Do you understand Japanese? If you dont. Where the hell did you get the subs from.
In some raw clips I've seen (at least, I think these are clips from the original:
, , ), normally in the manga, the characters would be spitting out blood after every attack, but there's no blood in this clip. I don't understand most of the words they are saying, but I can see that there isn't blood. -

There's no blood, but there wasn't any blood in the original, so the only real downside to the dub are unneccessary name changes in the Former Empire arc, and some of the jokes that just aren't funny (such as the narrator's "cowboy phase" near the end of the series).
Yea there is blood. I've seen most of the series raw, and there is blood. Mostly just blood from the mouth, and nose though. They use "blood lines", like in the first season of Gash Bell.

volume 6 cover
http://books.shueisha.co.jp/search/book_image/978-4-08-874427-8.jpgI can easily recognize Hiiragi on the cover but the green hair on top and the guy on the bottom are a bit harder. Though considering what this volume probably will have (the end of the Gura fight, probably all the Kamara fight and the beginning of the evil Hajikelists), then we have one more volume after this before the series is over in volume form. (hopefully the last volumes has some really cool stuff…like some explanations by Sawai or some thanks tributes or something)

It's actually pretty awesome. xDIts a nice time-waster, but I really wish they had it go beyond fighting base Hair Hunters and end with pretty much Hagen. (the villain from episode 1). A game that goes at least up to Gunkan…heck, one that goes all the way to Giga would have been impressive.

Judging by the eyes, the guy on the bottom could be Tsurulina III. His hair was red before, but we don't know if it would have changed colour when he got the Hair Ball, or if it was just to make the cover look better.

Yeah, I finally figured that was Tsurulina III somehow. And the kid on the top is I think Namero. Oh, and I think its confirmed that the series will be 7 volumes, making the whole thing (pt. 1 + Shinsetsu) 28 volumes altogether.
-
(bumping since no one else did it)
Man, last night really showed how much I'm going to miss the Bo-bobo dub after next week. I didn't realize how great the Sacks fight would be animated, not to mention that I actually like how they VA the remainder of the Reverse characters (mostly LOVE, but Crimson and Byakkyo was good…and I can't say anything about Be-bebe because he never gets any lines in these two episodes!) Somehow I just wish either Viz just skips ahead or Toei and CN get together and at least animate the end of the Reverse arc...and maybe do Hair Kingdom while they're at it.
-
Why did it get cancelled? I heard the Japanese PTA complained it was "too violent", but I don't think it was anymore violent then One Piece or Naruto.
If that was the reason, even Japan has soccer moms. Or…football moms.
-
LAST EPISODE?!
NOOOO!
whoever is doing the DVDs needs to do boxsets -
This is depressing, why BoBoBo, why!
-
And still after all this wait, bobobo manga can't be found anywhere (does anyone know which vol are they up to in Japan, and also which vol is the one w/ the Rose user (you know, after they save Gasser)
-
In Japan, the series is done, but not all of it has been released in volume form. Right now, there are 27 volumes (21 from the original series (which continues after the anime), plus 6 from Shinsetsu (the sequel, set a year later)) with at least one more volume left. I don't know which volume the rose guy is in, but it would be during the Former Empire arc.
-
The rose guy is "Barayuri Kikunojo" (also known in the dub as "Wild Wister"). Former Maruhage G-Block Leader.
And yeah, there's one more episode of anime and one more Japanese volume of Shinsetsu left in the series. Basically (without spoiling too much of what happens next outside next week):
! Bo-bobo uses Denbo to stop the upgraded 3 Sacks, but Crimson (the white haired guy with the three eyes) and LOVE (the girl) get enough sacrifices (well slightly with Bo-bobo's help) to raise Hydrate's castle to the surface. Bo-bobo's team (alongside Hatenko, OVER, Halekulani, Despair/Unknown Sad Sack/Emo Boy and Kancho/The Splinter) head up to the castle (using Gunkan's regent)…and that's the moment the series ends.
-
Is it possible that for the dub, they could just at least animate the end of the arc or just continue the story?
-
Is it possible that for the dub, they could just at least animate the end of the arc or just continue the story?
It could happen but it all depends on several factors, including Toei, CN and a few other things. (remember: 4Kids was able to get Toei to animate the later part of the "Choujin Crown" arc for Kinnikuman Nisei, even if the Japanese only saw it extremely late at night) But so far, the dub is treating this like these are the final episodes.
-
i just wish that Japan would just continue making it and we can dub it as it goes on(or just make the manga dub in the U.S. into volumes)
-
^I know, I'm gonna feel a little incomplete when it ends without finishing the arc at least.
-
I think I could give a few things away about what happens after the Sacks fight…but its all staying in spoilers even after the finale ends for those who want to wait for this:
! The remainder of the Reverse Maruhage/Shadow Chrome Dome fight take place inside Hydrate's floating fortress, resurrected with the power of the warriors captured in Maruhage Castle. After the battle with the Three Sacks (Triple Bag), Bo-bobo's team (currently with Beauty, Don Patch, Tennosuke/Jelly Jiggler, Heppokomaru/Gasser, Softon, Dengaku Man and Hanpen/General Lee Fishcake) join with the survivors of the Reverse Maruhage assault (Hatenko, OVER, Halekulani, Zetsubou/Emo Boy/Unknown Sad Sack & Kancho/The Splinter) to fight against the more powerful menace. The stages go as follows:
! Level 1: Crimson (Reverse Maruhage Four Heavenly King)
Ability: Mittsume Yamiken (Dark Fist of Three Eyes, allows him to create eye projectiles that watch over an opponent and fire electrical attacks from them)
Assistants: Tsugan G (a serious looking guy with a scarred eye), Chef Lin (a slug in a chef's hat)
Stage: A massive movie studio used by Crimson to force anyone fighting against him in various film roles
Fighting against him: Bo-bobo, Tennosuke, Halekulani
Result of Fight: After Tennosuke and Halekulani go nuts, Bo-bobo eats the jelly man and some of Halekulani's money, turning him into the triple gambling fusion Kintenbo, forcing Crimson through various gambling nightmares before "sending him back to his home dimension"
! Level 2: LOVE (Reverse Maruhage Four Heavenly King)
Ability: Oioroke Yamiken (Dark Fist of Sexy, allows her to manipulate her sexuality to flirt and seduce male opponents)
Assistants: Meat-Meat Aliens (two meaty buns)
Stage: A conveyor belt with chemicals that force anyone through them to grow huge muscles. (LOVE's a pervert for those sorts of things)
Fighting Against Her: Don Patch, Hatenko, OVER
Result of Fight: Don Patch and Hatenko show immunity to LOVE's seduction, but OVER is stuck with her…until he gets angry enough (mostly with Tennosuke's help) to turn back into Torpedo Girl and become immune! After LOVE transforms, Hatenko releases his own weird world where anyone's hidden potential can be unlocked...and both he and Torpedo Girl finish her off.
! Level 3: Byakkyo (Hydrate's Right-Hand Man)
Ability: Teope Shinken (Fist of Surgery, allows him to open up an opponent and destroy their insides by the use of several voodoo dolls he graphs on his body and can transfer to other bodies for further damage)
Assistants: Weight-san (a bean creature who weighs a lot), Nightinggal (a nurse who provides scalpels to Byakkyo for his operations)
Stage: A hospital room
Fighting Against Him: Softon, Don Patch, Tennosuke
Result of Fight: After struggling for a while against him, Don Patch forces Bo-bobo become Patchbobo, but even he has a hard time against the surgeon...however, after their minute together is up, the true result of the fusion is revealed: they fused Byakkyo's dolls with Don Patch's "Ya-kun" dolls, rendering them useless! After a couple more attacks, everyone pretty much destroys the doctor.
! Level 4: Bebebe-be Be-bebe (Hydrate's Left-Hand Man, Bo-bobo's Big Brother)
Ability: Sunege Shinken (Fist of the Leg Hair, not much to say about this except its leg hair instead of nosehair)
Assistants: Sharmei (an understudy of Be-bebe's), a telephone poll
Stage: A special moon-lit arena (basically each of the "five hairs" has an enhancing element and leg hair's is the moon)
Fighting Against Him: Bo-bobo, a few other characters who avoid his leg hair assaults (mostly Don Patch and Tennosuke but Dengaku Man and Zetsubo get some in too)
Result of Fight: With Bo-bobo and Be-bebe fighting, Torpedo Girl (along with Don Patch & Tennosuke) sneak inside Bo-bobo and rewire him a bit. This ends up releasing one of his most powerful attack: Ganeme (a weird transformation of the word "Megane" or "glasses" and initially activated when Bo-bobo turns his shades upside down), which makes Bo-bobo become an uncontrollable destroying machine...and in conjunction with Don Patch, ends up changing all of history and smashing his brother with a super-powerful glasses attack. After the battle, Be-bebe escapes from the Yamiking in disgrace.
! Level 5: Hydrate (Reverse Maruhage Leader)
Ability: Ashi no Ura Shinken (Fist of the Foot Sole, allows him to create extremely powerful attacks...using the soles of his feet, taught to him by Torpedo Girl's father, Landmine Dandy) Also posesses three of the strongest defensive items: the Nyan-Nyan Armor (a set of cat pajamas), the Fat Raising Armor (a bra) and Dark Necros (an actual armor instead of some stupid piece of clothing)
Stage: Hydrate's throne room
Fighting Against Him: Pretty much everyone
Result of Fight: This one goes through a bit, but several characters get in a few attacks that damage Hydrate, including Kancho, Dengaku Man (yes, Dengaku Man) and Don Patch, before a combination of Don Patch and Bo-bobo (using a super-powerful attack that has requirements to use) finally defeat Hydrate.
! After that, the Yamiking pretty much vanishes and everyone is saved by Suzu's teleportation, the Maruhage Empire pretty much dies after being abandoned by Tsurulina the IV, many of the villains move on with their lives go back home and the main Bo-bobo team celebrate with a barbeque…which suddenly is interrupted by Hatenko attacking Bo-bobo, but that's another arc and will be saved for another time. -
Post 1713 (I mean Tokoro Akaru) your talking about Ultimate Muscle, right?
Anyway I guess I'm right that it have something to do w/ that singing girl defeating everyone (a long time ago I saw the spoiler to it)

The spoiler is everything in the Reverse Maruhage arc after the final episode. So its all Bo-bobo spoilers.
And yes…
! Denbo does reappear, but she only defeats the Sacks's transformed form. That's in the final episode.

isnt bobobo's sister supposed to look exactly like her?

! We don't meet her until the Hair Kingdom, but yes: Bububu-bu Bu-bubu is a clone of Denbo. (or should I say Denbo is a clone of Bu-bubu) Doesn't sing but is a master of "Wakige Shinken" (Fist of Armpit Hair)…sadly she only used it once in the whole series.

so does that mean that Dengaku-man is somehow connected to bobobo's family?

! Although its just a gag series where anything can happen, my guess is that this is just what was pulled out when Dengaku Man fused with Bo-bobo. Hajike Fusions are very unpredictable…and besides, the fact that Bu-bubu and Denbo are similar in appearance is more just a weird joke. (though while I don't have the manga on me, I think Dengaku Man gets really upset and starts complaing that "Bu-bubu stole his look")

So, has anyone bothered to write or call TOEI to get them to animate the rest of the series? I plan to soon, just wanted to know if anyone else had similar ideas.
Also, what happened to our Bobobo DVDs? I can't find any past volume 2, and that was released like 6 months ago.
-

I know there was a Spanish petition after the Mexican Bo-bobo run ended, but that's it. Not sure if anyone in Japan tried but I'd imagine what's going to happen here after Saturday. Sure Bo-bobo isn't as massive a fanbase as a lot of American-aired anime, but its good enough to get all 76 episodes. (which I really want them to rerun instead of showing another rerun of some other show on CN just because)
-
OMG, 14 mins until the end, now I'm really wonder how in the world are they going to bea that guy (of course I'm talking about Czar Baldy Bald)

In an entirely random way that really makes no sense. Who could have guessed?

Czar Baldy Bald the IV makes one final appearance but won't spoil the rest.

Bobobo-bo has now been ended in the US ;-;,I wish TOEI would continue the series or made a anime movie of Hair Kingdom Saga,At least the manga is still in the US

Hmm, Mexican? Wasn't the Spanish dub done in Spain? I could be wrong, but that's what I've heard, and the fact it uses "vosotros" (the informal word for "you" in the plural which is rarely used outside of Spain) would seem to indicate that as well.
Unfortunately, however, no amount of asking Toei to continue the series is going to do anything unless one of the people doing the asking is willing to pay for it. Toei isn't going to go and make the remaining episodes out of the goodness of their hearts. An outside person or group is going to have to pay them.
At the moment I think Cartoon Network is the only one who can do it. Phuuz/Unbound? Nope, they get paid to dub it. Toei? Nope. Again, they get paid to make it. Cartoon Network is the one who PAYS to get it dubbed/made so they can show it on their network and then get paid by companies who show commercials. So, in the end, unless you or someone else is going to pay Toei to make the rest of the series, Cartoon network holds all the cards here.
Not sure about the DVDs. Illumitoon I think released the third DVD in very limited quantities. I really don't know if they'll release it again and the rest of the series or not. I'd really prefer they did.

CN has the resources but I don't really see them funding a new season of a moderately successful series when they have Naruto….plus their own crappy shows and their crappy live action aspirations. But personally I would love to see the end of the Reverse Maruhage and the Hair Kingdom animated. (Shinsetsu...that's another story, rather just see their ending grafted on to the main series and just forget most of it ever happened)
-
So, did Denbo have a new voice actress in the last episode, or was it the same voice actress doing a different voice?
-
The ending made me so sad. =( I was almost teary eyed…
Why do all of the good shows get cancelled? ;.;
Although, it was cool when the characters said goodbye.
And when Dengaku man said it was the last episode at the end, even Hydrate was like "WHAAAAAA!?!?!?" D= -
So, did Denbo have a new voice actress in the last episode, or was it the same voice actress doing a different voice?
the chick who did her old voice probably bailed because it was pointless for her to continue to do a last episode I guess
"Behold the new and improved Denbo, with a new and better voice!" lol -

They wouldn't even have to graft on an ending. Just cut out the cliffhanger ending of the first part of the manga.
Let's just hope if they do renew it, they don't renew it for one more season and then leave us with a confusing-as-heck ending because they refused to renew it another 26 episodes like they had the option to. That's what they did to Big O…

The only thing they need to cut out is Tsurulina the Third stealing Bi-bibi's hair ball and Bo-bobo mentioning that. They could maybe have the "break-up" scene and then a bit of a time skip showing the Shinsetsu ending. (maybe with a special scene with Beauty meeting up with Heppokomaru and a few new scenes with the other characters not in the Shinsetsu ending.
-
It's so sad. They ended it at the worst part.

I wonder whats the other 2 animes that ended w/ a cliffhanger (by any chan ce was it Rave Master and Gash Bell and Fruits Basket)? Anyway, damn you Japan (wasn't there ever an anime that America cont. doing even when it ended in Japan)?

Gash didn't end with a cliffhanger: it had a special anime-only ending. It still sucks but its essentially complete as far as Toei sees it. (unless they decide to have OVAs for at least the real ending of Faudo)
As for Bo-bobo…that's incomplete.

Yeah, Kinnikuman (Ultimate Muscle), and it sucked because it was a 4kids continuation.
