Yes, in Japan and in most of the anime/manga communities in America.
But here, in America, One Piece isn't a high seller like Bleach or Naruto.
Viz Media including One Piece to their "The Big Three", when there's a big difference in popularity in the States, just seems inaccurate.

That may be true but I would rather have One Piece still promoted as much more popular than it actually is than the opposite.
In other news, I got the newest SJ and I am a bit dissapointed that while Naruto got color pages in this issue Viz dropped the ball by not using the color pages for the "New World" chapters as well as taking out the nice color spread. Viz has usually been good with One Piece on that sort of thing (like the whole Cross Epoch, and publishing Romance Dawn stuff).

At least they didn't add in the Naruto color spread along with that color page.

Isn't Death Note outselling One Piece? That's pretty shoddy when you have to keep a 60+ volume series in constant print.

I think Death Note sales are so high this year because they've been reprinting the series in a bigger 2 volumes in 1 format with some color pages. They released like 4 double volumes this year so far as opposed to only volumes 56 and 57 of One Piece.

Otherwise I just don't understand how a 12 volume series that ended publication 3 years ago here can still sell so many copies. Same with Dragon Ball which ended publication her in 2006. From the top 10 sales list here there are a few finished / short series that outsell One Piece on a yearly basis (not even overall) which is definitely strange.

I know with Bakuman at least there are more volumes being released every year. (I like Bakuman)

One Piece has fuck all presence in the UK.

We get the manga but no DVDs, no TV (never had the Funi dub).

We get a limited release of some of the games but thats mainly due to the fact that the games are released in Germany and France where it is doing fairly well and its easier to put on English subtitles than not.

Compared to Naruto and Bleach theres absolutely nothing.

The UK is the exception. Most European countries have OP on TV and/or a DVD release, as well as more or less caught up manga schedule.

Yeah. The problem in the UK is that there's no one interested in broadcasting it, and no company in their right mind would license it just for dvds given toei's huge fees and the easily obtainable uber-cheap american editions.
