Surely everyone must have noticed that Sanji's left eye is ALWAYS covered with hair no matter what situation he's under through. Firstly, how does he make it? Is he using a super-duper-XXXXXXXtra strong hair gel? And what could be under those hair? Does he has no left eye? Or a special kind of eye is hiding behind those hair? Could he have eaten an Akuma no mi (devil's fruit) who grants him an ability connected with it? What do you think?

That was not my point. :blink: I DO know that they commite errors in the anime, but except for a few of them(like the "Zoro cutting steel" thing in the Apis Arc…), none of the errors really make the anime worst, IMO. It can be not so consistent like the manga, ok, but it´s still a GREAT show. So, I´m really impressed in how some dudes look down on it because of odd things, like "5 secs Sanji left eye scene" and stuff...

hehe, after looking at some of those screenshots in the mistakes and oddities topic, sanji doesnt look that good with the left eye exposed! unless if oda will draw him in a much better way with the left eye exposed! wonder when that would happen!

You know what, Sanji'll spend all this time searching for All Blue, yet in the end he discovers that his left eye is All Blue. Or, most likely not. Make that definately not.
Really, I doubt the eye being covered all the time is nothing more than a physical feature. If it ends up being some big surprise.. well, damn, I wasn't expecting that.

One more reason I don't like the anime is that most of the music is, what I think, not very fitting. Then I hate the way the characters is drawn, and most of the cool shots is taken away. And then, there is not just some misstakes, they have been making a lot of them, and serious misstakes to, not that small ones. Huge FAT ones.

I came to belive Sanji has NO left eye and maybe no left eyebrow. 'cause only his right eye turns into a heart and grows to enormous sizes. I wish someone had asked Oda about it… there surely must be a reason for Sanji's hair veiling his left eye even when his head is upside down... super gel sounds a good idea. My another guess is that Oda hasn't yet decided for himself.

Well, obviously Sanji can't have eaten a DF, seeing as how he's the one who usually dives after Luffy when he's about to drown, heh.
But I'm thinking Oda might be keeping the hair over the eye to make us jump into conclusions. Or possibly there is something funny about it. The most common reason for fictional characters to cover their eyes like that is partial or complete blindness in said eye. The way the eye itself looks varies from completely normal to unfocused/a funny colour to gone (meaning there is only a scar where the eye should be). Oda might have designed Sanji that way just because it looks cool, but then decided to keep the eye unseen at all costs, just to have some fun. Or, as I said earlier, Sanji may be hiding that eye for a reason other than to just look badass.

I've always wondered about that too… Even when he was a kid his other eye was unseen. But I guess that's what makes Sanji Sanji... :P

This reminds me of a topic I've seen on various forums about What's under kakashi's mouth cover thing.
It could be some big secret, it could be just to make him look better, It'd be pretty funny if it's reason #2, and sanji has like some weird fucked eye that he thinks makes him look ugly.

Just to clear one thing up. Oda said himself that Sanji has a left eye, it´s just that he doesn´t show it. In the SBS where he said that he included a pic of a two eyed Sanji. Just wanted to mention that before this thread gets to the point of blaming Toei that they work completely against Oda´s visions.

Several people swear to me Sanji has a scar under there from being hit by lightning.
Sound cool but I would love to find a source for this.Someone else suggested Oda just didn't want to draw the other eyebrow.
