I personally enjoyed Evangelion and its ending. While I was watching that, I was learning about psychoanalysis and other schools of psychology in my General Psych, and when I was younger, I went to a Catholic school, so seeing those two things blend together in a giant-robot-christfest was entertaining to me.
But comparing Evangelion's ending (where there's nothing left and it's all up to you interpreting it) and Gurren-Laggan's ending (which has almost everyone that mattered living and even provides an epilogue) just confounds me immensly.
