Heh, remember the time (before we knew who CP9 was…) Blueno APPEARED to be the leader in the bear costume, and he talked a bit more. Now he is silent which is an odd contrast. (Think Blueno is just silent and silly looking, can't really judge if he is "not very smart" though...he could be hasty.)
Chapter 356 "Tom-san" Discussion

ah, i forgot. your right, he appeared to be the leader. but now lucci is deffinitly the leader! maybe he just gave the signal to start the attack, because robin and blueno were the only ones attacking from the outside of the building. lucci was already inside. there is no proof, that is is'nt an idot either.
Personally i still hope he is an idiot. (the first time gadetsu apeared, he did't look too stupid too) -

LIKEWISE, if you say, "Franky has a flashback, and that is justifiable," i would say wrong as well, for currently Franky has the same percentage (or slightly higher) joining rate of Waipa (he had a flashback and a "slight" dream)
I think there are a few differences between Franky's and Waipa's flashbacks which I pointed out elsewhere (Flashbacks …) but I am too lazy to write it again.
-
Actually, you must see this flashback as the Straw Hat crew's new boat background story, not as a flashback about Franky, Iceburg, Tom or even Water Seven. This flashback is about "Battle Franky", the new "nakama" of Luffy and co. Then, we'll have Robin's flashback… then Paulie's in a later arc. :D
-
As far as "funny fights" are concerned, I think Sanji and Pauly vs. Calipha would be HI-LARIOUS :D Think of the possibilities. Sanji's a lech with awesome lower body strength, Pauly's a prude with crazy rope skills, and Calipha's the dead sexy whip crackin' kung fu secretary…with hot glasses
I think Chopper vs. Blueno would be pretty funny too. With Blueno's unorthodox devil fruit power and Chopper's unorthodox everything. :P
Serious fights would probably involve Luffy, Zoro, or Franky. Usopp and Nami might team up as well. Its always cool when those two put their heads together on something. Or maybe a Franky and Usopp double team, beware the gadgets of doom.
-

Well, thus far it has been all about Franky. Where Franky came from (although we still don't know about he's true parents), how he's ideas were molded, about his sin and his relationship with other side characters and Water 7, it will shed light on how he became a cyborg and so on. It's even Franky who's dreaming it.
-
It seems as if its a lot more about Tom than it is about Franky. Its just now beginning to lean more towards centering on Franky rather than Tom. The first part was mainly about Tom going to trial and then it was mainly about the construction of the seatrain. Then came Spandam questioning Tom about Pluton, and now finally Spandam has framed Tom while at the same time giving Franky a hard life's lesson. Now during all this we've learned a lot about Franky and Tom's Workers, however all of the major events thus far have been focused around Tom.
You may also recall that Franky's flashback only began after Tom's merits and deeds were brought into question. Its what triggered Franky's "dreaming" this in the first place, reflecting on his own past with Tom and how it affected Water 7. So although this may be narrarated from Franky's point of view, the main focus here is the lesson to be learned, and the character put forward most in all this is clearly Tom. He's been the catalyst for every event thats happened, although I'd say the Battle Franky's really stole the show in the last couple of chapters.
-
If Franky as a boy wanted to build all those cool ships and weapons, but was traumatized by the lesson of one's own inventions being used to do evil, maybe that's why now he has all the weapons built into his body, so that no one would ever be able to use them against Franky's will.
I fear he may not want to build a warship ever again, although perhaps a vessal of some sort, esp. if it was in tribute to Tom.
I think the Straw Hats' cash he spent must have been some super upgrade which he will unleash on those CP9ers, eh?
-
Guys…has any flashback been all about one person? Think about the amount of time spent on Hiruruk in Chopper's.
Oh, we've also reached that time of week where my stomach unmercifully begins self-digesting. That means I either need to take my antacid pills or every moment waiting for the new OP is slowly killing me.
-
i'm more worried with that fact that u don't build a good ship in two days… so that would imply that the StrawHats are going to be able to stay in W7 that long without something major happening.... my tought is:
Franky has a ship hidden somewhere else and after this whole CP9 thing ends Franky will give the StrawHats the ship and everybody will take the Puffing Tom to help then and then the Puffing Tom will explode and everybody will die and the manga will end -_- -
Yeah, I gotta see what Tom's going to do. More than that, I REALLY have to know the status of the Strawhats and the resolution of the assault on the Warehouse under the bridge. Will Mozu and Kiwi ever be the same? Will Franky fizz out for good? Will Captain Usopp have to choke a bitch? I MUST KNOW!
I also wanna see that Frog save Luffy, and what that angry mob has been doing with Nami all this time, and if Tyrannosaurus likes his shipwrights medium rare or well done.
-
Next chapter summary(title "death")
Franky (literally) steps out of the flashback, comes to the future in his younger form, warns the straw-hats of Spandam's android invasion that will occur in 3 years, and then he kills Lucci. Older Franky goes back to the past in the ship that he built, and younger Franky joins Luffy's crew with the dream of finding out how the flashback ended.
What do you think about that??
-
hello fanfiction
-
That'd be ….. trippy. Needs more Buggy and Super Sanji-jin though.
Rather than some sort of time warp alternate reality crossover.. Bon Clay and Adam West should crash through the warehouse window on a flaming pink harley, slaughter CP9, then rescue Usopp from Kiwi, who was actually an ancient weapon/killer android sent by the world government of the future to assassinate the next Pirate King. ..joking, of course, though I do miss Bon Clay sama. :P
Seriously though, I think it was said earlier that sorta thing should be posted wherever fanfiction belongs. ^^;
Its pretty clear you were joking though, so in that case I dunno. Back on topic, I wonder if Franky has a self destruct mechanism...like if you were to shake him up really well, would he just explode in a super-carbonated mushroom cloud of coca-cola?
-

Maybe that'll cause his hair to explode, as his hair is directly proportional to his cola-power.
-
What about that humongous ship Iceburg showed off at the beginning of the arc? Doesn't anyone think that may be forshadowing that they will get that ship?
-
I believe they said that ship was for a customer. But, I still believe Franky will design the ship, and galley-ra make it.
-
I see you're viewing the thread ocean, bring us news from afar! What say the bt's of the world. What whispers of hope and triumph exist in the shadows?
In other words, any shit on the new chap yet?
-
I think this arc's going to take at lease 20 chapters more.

Yeah, the arc could probably still easily take over 20 chapters and I'm not complaining at all. It has been a good arc._
-
Only me that thinks that Young Franky and Old Franky is like 2 different persons?
I.. want… new.. chapter... NOW
-
I really doubt that there are two different guys known as Franky.

That's exactly right. I'm not challenging that at all. Which is why it's not a big deal that this isn't the first where we get to see more than one person's story.

lol, no, I didnt mean that… GAH I hate my english.. <_< I mean that young Franky and Old Franki is so different, they're almost like different persons, Franky has changed so much since became a cyborg, He is larger, fat arms, he has pms, and he has different face..
-
They're different but not that different. He has always been hotheaded and flashy, in the past and in the present, and the most of the changes has been external. Perhaps it's just you becoming Franky-fied ^_^, try rereading old chapters you may find loving him. Today's Franky's definitely more cooler though.
-
Will Captain Usopp have to choke a bitch?
califa i hope
if franky has a dream it probably will be to build a ship that can go to calm belt and kill a monster -

I don't see anything so far. I guess people are slow since there is no Death Note this week (or 6 more weeks). And in the past, usually those Death Note fans gave us mercy (aka short neta-bare), so… :(
Hmmm. Does anybody think Spandam somewhat gain his authority after he failed 8 years ago, and come back as a chief of CP9? Or even if he doesn't make it to CP9, will he somewhat come back to the current time?
-
i dont like death note the kid is a crazy guy who tries to kill people with his notebook
i think spandam is still with cp5, when the government realized how dangerous and powerfull the pluton was they assigned it to a higher power (i.e. cp9

no Death Note this week (or 6 more weeks).
Break?
-
It's getting so off topic… But DN is starting second arc from 6 weeks later (or 7).
Can CP members go around the different numbers? CP5 people would move to... CP1 or something. I wonder if Oda will introduce us to all CPs.

I definatly believe that unless we see Spandam get horrifically killed (as he deserves) by the end of this flashback, he will undoubtably show up in the present time. I also think he is the one who taught Lucchi to hone his Zoan fruit powers (yes, I think he uses the Panda fruit)
-
My goodness…if Oda introduces all the CPs...here goes another "GROUP" of characters we all have to see, such as Shichibukia, and the Admirals etc...(Definitely making this pretty long 0-0!!)
-

UP UNTIL NOW HAS ONLY BEEN ONE ARC!???? Holy crap!
oh yeah, One Piece. yay. Tom with the spear and the handcuffs and the hitting.
-
hahahahaha
i doubt that the other cps will be introduced
after all the strongest is probably cp9
look at cp5 spandam he seems very weak
cp9 also has a liscence to kill -
I think Spandam will be back, or else he'll die in the flashback. I don't see him as the CP9 leader though. I think Lucchi is the leader, and possibly had Kaku do the talking for him, back when they were in the shadows.
-
wait i just thought of something
what if the shadow guy was not the boss of cp9 maybe he wasjust some guy who cp9 reports to maybe a gorsei -
I am kinda worried that a Shichibuki or an Admiral might be a leader. I mean we saw Blue Phesant's Hie Hie power, and it was scary. Just imagine if that is who the leader is, because when he met RObin on the island he knew to much about her. I think that he has alot of secrets and is a perfect canidate for leader of the CP9. I don't think it would be Shichibuki, because would you give the most elite spying unite to a former pirate.

**But how would they know the power of Pluton?
-
they heard about it?
and lifegrd, to question your question or remark or whatever aokiji cant b the leader he was about to kill robin so why would he kill his own spymember? -
Maybe people just traditionally fear the weapons since ancient times, like some type of unbelievable legend that can't possibly exist and yet people still search for its power. Sort of like the Philosopher's Stone, the Ark of the Covenant or the Holy Grail. No one has ever witnessed the power of such artifacts and yet they remain mythical in nature for hundreds of years. Some even believe that the government knows more about such legendary power than we'll ever know. I just apply that logic to the ancient weapons. The government seeks them out because they're legendary, and knows a little more about them than the average person does.

Of course they heard about it, you're not going to hear about the Pluton without hearing how powerful it is.
Maybe he didn't know he was his spymember yet, remember, Blueno hadn't said Cp9 to her yet.

what are u talking about? said cp9 to who? who didnt know who was his spymember yet?
plugin names! plz!!!

The way Aokiji spoke to Robin made it seem like he was well versed in her background before joining the Strawhats or even Baroque Works. So I guess that would mean he knew of her former position in Cipher Pol, as well as the danger she posed as far as awakening the ancient weapons. Same with Iceburg, I guess, they know what she's being used for so they probably have a good idea about who's doing the using. Aokiji seems like the type of marine that follows his own code of justice. If that were the case, whether or not she was a government agent probably wouldn't matter, especially out in the middle of nowhere, where the only witnesses are a band of middle rank pirates. ;)
-
You know, I've been thinking. I think it' spossible that, when Spandam fails to get the blueprints, it'll be the result of some specific act Spandam was unable to control. Otherwise, why would he get promoted to CP9 (assuming he's teh boss)
-
Blueno said cp9 to Robin. Remember? That's when she went with them against the Strawhats.
-
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I said that Aokiji seemed to know her past, including her affiliation with Cipher Pol and the World Government, when he tried to assassinate her at Long Island. I don't know what Blueno has to do with that at all.
As far as her reaction to Blueno when he said "CP9" that was probably because she understood exactly what that meant beforehand. Meaning she'd worked with CP9 in the past. Otherwise, why would it hold such great meaning to her? Are you saying that she wasn't a Cipher Pol agent before visiting Water 7?
-
Sorry Golden Dragoon, I was answering lucciano_minhawk's post. But in response to what you said, maybe he thought that Robin would mess up Cp9, but something later changed his mind. Maybe when Blueno told him Robin's expression after he said Cp9, (if he did) he changed his mind.
-
she wouldnt just leave her friends like that but her being part of cp9 just adds to the fact that aokiji said every crew she was with will die i think that is what happens with cp9 they will fall because of robin just lik aokiji said
