Yesterday i wanted to watch Zoro versus Mihawk once more and so reloaded the old discs (let's not talk about that ep though as it didn't work :() but what was interesting is that though blatant to me now, the characters have really ages, they all look older and they've all matured so much. anyone else notice this?

Eh, I'd say they just grow with Oda's style. Seeing as how Oda doesn't believe in dates.
-
actually, i felt that oda draw the OP characters better now. If you compare, the old ones look loose and are not well-detailed. But now, they are well-detailed and have much more emotions then before.
-
Yeah, I really like the way the art has progressed. I think in terms of time, less than a year has passed in the OP story.
-
It's true that no one ages and everyone just grows with Oda's style – like Zoro getting beefier and Nami's hairline continues to rise. But I keep thinking that a year and half/two years have passed at this point. Sailing between islands takes time using wind-powered, small craft, and I always like to think that there are a hundred different islands that Oda never put in the story, but were still visited.
-
come to think of aging, nami's cleavage has been enlarging while her skirt getting higher and her body getting slimmer. the guys are getting muscular and more " believeable" as in their personality's
-
Usopp has gotten skinnier. Must be from Luffy always eating his food. XD
-
Cosmic, I remember asking you the same thing about if they age. The art style did change. Luffy's jaw is different, Usopp's hair is longer, and Nami's hair seems to have a lighter shade of brown.
-
Didn't Oda once say that Luffy celebrates his 17th b-day anniversary every year?
-
Oi really? That's crazy.
-
Yeah, that was a joke, of course. ;)

I've seen an unsubbed episode from Water 7 once. Nami's eyes are now red I think instead of black.
-
there's a difference? i doubt so. maybe when she's in shock when it turns red

Nope, they're still black.. but when she's surprised, you can see her irises… which are more of a pink then a red. But she's always had that. Although, they DO turn red when she's really angry >.>
All the Oda girls do that. You only see their irises when they're upset or shocked. Vivi's eyes are blue, and I think Robin's are a lilac purple, although they could be a bluish. Drawing a blank at the moment.

Actually, he's partly right. There is in fact a little bit of an amber tint in her eyes now. You don't always see it though. I can make a screencap if you want to see what I mean. Or just watch the 5th opening.
