200y for 1 try, 500y for 3, that really is the strategy people who know how to play use, grabbing the string/hole at the top is good in very rare circumstances, it's always much easier to do as this guy is doing.
It's funny, when I went last year everyone was lining it up to grip the sides, no-one knew about toppling :D I made a lot of friends from showing them how!

Well yes but here Cyber they're actually claw machines. Claw machines that use their claws to pick up items and then give them to you.
These Japanese ones are basically pushing stuff with a claw until it falls over, it might as well be a stick you control.
Would still be awesome to have decent things and that sort of thing here too XD

It depends on the version you want to collect. Japan Imports with Japan Toei sticker are usually harder to find + more expensive. The other other imports (HK, EU, etc) are easier to get.
It should be the same figure but from a hardcore collector's point, there is more demand for Japan Import.

Unfortunately no. AnimeKing is legit in all their products though…bought 2 POPs from them a long time ago and some Grandline Men that I split with maggie. We have to resort to mail order/internet orders if we want the good stuff unfortunately.
oh yeah.. i buy my gundams from them :) and now i decided to collect POP too. i'll be back there next week and get my luffy and ace :D too bad they dont update their ebay store. in their ebay store they have a lot of POPs but when u get there, some of them are already sold out. too bad. can you hit me up if your getting new POPs bro?

The only differences between regional releases is the pricing and stickers. Japanese release has the gold/silver Toei stickers with varying colored ink depending on the price, Asian release has the silver Toei sticker, American release has the FUNimation AND AAAAnime stickers, and European release has the Abysse Corp sticker.

LOL nah i'm not a MISB person. I have a big POP collection so I like to keep one with the POPs since he goes with Luffy so well. I wanted an extra to keep with my ace stuff. Elisa and I both tend to buy doubles (I think?) when we want to display as a set and ace-only. I get extra ace WCFs (2xWCF14, 2xvol0, 2xWCF1) so I can display them with WCFs and on my ace shelf. Same thing with brotherhood, I have to get two sets >_<. Luffy is seeping into ace merch a lot lately, where you can't really display them separately (treasure box ace, GLC, brotherhood, log boxes). Messes up the zen of my ace corner. Not that I don't love luffy, but it's so strange to see orange hat/flames, orange hat/flames, straw hat/yellow vest, orange hat/flames.
Seeing Maggie's Super DX Ace makes me regret not getting him a while back when he was pretty cheap, now I can't find him anywhere for a decent price. ;^;

$60 isn't bad for SDX ace, not at all. He originally sold for arounp $40-$65 depending on the shop. My guess is that in a year's time he will be double that.
For prize figures, you really should try to get them when they're released. It's probably the cheapest you will find them for (though I can't speak for when OP isn't running in SJ anymore and OP isn't on air anymore).

It's on a wall now but the glare from the flash on the acrylic makes it impossible to see the image.
It's a great puzzle. The black parts were quite a challenge. Take care though if you are looking to buy it. It was EMS shipping for me from Hobby Search.
