for next weeks episode, I already know what happens due to reading the manga but I can't wait to see it in the anime, the preview has me excited

imo, this episode have bad animations. it reminds me of the old hxh anime episodes after pakunoda died. But Caribou's VA is doing a great job
-
I also thought that the last episodes were sumhow meh.
Its either the pacing cause each episode handles a chapter (few time ago, an episode contained 1 to 2 chapters) or the minimalistic animation (I thought the stream was broken when Chopper treated Sanji and Brook were talking bout the mermaid princess, but then I found out that it was a stillshot of the whole crew).
And we'll never know now why Zoro made this WTF-face:
-because of Franky's "ability"
-or the amount of blood Sanji needs after a nosebleed.
I liked the scene where Franky was about 2 tell the SHs bout Kuma and Luffy all serious:"Yeah, I know what u wanna tell us…
NEW ROBOT STUFF!!!"
Aside from that I only liked the new narration stuff in the beginning. Fits to FI (with the Log Pose havin the same shape as FI). -
I realized it last week, but this week's recaps made me reminisce it - I can't look at okamas with the same eyes ever again after reading Shingeki no Kyojin. It's the eyes and faces…
-
I thought it was a decent episode, the underwater stuff looks realy pretty. However, there's one scene that did not go the way I thought.
All this time in the manga, there was a panel where, in the background, I thought Zoro was freaking out over Franky's nose button:
http://www.mangafox.com/manga/one_piece/v59/c603/10.html (middle panel)But in the anime, they seperate the scenes out, adding Franky's hair scene later and having Zoro freak out over how Chopper got so much blood to carry with him. (This could be how the scene was meant to go anyway, but I liked the other one more)
I was looking forward to that also, as I enjoyed what seemed like Zoro freaking out over Franky's new hair ability.
Speaking of Franky did anyone find it a little surreal to hear him telling the Kuma story? I know that's how it was in the manga, but it just felt odd to me to have Franky so serious for that long.

Woot. New OP. :D nice pacing and animation. Franky mini-hands FTW~~~ :D
