Make and edit videos like Windows Movie Maker but better than that. I'd also like to know a Mac program that can convert HQ videos into HD videos as well since iMovie is very confusing and sucks basically.
What's a good Mac program to….

You might want to try AVIDemux. It allows you to cut, rearange, as well as a bunch of other things. If you want to add a soundtrack to something, though I'll stop you right there. I tried to do it and it can't. Just general editing will work though. I don't think it can convert HQ to HD though :ermm: .

I'm not really sure about any free mac apps that can do a good job. Obviously there's iMovie, but I agree that it sucks… or rather, I've never really figured out what iMovie's supposed to do O.o I've never found a way to edit audio, it's like all you can do is string movie clips one after the other, with some transitions and titles. Apparently the previous version was better, but who knows.
Personally, I use Adobe Premiere Pro. See, there's a lovely loophole in the law - as much as it is hyped up, it is NOT illegal to pirate software (or so my graphics teacher assured me). Rather, it is illegal to use it to make money, since in that respect, you're gaining something physical from a product without benefiting the manufacturer.
I don't think you can actually get software to convert video to HD.... after all, isn't higher quality video simply a higher resolution? I've downloaded some Blu-Ray movies, and they're just normal avi files, albeit hi-res ones over 10GB in size.

Oh, I can assure you that it's still illegal. You're just unlikely to get caught/punished.

Thank you very much. I just need to upload some videos on YouTube and I seem to already understand how to use iMovie and even convert the video into HD.
