I guess I can't hate on you for taking your chances, I'm just not sure I understand the benefit of owning the Japanese version.

Simply a die-hard fan's wish to play the game the way (he thinks) it's meant to be played. Voices are enough to ruin a game for me. The reason why I never picked up the NA version of Unlimited Adventure.

I find bad voice acting to be a plus in fighting games for some reason.

I've always preferred Snake's Japanese seiyū, honestly.

Then again, I usually tend to prefer Japanese audio, in general. It sells the mark a lot better than some of these American VA's who try way too hard.

@ Gohn: For me, it doesn't matter what seiyū/VA Snake has, one thing is undeniable:

Whether its Ōtsuka Akio or if its David Hayter, they both do him justice.

With my point made, I'm still a bit sad there isn't a Japanese audio setting. They did it in Melee, I couldn't see why they could've done the same for Brawl.

As with Zero Suit Samus, I doubt they changed the announcer's dialogue, with the exception of regional name changes.

Nobody truly knows how "Dedede" is supposed to be pronounced, largely because names don't follow linguistic rules, so Nintendo of America probably isn't going to bother trying their hand at it.

That's pretty much how i feel too. I just don't get what's the big fuss over a couple of shitty voices.

Especially as series like Star Fox here in the US have always been known for having goofy voices.

Pretty sure that's Falco's Assault voice as well, and Fox's too. Nice for them to settle on a voice instead of changing it like every new game.

Makes more sense when someone can totally navigate the game without having language barrier troubles. Which is the case for me (not having language barrier troubles).

Fox's and Metaknight's Japanese seiyuu are TONS better than the English. I also prefer Snake's JPN to NA.

Also, while it's easier and more pleasant-sounding to say 'Dee-dee-dee', I end up saying 'Deh-deh-deh' most of the time.

I don't care how bad voices can be in a fighting game. Fun just to laugh at their yells when you star KO them.(and honestly, how often would you even hear the spoken voice lines?)

I'll go ahead and say I'll prefer the English one far more. >.> I want to be able to read the trophies or whatever text there are.

Speaking of trophies, I'm kinda dissapointed in the distribution of them. Lots of them is good, but Wario and Mother got kinda cheated…plus it seems to be most of the recent games get trophies moreso then anything else.

However, the trophies look really neat...especially the Final Smash ones.
