@taboo:
Im planning on going since I missed akon and since Houston is way closer
my primary goal is to learn the whayz of artist alley for next year
Oh cool. I heard that the convention this year is trying something as in reorganize where things are since they are trying to get use to their new location.
@Monkey:
Regardless of how "good/bad" Oni-Con is, just about everyone that lives in Houston that goes to conventions goes to it, just because it's a mainstay convention here.
I'm looking foward to coming back into the cosplay circuit again, and how else but by debuting my take on Luffy's Strong World formal outfit and potentially his other outfit.
Making that gun is gonna be either a.) difficult or b.) ridiculously fun.
Other than going to Oni-Con, there's always the ever-so awesome Planet Zero Anime Center to go to; they have a rad purikura machine that makes even grown men look fabulous, lol.
If you're gonna go to Oni taboo, let me know if you need a space to crash. Hell, or any of the Oni-Con attendee regulars know at that rate. :P
I'm gonna have to agree with MikeyDPirate; as of late, there's an ever-increasing support for it. We're not the West or East Coast by no means, and comparing Oni-Con to Otakon is like having a tank go mano-e-mano against a war mech.
That is true. Everybody and their momma goes to Oni since it is in Houston. Still apparently the convention is somewhat famous. I remember working registration last year and this guy from New Mexico came to the convention since it was an anime convention. Then there was this pair of people from Mexico who came too.
Good luck with the gun. That is the only thing from the cosplay that I haven't tried making. Have no idea how to make it.
Yeah. I think the raise in One Piece in Texas started to grow starting with Oni because since Oni I notice there has been a lot more One Piece cosplays. I am really excited to compare this years Oni's with last years on the blog.
@KamenRiderNeko:
We're planning on being Robin and Zoro >:3 He definitely wants to do the suit (not the ghey v-neck shirt lol) So I'll do my best to do the formal outfit as well as the green and white one just because I really want to wear that one.
Oh cool! If you guys do that then I so want to see if we could get others to be the rest.
Still I wish Oni would start announcing more guest. I would love more One Piece VAs to be there.
