Has anyone read anything by Haruki Murakami?
I picked up a book of his short stories and I love them. I'm wondering what else of his I should read.
Anyone?

Haruki Murakami is amazing! I just started reading him because I love reading Asian books and he shares my birthday. I adore him.
Did you read "After the Quake"? That's the only short-stories book I've read by him. I love "Norwegian Wood", so try that one. Wow, I haven't read any Murakami for ages… I should start re-reading.

No, I have The Elephant Vanishes.
Would you recommend more short stories, or one of his novels? -
I think you should try out one of his novels, though if you don't have much time on your hands I recommend the short stories in "After the Quake" (I haven't read it for over a year, but each story is vaguely connected in some way.).

good thing I have a birthday coming up. I can buy lots of books!
'course, that doesn't mean I'll have time to read them… -
I read some of them, but don't really remember… One of them was the elevator kept going up and down for one paragraph, and I was like... x.x? (That one I read in English, other than that, I read in Japanese.)
Maybe I should get my reading-novel habit back again. Too much into Manga lately.

Yeah Murakami Haruki….. lol I picked up Norwegian Wood (Norway no mori) but I only got to read the first vol. I think >< It's trendy best-seller love-story ish and good ^^. I should look for the second vol.
