I was so disappointed when I didn't hear Paku Romi-san during the first episode :(
I actually watched the series first before watching Jump Festa. But I like Paku Romi's rendition of Sena better than the current seiyuu (whose name I'm lazy to look up, ._.), and Miki Shinichirou's Hiruma has more character. Of course, until now I am yet to hear a satisfying "YA-HA!"

**I have to agree with you to a point with Beck, while I liked the show because I'm a Beck fanatic, the manga is just so much better. But at least the series gained some more fans, the manga seemed so "underground" before the series! The ending sucked though, I was hoping they'd get to the next arc, which is my favourite. Oh well. One other thing… I liked some of the musical addition the anime brought, Chiba's vocal seiyuu was awesome, but the only time I could stand Koyuki's voice was during the "Slip Out" song. Kazuya Hirabayashi seems to sing a lot better for his Husking Bee band than the show...
I guess seeing all the "HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!" reactions and action lines when he sang in the manga made my expectations of his voice for the anime way too high as well. Heh.
can't wait for vol22**_
_Word. The ending at ep. 26 sucks majorly since they speed up the American Tour with only photos (freakin' photos!). It's actually my favorite part of the series so far, second only to Beck's Grateful Sound performance (I almost wrote Grateful Dead >.<). My pet peeve is Ryousuke's seiyuu and his Engrish. To tell you the truth, I shivered everytime he spoke, so for health reasons I stopped watching the anime at the third episode.
Yes, I did have high expectations for the songs and Koyuki's voice too. They fell flat, though. I want to hear the voice that can bring people's jaws down, that can stop the air in the room because that's how Sakuishi portrays it. sigh
I need BECK fanfics.
Can't wait for vol. 22 too. =)_
