and i hope tomorrows selection is better. alot of the VC games have been …lame
btw how old is mario?
Mario could may as well be in his mid 20's. Peach is supposedly young 20's and in Mario&Luigi PiT Mario was a tot while Peach was a baby.
Well, Nintendo better belt out Mario RPG soon, all I can say…

I need this game right now.
Mortified, horrorfyed, disgusted…..yet interested.
God dammit, Captain Rainbow NEEDS to come out stateside!
I would buy that as soon as it came state-side.
Heard about it ages ago. It might come over, but I wouldn't put my hopes on it, since it doesn't really seem like something most Americans would be interested in. I'd definitely purchase it though.
I'm getting a 'Conker's Bad Fur Day' vibe from this game.
And me Liiiiiiiiiiiiike.
Jesus christ… is anybody getting really disappointed by the Wii? I mean, yeah the rest of 2008 has some great games coming up, http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=26478407&page=0 just take a look at that. That should be enough proof. but all of those don't come out for a while. I haven't really played a Wii Video game since like late May, since there hasn't been a single good one this entire summer.
Chocobo's Dungeon is fun. Get that.
Boom Blox also got some really high marks too.
Or you could just wait a month in the season where good games in general usually come out.
EDIT: Holy shit, Tenchu.
Yeah, that has an amazing list of games T_T I gotta pick wisely of what I want… since of all those I want
-Fatal Frame Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
-Tenchu IV
-Maybe Stars Wars Force Unleashed for the Wii remote sensitivity
-MadWorld
-Tales of Symphonia : Dawn of New World
-Conduit
-Monster Hunter 3
-Maybe Deadly Creatures
-Wario Land : Shake It!
-Orobo Muramasa Youtouden
-Captain Rainbow
-Spiderman : Web of Shadows
-Resident Evil 0
As for the new game, since most of those aren't out until late September or early October, I might get Resident Evil 4 : Wii Edition, since I only have played the PS2 version, and I heard that the controls in the Wii Edition was superb.
Wario Land, Tenchu, and Madworld are definitely on my list!
It seems quite a nice amount of people here enjoy the Tales series, that has some interest in me, though I don't think I'll be able to commit to another RPG at this time.
As for Resident Evil 4, I played the Wii version a bit and I can definitely say that its got some advantages over the PS2 version. Though I've been so used to the Gamecube controls that everything felt a little off.
"Oh wait, I actually have to POINT to where I want to shoot!? Holy shit!"
I hope this is the week for super Mario RPG.
http://www.vc-reviews.com/news/2008/09/usa_vc_releases_super_mario_rpg_and_clu_clu_land
FINALLY!!! I am definitely buying Super Mario RPG as soon as I possibly can!
Also, Wario Land is probably the only upcoming Wii game that I'm considering buying, as I'm running out of room on my Wii at an alarming rate.
So does that mean today? -_- I have no idea when VC games come out since its usually off a ROM I get it, but I can't actually find a SMRPG ROm so i gotta get it XD
Yup
Mario RPG – SNES (800)
Clu Clu Land -- NES (500)
and My Aquarium -- WiiWare (500)

Did Gradius ever go to VC?
I plan to buy RPG this week, but i think one of the gradius games was on VC,but not listed on nintendos site.
also i will have about 1200 points left. what are some good VC games to buy?
Hmm. I wonder if Space Channel 9 will be possible to play on the Wii (as a remake or in the WiiShop). I've always wanted to play that.
Has anybody here tried the twilight hack?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twilight_hack
It seems like the way to go if you wanna play import games, but to me it sounds like it messes up the wii too. Or maybe im just paranoid.
Works fine on my PAL Wii with No More Heroes US and hopefully with Tales of Symphonia 2 soon too…
New Shop Channel games this week:
Cho Aniki – TG16/Import (900 pts.)
Final Soldier -- TG16 (700 pts.)
Groovin' Blocks -- WiiWare (800 pts.)
I saw that CHo aniki was going to be this month when i read it on wiki.
Wiki also says Clay fighter 1 for the genesis is this month and this year is supposed have 2 Earthworm jim games and CLay fighter 64 1/3 .
Can a classic be edited before it goes to the VC system?
Yes. .
ouch,
looks like Lady Liberty could be deleted from Clay fighter:sculptors cut then.
All that and still no hard drive.
@Sandai:
All that and still no hard drive.
or at least a working Memory card.
or at least a working Memory card.
You're kidding me, right? I remember someone telling you that there technically is one, but that it wasn't your traditional Memory Card, since they're pretty much obsolete to have now, post Gamecube/PS2/X-Box era.
Any SD (Secure Digital) Card serves as a "Memory Card" for any game for the Wii, as it creates a file on it when you transfer the data to it, respectively. There's a port in the front, in the middle to be exact. A protective cover houses the red sync button to sync your Wiimotes to the Wii. Right next to it is the SD Card port.
or at least a working Memory card.
Hey, SD card works for me when I'm taking OP:UA and my saved data to other people's houses to beat the shit outta em.

then what did I hear about saving on a card and it was just a copy of the save or something like that?
or you had to delete the save to save again or something like that?
or has the card issue been solved?
I downloaded CluClu Land off the VC, and I gotta say it is freaking hard! I've only beaten two levels so far. Well, I still have Super Mario RPG and Fire Emblem: RD to play.
Also, any word on the exact date of Megaman 9's release? I know it's sometime this month.

For japan it's the 24th. People are assuming the 22nd for the US.

Dodgeball blah and vectorman is cool, but not worth the 800 points

Mega Man 9 is a full game.
My brother lent out our Wii like a week ago to some douche I don't even know and he still hasn't brought it back.
@Solar:
The hell?
I need to explain …:getlost:
I thought the game was going to a full game to buy..as in a disc.
not a downloadable game that costs points to buy.
Considering how short the game is they probably didn't see the need to do all that.
I have a wii.
my wii games are:
-wii sports
-Super Smash Brawl
-Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn
-One piece Unlimited Adventure
-Zelda: Legend of the Twilight Princess
I got my wii about…4 months ago.
I was planning on getting it around some time early november of last year, but all my stores in my area and my sisters area were sold out, and one time in february I went to a target and there was 1 wii left, and this old lady really wanted it, her son was desperate she says, being the nice guy I am, I let her take it, waited till july to get one.

To add to what Sandi Mera said, it's a relatively short game. Length-wise, its on-par with MM2/MM3.
Making a Wii optical disc would be a waste of one, as the file size of MM9 is probably at the same standards as a late NES or SNES game has.
A Wii optical disc holds 4.7 GB (basically a DVD), I'm sure Megaman 9 has to be under 1 GB alone, so I hope you can realize its a total waste of resources to do that for all three next-gen consoles. I honestly can't understand why you're griping about downloading it for 1000 Wii Points ($10.81 with tax here in Texas); getting a debit/credit card to do all of that should definitely take less effort than to go out to a store and getting the game on a disc (which I still find hilariously impractical).
Besides, Capcom's going to release a NES-inspired cartridge with a disc containing MM9 art. Complete with a box to accompany the mentioned cartridge, too. A total love letter from Capcom and Inafune if you ask me.
BTW, I dunno how you can rag on Super Dodge Ball. That game is what legends are made of. As least back when I was playing it, it had the same level of excitement as if I was playing a next-gen game today.
Correct me if I'm wrong (PLEASE DO), but isn't there only going to be 200 copies of the CD you mentioned released to the public?
Now regardless of how much of a pussy deflector the shirt looks, I really want it. Oh GOD.

Oh, you're correct on that, at least according to what Capcom has said regarding the CD. That doesn't rule out the fact that they might be releasing more copies later on.
That overly epic shirt is anything but a pussy deflector; it's totally gonna magnetize girls, especially ones of the nerdy variety.
If I'm not mistaken, we're talking about a navy blue shirt with Mega Man in his mid-air pose, right? ALMOST bought it yesterday, but seeing as how I have a birthday tomorrow, I'll get it then.
Speaking of which, I'm most likely getting No More Heroes tomorrow as well. The Wii has admittingly been collecting dust, and, well, dust just doesn't look good on white.

They've been selling that shirt in hot topic for a while. At least a month before it was put on that website. I know because I own one.
