Okay, so I know Usopp throws a "star" full of gunpowder, but how does it explode?

It's probably the impact. In my isla there's this firework called "mito", that's gunpowder in a little paper. When you throw to the ground, it makes a little explosion

well it could also contain nitroglycerin or some other volitile compound that makes it explode on impact?
(AlNi apart from gunpounder and paper i belive there are rocks in them as well that creates sparks, from friction upon impact, that ignites the gunpowder)
