Yeah, anyways, glad to hear they're taking a hiatus instead of mucking up the overall quality. Starting a new "series" would also give them opportunities for a lot of jokes about sequels and such too, even if it's not a sequel.

I'm working on editing all of BDR's scripts. It takes a while because I'm still behind by like 6 weeks and one script alone is quite an ordeal. Then I'll be catching up, doing scanlations of all of em.

Chapter 300 on manga fox was probably in wrong order of pages.
Someone had reported it, but apparently the gals on mangafox are busy debating who has the best sex appeal in gintama.Also, Pachi went omgwtfhax on Pirako just now.

This arc is wonderful. Nothing more to say.
I've heard mixed reviews about the movie, but the previews and teaser videos look great. I'm really curious about how they incorporated the Shinsengumi and other characters into the story. -

Due to these chapters I ended up rereading the whole Kabuki-cho arc. And what can I say, it's good, really good. And Jirochou seems a bit better now.
I wonder, Sorachi orientates on plot for since chapter 297. Will he continue or do we get the comedy bits now?
Oh, and Takechi's take on the "Edo youth law" is hilarious.

I thought I would bring back this thread, since I just started watching Gintama. I am around ep 50. I have but 3 questions for established fans:
1. Do more prominent storylines emerge later? An episodic structure is fine, but It would be nice to have a stronger story.
2. Does Kagura stop being… annoying? The Female Luffy thing is cool, but she seems to have no respect for Gin..,
3. Do the Shinsengumi continue to have a large role? Every scene with Zoro.... I mean Hijikata makes me laugh my socks off. So I'm hoping he continues to appear often....I am enjoying Gintama so far. Gin gives me many proverbs to live by.
But Elizabeth is the best character/thing EVER.

1. There will be more serious arcs later, however, those arcs won't affect the storyline really much. After all, Gintama is a gag manga/anime

3. Yes the shinsengumi will shows up plenty of times and will cooperate with the Yorozuya trio to create more crazy and badass adventures. -
Excellent! I don't dislike Kagura, I just don't like it when she beats up Gin and Shinpachi for not giving her all their food. For example. But after seeing the Umibozu arc, I do like her more. I also don't like Sadaharu for the same reason. When he went all Godzilla, that was CRAZY! But good to hear. Hopefully Gintoki will get a bankai one day… :P

58? I don't see why. I worded myself badly though, I do like Kagura, She just seems more like an enemy than a friend to odd jobs at times. :P By the way:

Also, In the episode where Otsu chan becomes Shinsengumi chief for a day, what the HELL was that gag about odd jobs dressing up as a homicidal centaur. That was one of the only jokes that seriously messed with my head. I mean, WTF?
The Death note dinner was one of my favourite episodes. Also, I rely wish Strawberry milk was sold in Britain now. -

The whole scenario regarding Gintama now is a mess since the crackdowns started. Luckily the person who translates it is still doing it, but its really hard to find raws and thus why it probably is hard to have nay further scanslations. (a shame considering all that has happened since then…heck I heard they may be starting a Sa-chan arc now)

Us at Hi Wa Mata Noboru are trying to get into doing this on a decent pace now.
We just finished 310 and are gonna go from there, then we might go back and do the last couple volumes in Tankoubon raws. Depending on how much help we get. Bomber D Rufi's translations need a lot of translation editing so it takes me a while to get to all of it, Gintama is really the hardest series to translate in Jump… -
Just finished watching Episode 75 of the show. God even the recap episodes are epic as hell. This episode is just worth it for Prince Hata's verison of the 3rd opening and Hata's voice Takasugi in the Benzukara arc recap. ^_^.
Funny thing, even through this episode was made years ago before the announcement the Benzukara arc movie and stuff. It just funny they ended up making a movie about the arc.
Edit: I'm about to finished the Yagyu Clan arc. I have to say this arc of episode is now pretty much favorite episodes of Gintama so far (This is my first run through of the series still. I love the stuck in the toliet seat episode of the arc. Just for the ending of the episode with Kondo.
