Alright then. Anyway, yeah. The series really isn't too girly as much as it is just a funny cartoon…..except the intro song. I always skip the intro song after the first time.
I also laugh a little every time they say "What the hay is going on!?" :) Reminds me of TMNT's "What the shell!?"

Okay, so I'm in the middle of catching up with the episodes, and the last one I saw was the one with the Para-sprite swarm, and Pinkie Pie's randomness was really hilarious there. But what really strikes me was the previous episode, the one where the Ponies suffered with various afflictions leading Spike to give silly nicknames for them. When he looks at the shrunken Applejack, he calls her 'Appleteeny'. Consider that in an anime about frickin' pirates, they have to replace the word Whiskey (even though that was just the name of a place), and yet here we have a subtle mention of an alcoholic drink in My Little Pony?
Confound these ponies, they drive me to drink.
I don't know why people emphasize femininity when watching My Little Pony so much. It's not like it hits the viewer over the head with the fact that it's oriented at young females, which is more evident in the toy line than anything in the show itself.
There's no reason to single it out so heavily as "girly" when compared to any other cartoon you enjoy.
To me it seems only slightly more girly than the Power Puff Girls

So I watched the first two episodes.
Cute.
Very very pastel. Not quite as cracktastic as I'd hoped. Not exactly my thing. But cute.
They seem more so in 3 frame gif increments.

Also, I loved Tangled. It did a good job at getting the disney pattern into the 3d form without just trying to be like the old films in the 90's like 'The Princess and the Frog'.
