Dude, that was beyond epic. I've been reading a lot of nitpicking from fans and reviewers out there but I honestly thought it was a really solid issue. I think it helps if you've been following Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps though.

well from the Red Circle issues, only the hangman impressed me the rest looked regular, but when the series came, both were excellent, the Shield its like a military book but not like captain america and the web is by far one of the most original super heroes comics so far

I don't understand the Brian Michael Bendis hate. I have liked most of what I've read from him and think he's really good.

What's wrong with Bendis? Well, I'll give you these gems first:

Every character is interchangeable and has annoying banter (where it might work with spiderman it most DEFINITELY DOES NOT work with the other characters). This is known as Bendis-speak. Go to Gamefaqs and ask them what Bendis-speak and they will pretty much do exactly what Bendis has written.
Example:
Person 1: Why is Bendis-speak annoying?
Person 2: Annoying?
Person 3: Bendis-Speak is Annoying?
Person 1: Yeah, it's completely overused.
Person 2: What do you mean it's completely overused?
Person 3: If you want it to be overused we could go on for a few more pages of the Avengers wasting time doing nothing instead of showing them actually making a difference like they tried to do in Slott's book…that was cancelled.
Person 1: Cancelled? Why did it get cancelled?
Person 2: I doubt it got cancelled.
Person 3: No, it definitely got cancelled.
AND ON AND ON AND ON until the issue ends and nothing happens. If something does happen, however, it is completely OUT OF CHARACTER and Bendis ignores everything else other writers write.
2 examples:
1: The Hood. Bendis completely ignored BOTH of the Hood minis (you know…the ones that actually tell you about the character) and made the hood into some psycho who couldn't live without Dormmamu (when he actually was trying to get rid of the demon in his mini. He also was trying to get out of the crime business because he was in it to help his family but Bendis doesn't care about that).
2: Dr. Strange. Every single time Strange has been written by Bendis he has been written wrong. Bendis doesn't understand the character in the slightest and doesn't know how his powers work.
Another reason this news in terrible is because BENDIS AND IMMONEN ARE THE CREATIVE TEAM ON NEW AVENGERS RIGHT NOW! Why would they cancel a book and relaunch it with the same name, same creative team, and probably a similar team build 2 months after your fake cancellation?
Bendis professes his love for Luke Cage, Spider-Woman, Spider-man, and Alias...notice something here? These characters are all characters that fit on the New Avengers team. Why, then, does he get to write the main Avengers book too? He can't write any of those characters at all when compared to Cage or Alias (seriously his Thor blows and he barely gives Bucky lines in New Avengers).
The problem here is that he is shaping the Marvel universe AGAIN for another undisclosed period of time. He's already been doing that for SIX YEARS. We got such great things with him such as House of M (being retconned right now) Secret Invasion (proving himself the kind of decompression and wasting lots of peoples money) and Dark Reign (which has lasted for WAY TOO LONG).
This is not even comparable to Geoff Johns at all. Blackest Night is a GREEN LANTERN EVENT that Dc wanted to make a company wide crossover. It is a GL event, though, so it isn't even comparable to Secret invasion (which screwed over EVERY book for a while) or Dark Reign (EVERY hero is in hiding). Geoff Johns is writing The Flash and Green Lantern. People might complain about Geoff Johns....if he writes EVERY character OOC, ignores all continuity, and decides to make the green lantern corps sit around and banter all day without doing anything.
Now, I've never read an "Ultimate" comic in my life but a lot of people who have the same issues with Bendis as I do think that his work on Ultimate Spiderman is very good. Perhaps, then, he should be shaping the Ultimate Universe instead of Jeph Loeb. Maybe someone else can get a chance to actually have a say in how 616 goes (and make it NOT a year long event every year let writers write stories for once! Wonder why JMS is with DC right now? That's why.)

Most writers respect how a character is supposed to speak. Bendis does not and even the other writers at Marvel complain about him. He's supposedly really good friends with Quesada, though….

Nope, it takes place before New Avengers. The mini even finished before New Avengers had him in it (I'm talking about the Sorceror Supreme bullshit).
The first mini I have paged through and it did look very neat…but I didn't read it. I read the second one because Jeff Parker wrote it.
Bendis doesn't write characters, he writes plots and dialogue (even if they aren't good).
The only Marvel series that I am 100% on board for are Atlas and Captain America. Incredible Hercules got canned and so did Ms. Marvel (so I won't be reading those since they are gone), Mighty ended and it doesn't look like Slott will even get an Avengers book, and I really don't have any interest in anything else (unless I knew the direction the book was going and I trusted the writers....which I don't. Secret Avengers could be good but I suspect it will just be following the direction Bendis wants it to so Brubaker will probably not have much say in where it goes. That or it's the new Secret Warriors incarnation).

From what I read on gamefaqs. Some people their stuff have been shipped out. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering Serect Wars onimbus for $8.24. My order for Marvel Civil War (Hardcover) is in the shipping soon stage, since its in stock.

Another update on the situation. It seem people are getting the cancellation (if they order 10 or 20 books) and some people who are mutiple copies of one book are getting it to eliminted down to 1 copy of ceritan books. I prefer hardback books because they'll last longer after I keep reading them. Also, makes it easier to loan out to friends who might want to read it.

My amazon order from the Glitch sale, had arrived and damn the Marvel Civil War hardcover is huge! I mean came with all 7 issues of the Civil War arc, Marvel Spotlight: Civil War, and The Civil War Script book. Not bad for $14.99 for a $40.00 book.
