I have not read the books, there is like 7 in the series.
But I did see it tonight and it was a really good film.
It had a lot of suspense in some parts, action and even some funny moments as well.
Very well acted, surprisingly so actually, no names that anyone would know of, a few actors from TV series in Australia though.
It was directed by first time director Stuart Beattie, who has written scripts for Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl and Collateral. He did a great job with this in my opinion.
It is an Australian film based on the Australian novel, so I am unsure whether it will be released internationally, but if it is I high recommend you go out and see it.
It was released today here in Australia and New Zealand.
