The bootleg is up to Vol. 12 . Looking at KatanaJon's link….$42 FOR 3 SHOWS ?!!!!!! I'll just keep my HK ones of 20 shows for 14.95 .

Now that's a bit unfair, IMHO. The Japanese DVDs aren't translated, and not everyone has that sort of money to spend on something they can't even understand. I don't know about you, but I don't know too many people who have the hundreds of dollars (no exageration) that would be needed to buy every single one of the legit Japanese DVDs.
However, don't get me wrong. I do encourage people to support the industry. Buy the English subtitled edition when it becomes available. If you have issues with the translation quality or company, (or if you can understand raw Japanese) then buy the Japanese version as you are finacially able - just make sure you do it.
I have always watched bootlegs of shows I've loved, since I usually see stuff before its licensed - be they fansubbed or HK if no fansub is available. But then I will buy the legit DVDs as they come out, because I want to show support for the animation companies, and the people who translated it (if they do a good job). shrugs Maybe some people would have a problem with that, but it always seemed reasonable to me.

Hopefully when it gets here, it'll be more like 3-5 episodes for $30 - and if you buy it on sale, $20! That's still a lot of money, especially to you high school kids, I know…But when you are able to, I suggest do it!_

My only problem with the bootlegs is that they support organized crime in Hong Kong. o.o

the Fake One piece Hk DVD ,is very cheap in china …like 5$ HK dollars for 1 cd ..very cheap ...i bought alot Dvd there ..too cheap ... i support those fake DVD ..know why?in hong kong ,if real DVD is very very very expensive ....i can't effort them ..so all i can do is buy a fake 1 ...
10dvd in original one piece dvd ...210$ something .. 10dvd in fake onepiece dvd ..50$ ... if you could choose ..you'd choose which?cheaper or expensive ...but some of the Dvd ,their screen is not very well ,but it is alright,i can see it very clear ..the subtitle usually change into other kind ..like it is big and clear ..and after switch other dvd ,some of the subtitle are smaller ..... but i can understand it ,then it's alright lol
