I'm sorta wondering when we're actually going to get an arc where Toriko actually has a shitload of trouble. I know that one GT-Robo back in the Pufferwhale Arc was trouble, and I know the one at the Colosseum was easier, but still, Toriko so far has shown that there's nothing that he can't stop. I hope later on we get something that could actually hint the qualities of a final villain.

I think the point of the manga will be the completion of the Heavenly Kings' menus. Each of them have one, and they will become the main cast most likely, along with Komatsu, Terry and Rin.
We've only met the head chef of the Bishoku-Kai, maybe there's more villains aside from him.

it's only chapter 35. If you don't think he'll be facing trouble in the future.. then you need to go read more manga.

We haven't met the head of the Bishokukai. We met a couple minions plus the vice head chef.
I'm almost done translating chapter 36 now… stuff happens in every story, kinda unites the several stories that have been going on in the Regal Island arc. -
Just got caught up and this series is fucking awesome! JJBA and Fist of the North Star level awesome. I can't make up my mind on who my favorite character is yet i'm in a three way tie between "knocking master" Jirou, Coco or Sani.

I did know about Parthogenesis but I wasn't sure that the product always ended as a female. It's been a while since I had any biology classes.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to more wacky designs by readers. What I liked about Gash is how Raiku implemented fan-made designs into his story.

I'm re-translating the earlier chapters so they can be scanned with the tankoubon raws. The first one finally showed up scanned, so I'm starting it. Course, chapter 1 is 60 pages long and has lots of exposition…
But then finally there'll be a descent quality first few chapters. -

I started reading it after kewl0210 suggested reading it in another thread. It's a fun manga to read as a whole, but it's hard to just read it weekly. I wonder what Toriko's final menu is going to be? I cant wait to try to see him try to make his full menu at the end of the series.
I don't think this manga gets the attention it really deserves, but I was disappointed after hearing that this is the series that took over Double Arts. (I read this after it was cancelled and thought it had a lot of potential.) -

this series is really picking up. Aside from the typical battles at the moment… i find this read satisfying.
Plus they're inside a GIANT MAMMOTH with like 12 stomachs! how cool is that?

the way the techniques are explained reminds alot of HxH how the author will tell you about how a technique works out during the same chapter the technique showed up in.

Yeah, this is the only series that's keeping me satisfied manga-wise while I wait for Hunter X Hunter. One piece just isn't doing it for me.

^^ when the techniques get to complex ,so that the mangaka has to explain every move in a box than it could be horrible for the manga.. so far it`s okay but when it is now handled so in every fight than it will maybe suck…normally the villains can explain some of the attacks or the character does explain his moves(which was also in the latest chapter done)...

I figure (and hope, as the translator) that eventually there won't be so much explanation needed. Like in HXH when they explain the general technique once, then they will do things like special tricks they manage later on. But I like how scientific it is.
Now this arc is almost over, there's only 1 opponent left.

Staajyun I believe that's his name, it said in the next chapter that he's facing off against toriko? I get the feeling the death omen was for either the mammoth or komatsu will really die this time around in an effort to save toriko's life.

i'm gonna go on a limb and assume we'll get an extreme twist with Rin being the one to die. The whole death oman feels a lot like "The Death Star" from Hokuto No Ken (which is a good thing).
Yeah, I don't think Komatsu is dying. Sides' he already had a brush with death during the puffer whale thing. Sani defeated his opponent, so he's a little safer. And Toriko is the main freaking character… unless we're on the verge of a resurrection arc... which would suck balls

Those map scans guys aren't very good, they didn't write a bunch of stuff like I said to. I'm now not translating attack names, because I figure they're gonna get farther from "all English" from here.
Plus for whatever reason they stuck the Jump cover, which does not have Toriko on it, in the chapter.Still, it was a cool chapter. I don't see them killing Rin off so soon. The gourmet cell guys can recover by eating or something, so she's not "sure dead" or anything, the problem is the death sign.

I read the new chapter at mangahelpers. It was really cool overall.

1. So is Rin dead?
2. Was Rin's dying wish to have Toriko spit in her mouth? If so that's weird. -

She seems dead, but there was a thing about the people with gourmet cells being healed by eating/drinking. The last wish seems to have been said offscreen. -

Man it's refreshing to see fatal wounds actually killing someone in a manga. I liked Rin and all but after reading OP and Bleach and whatnot where having two thirds of your torso blown off won't even keep a man down for a bit, you just have to give some respect for the author.
Hope I won't have to take that back.

I feel bad Rin died, but I think it's obvious she's dead. There is no way she could survive naturally and there is no knocking master to squirt some jellyfish jelly on her and make everything better.
