Regarding chapter 179, a few things~
-Anya has a piss terrible temper, especially with that flying kick in the beggining of the chapter,
-Can be a total soft crybaby when fire catches on her so-called magic outfit~
-She apparently likes and has a taste for Asian cuisines.
-She still probably or maybe has that certain crush on Negi, while the two discuss mage business and as usual, 3-A, namely ones who are aware of magic, spy on them.
Pretty much, this was a good chapter,
The only really good thing this chapter was Anya…somehow I'm still a bit down after the previous chapter and the cliffhanger just begs for trouble. (she had to bathe with the two girls in the love triangle...just because their chests are small...)
I saw the first season on a channel named Colours, it was pretty awesome (unfortunately, they didn't air the 2nd season when the 1st finished).

That's probably because Colours only has licensed Funi anime. "Negima!?" (which isn't season 2 but more a strange, but fun alternate telling) hasn't been licensed as of yet.

Its not a movie, its a LA drama. Don't really like most of the looks of the girls outside a couple of them.
This week's chapter: I don't know if I should say Chiu is embarrased or lucky after the end of that. Poor kid.

It's official, Negima has become some crappy cash cow in terms outside the manga. First a crappy anime adaptation, then a ultra-crappy alternate anime with utter crappy randomness, and now this. Why cant they just give Negima a DECENT anime adaptation and leave it a that that? It doesn't really take a rocket scientist for whatever these guys in production besides Akamatsu himself are thinking 
Any manga with this many female characters is going to get whored.
It's inevitable.

Personally think the second series is underrated. Yeah it screws a whole lot of stuff but its an alt-universe with some gall. (and isn't afraid to use certain girls…unlike the manga, where we've got a widening divide between the uber girls and the "Muggles" of 3-A)

What was annoying was how they were used all the time. Ep. 19 was fun but I wished it was an OVA instead of eating up crucial continuity.
Besides, I rather have "Bakaranger/Chupa-hunter Asuna" and her Neo-Pactio over "Super Uber Asuna who only gets more uber thanks to an annoying DB-esque resort. Its her Negima!? rendition that made me not completely abandon the character altogether.
When will the live-act show starting to air?
Hope the magic battle scenes are great.

I think the first anime wasn´t that bad(ok, the animation was weird and the colors…even weirder, but they were pretty close to the manga in almost everything(yeah, they shortened Kyoto´s arc and added that filler arc at the end)...The second anime...it COULD have been awesome, if it wasn´t for the total absence of anything manga-related except for the first fight with Eva(and it was pretty different anyways :P). The animation is great(I love the falling scene on episode 14), but the plot...it´s even more random than Bobobo for me, and I´m a great BBB fan...
I also think that this live drama will suck hard, but... after watching a bit of GTO´s live movie, I think that the main point of live movies is to make you feel like you´re reading/watching the original... I mean, (live)Evangeline doesn´t look like Evangeline at all, but as long as she acts like her, as long as you can think "That´s Evangeline", you´ll be able to have a good time watching it...As long as it keeps the essence...

Indeed. I would like that some girls like Chizuru or Natsumi had more space in the manga storyline, instead supporting characters related with Kotaro. Though they did have some special moment during that Count Herrmann Arc.

As great as Chizu-ne is for fanservice (and I mean really great) and Natsumi would be fun joining Negi's group, I guess they aren't as "close" to him to find out and join the group. Maybe they'll be like Chao's group and find of magic and use some connection via Kotaro.
Personally I was sort of hoping that one of the sports girls (well mostly Yuuna or Akira, even though I love Ako too they would be the best in this situation) would end up somehow sneaking a badge during the badge game…but unfortunately my initial hunch of showing how "muggle" they are compared to the ubers who train or have been through Eva's resort was correct. Similarly, I want a Cheerleader story already, whether tied to magic or not! (personally want Sakurako since she's one of my favorites and I keep seeing hints but so far Akamatsu keeps making them minor)

Ako is part of their rock group so another story of them will be possibly, whether connected to the magic world or not. But yeah, I really want to see more of a spotlight in those girls, Akamatsu seems to be making their role rather minor.

Dekopin Rocket has the cheerleaders, but its mostly a means for Ako development. Personally can't stand how minor those three are practically all the time while nearly everyone else (outside the twins…and Zazie but we know she has a huge situation) has moments of development and Negi interaction. My greatest worry is that a final battle where nearly the whole class has to help against a massive threat while the cheerleaders...are just there cheering them on. That would be failure in my head.

By final battle, I'm guessing in terms of manga, we're still speculating the main and final enemy aren't we now. Well yeah, them cheering will simply suck, we need more development, in fact, I'm kind of hoping magical related because almost all of 3-A is already aware of magic but I have faith in Akamatsu he'll start to give the cheerleader trio more development that they're getting. It's just he's focusing on Anya at the moment along with some others but they'll get their shine. Also, let's not forget Zazie.

Forget about Zazie? Something tells me that when the Zazie arc begins, we're near the end of the series! (though I feel really stupid that it was her that first gave Negi a Mahora Festival ticket to the Nightmare Circus before anything else happened in the arc, then nothing was done with it and she spends the rest of the arc with her weird creatures)
I just want at least one cheerleader to get a development chapter or story, something away from the other two. Both Sakurako (my own hunches) and Madoka (see her interactions with Kotaro during the Ako arc) have potential but its up to him to do so. All I know is that when Wales start, we may not see those three again for a long, long time. (unless somehow one of them ends up in Wales/Magic Country without anyone knowing why)

Chizuru and Natsumi so far have no interest or idea whatsoever about Wales. They may or may not know, but they aren't magically powered or Negi-obsessed (or just interested in general) to join in either group so far. They may as well just wait at home…that is unless Kotaro has some reason or another to force them to come with.

! It seems Chisame's decided to tag along the trip, and seems the Plane has already left for Wales as well and everyone's off. Btw, loved Chisame's outfit in this chapter, this should all finally serve interesting in this future arc, many of our questions like Nagi's two other unknown comrades will be answered.

After that long, stupid training arc (filled with some fun chapters with Anya and the ones with "everyone else"), we're finally going to Wales! Sort of happy Chiu and Chacha are going but at the same time those who aren't in the class are, once again, thrown away for who knows how long. (yeah there's also the possibility of "Ayaka's group", but who knows who's going to be in it and I already know the cheerleaders will do nothing…again)
Indeed, the training arcs were always annoying. But I'm happy that Chisame will join the group.
Stuff on recent chapter~
-Negi and all or most of Class 3-A (Yes, also Ayaka's group) arrive in Wales.
-Negi and Nekane reunite, 3-A meets her as well.
-Negi meets up with his grandfather again who reveals a rather deadly secret…
-Leading him to an underground chamber, he finds the petrified bodies of all the villagers in his old village that was destroyed.
A few comments:
-After the snails pace of the Anya chapters, Akamatsu moved too quickly into England, up to Wales and directly towards the entry into Magic Country. If I were him, I would have cut back on the Anya chapters (like the fanservice chapter and the one in Eva's resort) and had at least one or two chapters of setup: one showing them arriving in London (mostly Ayaka's group), another showing the Nekane reunion, and then use this one with the Magic School's professor and the end.
-I'm getting more of a hunch that somehow Yuna may still be a bigger affect on this arc with how she and Negi recognized Donett McGuiness. The more she knows, the more the possibility she could be important in this arc grows.
-I'm extremely worried of the liability of Ayaka's group even being in Wales. While I do hope one or two of them sneak into the Magic Country group, I just wonder what will happen to the rest of them…there are just so many ways this can all screw up or be done right. (see Kyoto)

We don't know who the mains are going to be. If it comes to Negi in danger, I think what you mentioned about Ayaka and Makie would be out of the question for those two. I mean they find Negi precious so seriousness comes in depending on whether Negi is in danger and they find out.

Actually I'm more excited for another reason: Sakurako's luck abilities is finally used as a plot point! About time she proves her use to the group!

Agreed, pretty much a hilarious scene and yeah we're all not sure yet whether he's just here for a small appearance or major role in the arc. But him having a major role is somewhat a high chance.

Recently found Negima chapters on onemanga and caught up with the story.
I like the series (still like Love Hina better, though. Propably because I don't like the main character that much), but unfortunately the german version is horrible.
And to white-haired kid returning - I kinda saw it coming. I guess it all (or many things) comes together in the magic country.

He is an antagonist who was introduced in Kyoto Arc. His first appearance happens in vol. 5, although he only starts to act in vol. 6.

One of the chapters which all reminds us that Negima isn't just some kind of sappy average harem manga.

The chapter starts with Negi, collapsing from the impalement by that sharp weapon, vomiting and falling into a puddle of his own blood, resulting to Asuna's and everyone else's shock.

Then, it looks like Fate and his "revealed" forces decide to give some pwnzors on the Neo Crimson Wing. Though that sword style already seems to blalant, that is definitely Tsukuyomi with the swords.

Then the chapter ends with Negi socking Fate, well sort of, finally, with that "I'll ram your ass down!!" grit on your face, looks as if Negi's big fight is coming next chapter, which sadly, is on break next week.
After read the last chapters, I can say the Magic City's design seems to be pretty neat. I hope we can see more of it later in the arc. The climax is going great too.
The only really good scene in this chapter was watching Konoka get naked using her Pactio on Negi. Other than that (and the second real use of Setsuna's Pactio ability), it was just an alright action chapter. (though I still hope the swordsman is Tsukiyomi)
