No Lynch
bah…I hate essay writing:sad:
Anyway, lurkers are very detrimental to town, just look at our past games. They provide an excellent hiding place for Mafia and we need people to talk. How are we supposed to even form an opinion of you if you refuse to speak. Lurkers have the tenancy of being inactive townies, but a silent townie is as bad as a mafia member. Lurking townies don't play towards the win condition and quite frankly irk me to no end.
Right back at you Iceburg, what are your thoughts about the goings on today, what do you think should happen?
3/5 Good Job
Though I'm confused; you're saying we should get rid of silent townies as much as of Mafia members? That's not good for our numbers, is it?
Let me ask you this way: what if we have two lynch candidates; one is a lurker who barely has said anything since the start of the game (and thus hasn't done or said anything to look scummy other than be inactive); the other is a very proactive player who has said some rather dodgy things and could very well be Mafia. Who would you prefer to lynch?
@Harvady:
I sit across from you in Teacher-Fetish-Anonymous. You didn't recognize me from my disguise. I was the guy dressed as 4kids Sanji.
That was you? That explains so much…
Anyway, I was considering to hammer the lynch on Pyrofrost. But after some thinking I decided a No Lynch would be better, since we have these power roles that could help us, even if a little. We'll start lynching when stuff has happened, not after a fluff day like this.
Vote Lynch: No Lynch
I hope Cop and Doc are smart enough to do the right thing tonight. You all know the hierarchy, guys.

That's a different scenario altogether. Considering that I called Gooner out on strange wording, I would say it's pretty clear that I'll go after scummy acts before I'd settle on lurkers. The reason I went after Pyrofrost was because a full day had passed before he came in, which was sufficient time to respond. Mind you, his reason is a stock answer I expected, so until Pyrofrost contributes more, my vote will stay.
I've been burned by that phrase before, it won't happen again.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Besides, there was only one other scummy thing I have seen today...
@Tyrone:
Yeah, I agree with Shuhan.
Honestly, who actually agrees with me…my ideas are usually terrible:ninja:
Mind you, his reason is a stock answer I expected, so until Pyrofrost contributes more, my vote will stay.
Well, I did give the honest reason. I'm not really sure of what to further contribute, because I am unfamiliar with this style of mafia and no glaring hints are jumping out at me to start labeling people mafia.
Unless of course you are trying to use me as a scapegoat in order to keep eyes off yourself. That is also entirely possible.
Vote Lynch: No Lynch
I was going to wait longer to see if anyone had any more ideas, but oh well. I'd rather just get the day over with at this point.
Because I didn't know the game had begun, and I was asleep when I got a message letting me know the game started and I would be lynched for not talking.
So I hurried here ASAP to speak and apologized for being late.
You had to confirm. That means you were conscious of your role and were able to post saying so. You also conveniently posted immediately after I put you a L-1. This is not even close to satisfactory.
@Tyrone:

I'd still rather not No Lynch, but it looks like there's no choice. :/
'No choice' nothing. You're running away from responsibility because the lynch is no longer free. If you want a lynch then you need to fight for it. You bandwagon'd because you said you didn't want the day to end in a NL. Now you backtrack? If you hadn't gotten off we'd still be a L-1!
If you meant ANYTHING you said today, you will get back on Pyrofrost. RIGHT NOW.
In any case, I'm satisfied with his answer.
No Lynch
How can you be satisfied with that? He doesn't even give the slightest hint that he's read anything that's gone on today. He was one vote away from being killed! The only town thing to do would be to claim. Pyrofrost played off of the disclaimers to his wagon:@Galaxy:
I'll only agree on lynching a silent player, but if everybody talks, then No lynch. No reason to lose players on the first day with zero basis.
Reading that, Pyrofrost knows that any comment will scare off the band wagoners like it did with Tyrone.
@Mrs.:

Fluff day? We almost lynched someone at the halfway mark of the phase! That same person is still at three votes. How does No Lynch help the power roles?
If we NL today, we can expect a kill in the night. That means a mislynch on Day Two will FORCE us to NL again. That's two days where we get 0% chance to kill mafia.
A lot has happened today. I'm not trying to do the mafia any favors by pointing it out, but if it will convince you not to let Pyrofrost go, then I can tell you all the reads I have.

I'm quite interested in your findings as well Harv.
Hrmm, how much time do we have left, I want to put down my notes as well but I'm on break at work right now and am short on time. I should be back in 3 1/2 hours.

No Lynch [3]: Galaxy 9000, Mrs. Iceburg, Tyrone Pines
Not Voting [3]: Holygamer999, Stereo Mike, Pyrofrost
Shuhan has been one of the more forward voters, he has some bias of his own, but it won't be relevant until I hear more from Mrs. Iceburg.
Gooner is a bandwagoner who hasn't said much of anything. He's being really laying low and that is not a good thing. I appreciate his vote.
Galaxy 9000 is an anti-townie. He communicates to town of the lack of information it has and implies that there is no recourse to it. His only active move was to vote No Lynch.
Mrs. Iceburg's actions are similar to Galaxy 9000, but she doesn't have the same level of activity he does. She's posted twice and wrote off the day as fluffy. She talks like she would have helped the lynch wagon, but votes in the opposite direction.
Tyrone Pines and his backtracking is completely unacceptable. I was going to chalk up his inaction to typical Day One bias, but if the Pyrofrost wagon fails, I will move all of my attention on Tyrone. Like Mrs. Iceburg, he speaks about wanting a lynch, then does everything possible to destroy town's only chance at a lynch.
Holygamer999 has also been 'actively' inactive. Very few posts at all, and no suspects or theories of his own. His acceptance of Pyrofrost's inactivity is bad for town.
Stereo Mike has contributed just as much as Pyro, Holy, and Iceburg. Which is to say next to nothing.
Way too many people have written off Day One. Worse, they have written it off despite people trying to make something of it. A couple of people have already soft claimed, and we are about to head into a night where, more than likely, somebody won't be coming out of.

Look Harvady, I get that you really wanted a lynch, and that you feel it would be beneficial. I just don't see the point in it unless there is a good reason too, and now that pyrofrost is back I haven't seen anything that would make me suspicious. I try to be active when I can, but it is the first day and there isn't that much to go on.

Vote Lynch: No Lynch
Well then to start off, how do you feel about each player by their posts? We can work with that.
I would guess everyone is playing it safe due to there being day one. There is nothing to go on at this point. There would be common agreement on this due to the fact that 6/9 voters are no lynching.
If you really think about it, the only one who has been extremely active is Harvady. What was the point of his questions at the opening? Was I really expected to answer the one directed at me?
Also, you can call it coincidence that I happened to post right after Harvady's L-1 statement. The only thing it proves is lucky or convenient timing.
To be honest, The ones I am most suspicious of personally, are the people pushing so hard for my lynch even after I came back. Simply because they have nothing else to go on and nobody else to point the finger at.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
BesidesHarvady is just as likely to be mafia himself, is he not?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Also, I apologize for not properly typing this out before,
Vote Lynch: No Lynch
Sorry, Harvady, I still would rather lynch someone than not, but I still don't see much of a reason to vote Pyrofrost. And besides, if I did so now, I would just be accused of more "backtracking" and be labelled as scummy. I'll admit that perhaps I acted too quickly. If you gave me a better reason for lynching Pyro than coming late, than I might still reconsider, but your determination to get rid of him/her is what's suspicious to me, if anything.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Well, looks like it's too late to stop the no lynch now.
Well, hard to look like your not bandwagoning when your on later than everyone else…but my opinion is my opinion and I held off as long as reasonable.
In reality, Pyro not being on for start of proceedings hardly makes him a mafia, esp given first game and all, albeit when your grasping at straws, it is all we have got.
Risking lynching a town just cos there isn't alot to go on isn't clever play where I come from, if this was next phase fine.I get why No lynching is a cop out but when you pick a target with what we have got atm, your taking pot luck or your a hell of a lot better at this than me.
Mind you, that's why I prefer starting on night phase....
Vote : No Lynch Out of interest do I need to formally confirm my role or does my presence here do that anyway, I was away for work til I got on yesterday?
Hey Pyrofrost, are you a new player btw (haven't seen u around before). Just curious.
He has played one or two with me on another site MUCH different format though…
More spam abilities at eachother and lynch known mafia than win through scum hunting. Fun is in the night not as much in the day, mind you lynch is always important.
Okay, so before Booger decides to close up shop for the day, here is my notes. But a certain someone has used a great way to keep track of everything so…NOTES FROM POSTS!!!
#1)Shuhan: Fluffy fluffy fluffy, but had a point.
#2)Harvady Alumnus: the resident swinger asks everyone questions to actually kick off the game.
#3)Galaxy9000: Fluffy outershell, then answers Harvady's question, saying he has no concerns at all about the set-up.
#4)Gooner: Answers Harvady's question by redirecting and asking if Harvady want's to lead the town and whether or not he wants a lynch to go down.
#5)Shuhan: tells Harvady he's not going wild till it warrants it. Then askes Harvady if he's afraid of being lynched/killed.
#6)Wooden: Fluffy answer to a fluffy question. (someone throw a rock at him.)
#7)Harvy birdman: Berates Team Galactic about not trying to make something happen. Tells Gooner that he is He-Man, King of Eternia. Also brings up the importance for the town to focus. Tells Shuhan he is the Prima Donna to poison.
#8)Shuhan: Not impressed by Harv's peacocking hardcore, but agrees with the lynching of lurkers. Askes the Doc and Cop to target him.
#9)Dipper #2: goes for Harvady's idea of lynching lurkers, says he doesn't want this day to be wasted.
#10)Harpy: Tells Shushu that no lynching behooves more no lynching. he then says it is not unreasonable for everyone to have at least three posts per day phase. says he wants a bandwagon, but he isn't grabbing his guitar yet.
oi...this is tiring...I'll do this in increments...

Interesting…I would've bet my house that the mafia would've targeted Harvady for being so proactive. For me that leaves 2 options...well 3. One, a doctor saved him, but then again they killed someone else so thats irrelevant. Two, the mafia probably suspected a doc would save him so they went for someone not as prominent. Three, he is mafia.
I'll claim now, I am a regular Townsperson.
There are a couple of people I suspect at the moment. We have roughly 72 hours though, so no need to rush the vote. I will be keeping my suspicions to myself for now. I want to see if any of them hangs themselves, or gives me reasons to doubt my suspicion.
So please, feel free to talk it up folks and have fun~

Nice try. I'm willing to bet you have no suspects…scum.
Gooner, why did you think it was so important to "claim"? What is you telling us that you're a regular Townsperson going to bring us?
Also, Harvy not dying is duh.
And Pyrofrost, you nearly died yesterday, is there really nothing else you have to say for yourself, or to ask the town?
Nice try. I'm willing to bet you have no suspects…scum.
Whoa whoa Gooner. What's up with the harshness?
Nice try. I'm willing to bet you have no suspects…scum.
You can bet that and call scum if you like. No point in calling out suspects this early in such a long day phase. Besides, if I say who I suspect, that will just make them watch their words that much more carefully.
The point with such a long day phase is not to quickly put people on the burner, but to take the time to consider the decision. If it was only 24 hours, I would rush out of the gate with it; but with 72 hours, that would be pointless and rather foolish.
You know Gooner, I really am tempted to call you Goon, cause your stinking like one right now.
Pyrofrost, you are also an interesting character, you almost die yesterday, and yet today you still refuse to be any help at all. This does not bode well for you at all.
Iceberg, nice to see you again, why not answer my question from yesterday if you please~
Harvy, y u still breathing…pretty scummy...
@Mrs.:
And Pyrofrost, you nearly died yesterday, is there really nothing else you have to say for yourself, or to ask the town?
I really did nothing different than Gooner except leave my suspects unnamed for the time being. I don't see the harm in that. I would be more suspicious of someone rushing with 72 hours and claiming to be town.
Then you are little more than useless to us atm.
if your going to be so tight lipped then ask people questions and at least pretend to give a damn.
Iceberg, nice to see you again, why not answer my question from yesterday if you please~
Are you referring to the question "what should we do today"?

Are you that worried about Pyrofrost? You didn't want him to get lynched yesterday, and today you're protecting him from bullies.
Hold up…I thought I did name a suspect and his name is Harvady. Read my earlier post again people.
Yes please my dear, a question asked yesterday can still apply to today~
Yes please my dear, a question asked yesterday can still apply to today~
Oh. In that case: today, we should hunt for scum.
And by that, I mean leave no-one unquestioned.
Speaking of which, Shuhan, you said it was scummy of Harvady not to die. Explain?
And Gooner, I thought you were summing up possibilities, but now you're straight out suspecting Harvady as well?
@Mrs.:
Speaking of which, Shuhan, you said it was scummy of Harvady not to die. Explain?
You know as well as I do there are some players that their mere constant presence is scummy. (ie. Nectar, Bogart, Harvady)
It means nothing, I was just poking fun, but it's also a way to open dialogue with him.
@Mrs.:
Are you that worried about Pyrofrost? You didn't want him to get lynched yesterday, and today you're protecting him from bullies.
No, not really. I just wasn't expecting an outburst like that from Gooner.

No, not really. I just wasn't expecting an outburst like that from Gooner.
Does it bother you that he became so hot-headed all of a sudden?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
And Gooner, if I read that correctly, your current two nominations for Mafia members are Pyrofrost and Harvady?
No, not really. I just wasn't expecting an outburst like that from Gooner.
I meant scum as in mafia, not that he himself is infact a scummy person. Nothing personal.

Don't worry about being mean, honey. Nobody will judge you for that.
I just can't believe he wasn't targeted.
Well I can. He was such an obvious choice that the Mafia thought the Doc would be on him, which probably was the case, and so they went for someone else instead. That's how it always goes. If you're going to suspect Harvady, you're going to need a better argument.
@Mrs.:
What, you want him to explain why he's alive?
Of course not, that would be silly, hence the meme speak…

Look I'm sleepy…Since you want to start barking orders and openly being an ass, I will just leave the questioning to you. If you wanna question me too, then go right ahead. I'll answer you after I've had some sleep and some coffee.
Know in the future that coming at me that way won't get you results. I would honestly rather be up for lynch again.
Hmm, seems I missed a lot. >_>
To me, it still seems we don't have any useful info. :/ I guess the best thing to do is to get everyone talking.
I'd like to know why Gooner is so eager to get rid of Pyrofrost… He jumped on the lynch wagon very quickly yesterday, and then today Pyrofrost was the first one he went after.
Damn, you're a rude one, aren't 'cha.

Firstly I do apologize for my rude words…I tend to go wild sometimes...like Harvady has said before. I don't want to be the one to turn you off from the game here...
That being said, it makes me angry when someone says they have something to contribute but then goes nah I'm keeping it to myself. We have virtually noting to go on and basically are spinning our wheels. Any info that is worth sharing is important.
^ fair point unless the doc also thought that and hence went after someone else.
In a way, being so vocal probably meant he was unlikely to be attacked and maybe even unlikely to need the doc, cos of assumptions and assumptions.
Anyway….having played with Pyro before I'm not inclined to buy there is anything is what he saying/ acting just new to this format, same as I am, but even more so, since I've played on NF before, which is sort of similar
Vote Lynch: Tyrone Pines
I am not asking people to jump on a wagon at this time, but after yesterday's fiasco, I definitely want to be the first to vote today. His reasoning is riddled with the fear of death, and the only people who lose by dying are the mafia.
Good morning all. I hope you can continue to keep up this pace, it's good. But I'd expect nothing less from the army of townies who put all their hopes on Day Two. For those of you who have been counting, I am the last to post today, and I do not have a guilty report for you. We are where we were yesterday.
Pyrofrost lives another day. Despite this, I look forward to his contributions.
My last post of D1 addressed all players (who are not me) in preparation of Pyro's lynch and my death. I am not dead, Huzzah! That said, I need all players to remark on my statements: Agree? Disagree?
@Yesterday's:
Shuhan has been one of the more forward voters, he has some bias of his own, but it won't be relevant until I hear more from Mrs. Iceburg. Shuhan remains forward, however no major revelations nor suspects.
Gooner is a bandwagoner who hasn't said much of anything. He's being really laying low and that is not a good thing. I appreciate his vote. Gooner continues to play pseudo-aggressive. He reaches for attention, then fades away.
Galaxy 9000 is an anti-townie. He communicates to town of the lack of information it has and implies that there is no recourse to it. His only active move was to vote No Lynch. Galaxy 9000 is dead. I for one, do not see any reasoning behind his killing beyond the typical 'lack of protection/attention'. Town benefits from the removal of his desire to not-lynch. Sadly he did not leave us with any suspects of his own.
Mrs. Iceburg's actions are similar to Galaxy 9000, but she doesn't have the same level of activity he does. She's posted twice and wrote off the day as fluffy. She talks like she would have helped the lynch wagon, but votes in the opposite direction. Mrs. Iceburg has changed since yesterday. This change is easily reflected from her stance on 'Day Ones'****.
Voted.
Holygamer999 has also been 'actively' inactive. Very few posts at all, and no suspects or theories of his own. His acceptance of Pyrofrost's inactivity is bad for town. Holygamer999 has emerged as a reactionary poster. No investigations of his own.
Stereo Mike has contributed just as much as Pyro, Holy, and Iceburg. Which is to say next to nothing. Stereo Mike has yet to take a stance, not unlike his play yesterday. Not enough activity to make a proper read.
@Harvady:
Shuhan has been one of the more forward voters, he has some bias of his own, but it won't be relevant until I hear more from Mrs. Iceburg. Shuhan remains forward, however no major revelations nor suspects.
aww you're sweet~
I never understood though, what did Iceberg have to do with me? Is this still connected to how I voted Pyro instead of her?
Gooner is a bandwagoner who hasn't said much of anything. He's being really laying low and that is not a good thing. I appreciate his vote. Gooner continues to play pseudo-aggressive. He reaches for attention, then fades away.
His 'claim' non withstanding, I have suspicions of him, but not as strong as a couple others. Keeping an eye on him
Galaxy 9000 is an anti-townie.
I completely agree with this reasoning.
This change is easily reflected from her stance on 'Day Ones'.
If I were to just take yesterday into account, I would peg Iceberg as mafia, but she has engaged in conversation and so far so good…for now.
Voted.
I agree with this one as well.
Holygamer999 has also been 'actively' inactive. Very few posts at all, and no suspects or theories of his own. His acceptance of Pyrofrost's inactivity is bad for town. Holygamer999 has emerged as a reactionary poster. No investigations of his own.
agree…
Stereo Mike has contributed just as much as Pyro, Holy, and Iceburg. Which is to say next to nothing. Stereo Mike has yet to take a stance, not unlike his play yesterday. Not enough activity to make a proper read.
aaaaaand, agree…
Overall though, I want to hear more from Pyro before I make a decision.
