I was wondering if AP forums could ever get the "SPOILER" option. Cuz lots of ppl hate spoilers so we should be able to hide it and if you want to see it hit
"View Spoiler" so u can view it. If you don't wanna see the spoiler then don't choose that option. If you dont understand then maybe u should check Keiichi Anime Forever Forums cuz thats where they have the Spoiler thingy.

Does Invision Board have that option? I've only seen it on VBB's I think.
White coloured text might have to suffice :lol:
Edit: hur, apparently they do have it. Probably in the non-trial version.

I help admin at another board that uses InvisionFree and I've noticed a lot of differences between this board and that board. It might be because of certain options enabled and certain options not enabled (such as post #, if you hover over one's name, you can see the last time they 'refreshed' the page I'm guessing), but I'm having second thoughts. Or maybe there's a second level of "InvisionFree" that I don't know about.
But that fact that it says "Invision Power Board(Trial)" might have something to do with it all.
EDIT: Oh right, spoiler deal.
Well, I guess spoiler tags would be nice, although I thought people were always supposed to mark spoilers around here.
EDIT2: Well, okay, so I guess we DO have the Power Board one as well. @_@ Strange. Maybe I am just blind in seeing these options or something.

I would hate having spoilers tag especially weekly chapter thread and quick summary thread. If we put spoilers option there, then every post has to be marked with that >.>
I mean… It'll be always the spoiler regardless. Maybe some people didn't read up to current chapters, and it'll be always spoiler for them...I went to one of the board which is similar to AP (having chapter discussion as soon as the raw comes out) and we have to put every reply into spoiler tag .__. It's too much trouble to read; I have to click, click, click, click, and CLICK!

Spoiler tags are a pain. Usage always leads to big wanky arguments about what needs to be tagged and what can be left untouched and the like. See Something Awful: they ban on spoiler tag misuse.

I agree it probably would be retarded to use them in recent chapter threads (what else other than spoilers would be there?), but if you're just posting in another anime/game/whatever thread or something and go off on a tangent it could be useful…

If they're the kind that you have to click and drop down, I agree, they are annoying. I'm not fond of spoiler tags really and there hasn't been much complaining about it on here. I'd say just leave the system as it is, or I guess the admins/mods could see if they can tackle the Spoiler option onto the board (though our opinion via poll on this matter would be nice). That, and whether they can with InvisionFree.
Though when it comes down to it, I really just like how we have it set up as this board. You can put spoiler warnings in the title for the entire topic, or if it's blatantly obvious (like new chapter threads), I don't think you'd need it. If people stumble into one of those topics, they better expect spoilers to be in it. People here are mostly good when marking spoilers I'd think (I've had some bad runs at a few other places though and posting 'unnecessary' spoilers, but that's besides the matter).
