@helendragon:
But that really won't work so well youshi when your more than C-cup it gets harder to hide them. I'd have to wear one so small for it to work that it might be more comfertable to bind. Usually its not a problem, its just I had get it as flat as I could for this one….The jacket hides very very little.
You keep talking about how tough it is because the jacket is so tight and form-fitting. But Sanji's clothes aren't really tight at all. His jackets are structured so they fit him well, but they're definitely not tight. Binding shouldn't be hard when you're wearing a blazer at all; male characters who wear blazers are generally the easiest to cosplay because they're structured enough to give a more masculine shape when you wear the right kind.
Your jacket is too tight and too short, so it's emphasizing your curves, which is precisely what you don't want to do when dressing as a man. The best thing to look for is a small men's blazer, which would be structured and wouldn't nip in at the waist and wouldn't potentially have darts or anything. But if you can't find one that fits well enough, women's blazers can be okay as long as you get the right shape (Again, look for one that ISN'T fitted at the waist. Small shoulderpads can actually be advantageous in this rare case.).
The length is also really important. You need to get a jacket that's about five inches longer than what you have there. I know the natural instinct is to try to get a shorter one to make your legs look longer, but:
1) Men have longer torsos than women do, so making your torso appear longer with longer shirts or jackets and slightly lower-waisted pants helps a lot.
2) The jacket you have now cuts off at the top of the hips, right above your widest part. This emphasizes the curve of your hips, which you want to minimize. By getting a longer jacket (I usually go with ones around 28-29 inches long, but it depends on your height) that covers at least half of the curve of your thighs, you'll be cutting that in half and making them look much smaller, which again, is REALLY important in looking more masculine. Wearing a thigh shaping undergarment like this one you can find at Sears also helps.
The last thing is that the buttons on your jacket are a little too large, especially for a too-small jacket like that. It's good that you have buttons that stand out, but they look too big and out of place on your small frame, which again adds to the overly feminine look.
On another note, makeup can also help a lot, using a subtle light brown eyeshadow or something to emphasize your jawline and cheekbones.
If you follow these guidelines, although they may seem counterintuitive, I promise they'll make you a more convincing crossplayer. Here's me normally (complete with curvy lady hips) and here's me in crossplay, following my own advice, although granted, these aren't very masculine characters to begin with: (1) (2)
But yeah, this goes for anyone who needs tips on this kind of thing.
