Yeah, but those were like 2 minutes compared to the KABUTO-A-THON.
The Manda and Gama Bunta stuff didn't come until later, and CN replayed the last two episodes over again instead of getting to it.

Yeah, I kinda noticed they repeated two episodes, I knew I wasn't going crazy. I wonder why the hell they did that.
You'd think that A GIANT FACE-OFF BETWEEN THE THREE FAMED NINJA OF KONOHA would be something so awesome I'd be able remember every detail of. All that I can really recall is Tsunade talking about how it's pretty much impossible to kill her. Did he defeat Kabuto? I seriously forgot how that entire thing turned out.
No, really, I did.
Yeah, Naruto beat Kabuto with a Rasengan by letting himself get stabbed. But now that the excessive flashback and Kabuto are done, we get to the 2 on 1 battle.
Then after that, the infamous Rescue Arc (which I enjoyed alot, so sue me). Except for the Couji thing, although the fight was still awesome.
I wonder why the hell they did that.
In case somebody missed the exciting story-telling of Naruto.

Yeah, all I was able to remember was the awesome face off between the three giant monsters, which is probably why I thought this arc was enjoyable. I forgot all of the boring bullshit that preceded it.
The Rasengan, as far as I can tell, pretty much put Kabuto out of commission for that match. He was like "HA HA I'M SO AWESOME I FOCUSED MY CHAKRA AT THE POINT OF IMPACT AND NOW I'LL FULLY HEAL" and then "OH SHIT I WASN'T ABLE TO ABSORB ALL OF THE DAMAGE NNNRRRAAGGHHH I'M GAY" and collpased
ROFL , I like Carter's explanation of Kabuto vs Naruto much better.
As strange as it sounds, looking back at the old epis makes me miss having Orochi around, he used to be so hardcore. Kicking ass without the use of his arms. Not nearly as awesome as Ubogin kicking ass without the use of his body from the neck down tho.
Watching the dub on CN reminds me how much the animation sucks now. Or well, how bland it looks compared to part 1. (Well, it's been decent, but the characters hardly even move anymore) Ugh, and I promised myself I wouldn't become one of the people who bitched about shippuden. I'm hoping they don't ruin the Sasori fight. (Yes, it's one of my favorite fights in Naruto, yeah.)
Well I noticed another DBZ comparison to Naruto from watching the dub and remembering the Japanese version. Both Japanese and English Naruto sound like they're both overly constipated.
Heh and people thought that was only relative to DBZ characters. XD
A very unlucky person.

Having seen that part (for myself, not reading it off some Wiki or website), I realized how much I really, really hate medical ninjutsu in this series. You barely touch something and something vital is thrown out of wack. And you need another healing ninja who can heal said chakra thingamabobs in order to get better and heal it and can concentrate stuff to prevent other stuff from hurting you…well too badly. As for the arc...yeah, we get it, she misses Nawaki and Dan and fears blood...GET ON WITH IT! (and as for another weird dub thing...I will forever call Gamatatsu now "Mr. Hanky, the Christmas Toad")
well he just became the "Looser without friends" because of the kyubi…nobody knows what he would be without it...
Didn't the kids no know about kyuubi. They just hated him because he sucked and was annoying.
but then again, the flashbacks with him, shika, chouji and kiba being all buddy buddy skipping class and shit contradict all of that.
but it must be the anime carter. I watched that arc in japanese anime only and thought it sucked ass. Only part I liked was the debut of rasengan. Forgot pretty much everything else.

THAT'S who his voice reminded me of! I kept thinking where the hell have I heard this voice before.

Then again, there was never any indication that the bigger clans, with the possible exception of the Hyuuga, showed hatred for him. And as such, the children of those clans, (in this case: Nara, Akamichi, and Inazuka), would be friendlier than others. Honestly, that makes sense, seeing how the more prominent clans would probably be more accepting of Naruto due to the simple fact that the 4th literally entrusted him with his life.

Didn't they all call him a loser and looked down on him during his chuunin fight? I mean shika's team was ready to jump them because of him and sakura.
The kids hated him because their parents hatred supposedly passed on to them.
And the whole point of the 4th still being alive and Naruto being Kyuubiless is he'd have had a normal education and no need to fish for recognition by behaving like a fool since he'd have been the son of the village's most beloved figure.
Really it doesn't take a degree in nuclear physics to figure out Naruto would probably have been far better without fucked up demon fox sealed in his guts.

Good point, but during/after his fights with Kiba and Neji, they never really brought that back up, with the occaisional moments of someone calling him an idiot.
and weren't the 4 of them (Chouji, Shika, Kiba and Naruto) shown as best of friends in school
stupid weird flashbacks and holes

Oh yea, emotionally.
but he would have far less talent. I mean his chakra is only so large because it mixed with kyuubi. He'd be ordinary and not worth writing a story about.
When he failed to produce a bunshin for the final exam, I don't think he was trying to be funny BTW.
Well them being friends when they were really really young isn't that much of a stretch. You'd be suprised how much people change in a few years. Alot of the guys I used to hang out with around age 6 or so didn't even remember me by the time I was 12. And we've been going to the same schools all our lives.
Besides, it's not like Naruto and co. were together all the time. It seemed like just a one time thing when they skipped school and whatnot.
and weren't the 4 of them (Chouji, Shika, Kiba and Naruto) shown as best of friends in school

No, they weren't. Being held after class to be scolded by your teacher doesn't make you best friends. In the anime there was a scene with the four of them playing in a playground or something, but I think that was filler.
Oh yea, emotionally.

I thought the kyuubi also messed up his chakra control, so it at the same time hindered him.
As for having more chakra, you know, you should keep in mind everyone has some kind of edge. Look at Shikamaru, he's a "genius," so if he wasn't so lazy he could probably go further.

He wouldn't be ordinary he'd be the son of the fucking 4th Hokage.
And him being a loser has maybe slightly something to do with him being born without parents and being universally hated by the entire village, except if you think loserdom is genetical, which would be pretty fucking stupid.
Naruto would be a much better character without Kyuubi. He'd have to earn his way through the story.
Or just sit there and fail for all his effort, like Rock Lee.
I thought he sucked in the beginning because the fox chakra screwed up his own so that's why he couldn't do the basic things… Still it's weird that he couldn't even make a buushin yet in a couple hours he could make a kage buushin? It's probably that whole stamina thing but that's still a pretty big plot hole in and of itself since Naruto should be able to at least do the basic buushin before doing an advanced one.
That would be the equivalent to taking an advance class in school without even taking the regular class first.

What do you mean "earn?" What do you call all the blood, sweat and pain that Naruto goes through? The Kyuubi has been the only real edge for most of Naurto's life.
Gai taught Lee everything he knows, in other words he has the greatest tutor in the series.
Shino gained his powers from the bug clan.
Neji has his Hyuuga clan, though to his credit he learned Kaiten with only Tenten's help (hey, she did something!)
Even Sasuke has Sharingan, and for most of the series Kakashi taught him personally.
Really, what are people talking about when they act like Naruto has an unfair advantage? Yeah, the Kyuubi is the strongest force in the series, but Naruto also lacks a lot of the advantages that these other ninja have. Everyone owes their ability to some outside source. Without the Kyuubi, Naruto's whole "neglected kid storyline" falls apart, cause without the Kyuubi he'd pretty much be a normal kid who got a decent amount of attention from his students to get ahead in life. That's a pretty mediocre story so far.
In my ideal Naruto story Naruto gets magical orbs implanted in his body, dyes his hair red to look like Lion O and gets a soul eating sword he uses to cut the entire cast into tiny bits starting by Sakura.
Now that's something I'd pay to read.
so you want to drop Gain into Naruto have him kill Naruto and then proceed to bloodbath
(oh that scene in your sig is made of about 80 different kinds of win)
Soul-eating swords are my favourites.

Everytime I get annoyed by Naruto and his shitty friends (which is roughly always the case) I picture Gain tearing shit up in their pansy universe… And my soul is at peace again.

I smell another doujin. Magical orbs?
EDIT: Personally, I think Naruto should change his goal to world domination. He seems like he'd make a much better villian (even tho I still like the original tho)
i think naruto would be a better char if he has a better goal…being a hokage isnt much of a goal considering that everyone respects him and kages get kidnap quite easily

It's not, I just don't think parents influence talent. Naruto would have been happy, but not a better ninja. He may have been worse off with no motivation to get better.
I mean thats like saying konohamaru pwns nigras because hes the grandson of the fucking 3rd hokage. Which isn't true at all. He just tried to kill his grandfather in the most retarded ways.
Really tho, I can't see how that makes sense to you.
I will argree, Naruto is a "pansy universe," considering that this is a series about ninja's trying to get in touch with their feelings. It's the Pokemon of ninja, and the latest element chart proves it.

Well, Narutp would have if either the 4th was there to raise him, or passed down some sort of ninja bloodline like every other ninja in the village. I mean, even Ino has a passed down technique.
The series' length and popularity is comparable to that of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball, another popular action-oriented shōnen manga.
I LOL'd when I read that… Well that seriously convinces me that wikipedia is nothing but rampant opinions. Shame though.
I smell another doujin. Magical orbs?
The guy in my av has some weird metal spheres implanted in his arms, torso and legs that create an immaterial armor cancelling all physical attacks with a 70% probability of success. He also has a demon sword that eat the souls of the people it killed. And he's a mean motherfucker.
Gain vs Sasuke… Please someone make it happen somehow.
why it'd be one page and Sasuke lacking in limbs head and torso
Nah obviously a doujin should be made where Naruto just pwns everyone but then it turns out to be a dream…

Hmm..Evil Naruto, now that's an interesting idea. Evil Naruto and Jiraiya would certainly be more interesting than Orochimaru and Sasuke. And the thing is, he would have the power and the motive. Boom, Konoha is rubble.
why it'd be one page and Sasuke lacking in limbs head and torso
Once he sees Sauce is no danger he'll make it last.
ARLONGPARK BATTLEDOME
Because I want this kind of surge in nerdiness to be kept into this God forsaken thread without it spreading into other parts of the forum. I care about the well being of my fello AP posters.
Oh and because Psolaras is a retard.

"Blah blah blah…"
Naruto doesn't earn shit. All of his greatest accomplishments are because of Kyuubi. Sure, he works hard, but so do a lot of other characters, yet they don't achieve the same things. Why? They don't have Kyuubi.
Most of the abilities in Naruto are gained through birth, which is why it's lame. Sharingan? Born with it. Kyuubi? Born with it [essentially]. They didn't work for these broken abilities - it was given to them.
Yeah, but unlike everyone else, his "birthright" made his life crap. Unless I'm mistaken, Naruto had to learn everything about being a shinobi by himself. No prestegious clan to hand him everything on a silver platter, nobody to teach him a thing, etc. Sure, Naruto's power may stem from the Kyuubi, but how would he be able to use that power as a ninja without knowing the first thing about being a ninja? Hell, that brings up a good reason on why Naruto's skills are lacking, he was self-taught for a good portion of his life.

So, does suffering count for anything? Cause I'd think a guy who got stabbed through the hand in battle and risked his life deserves a little more then a guy who kicked a tree 1000 times.
That and, while I agree that the birth rights are lame–damn near everyone has one. Many of the ninja in Naruto have an edge that the Kyuubi alone can't own (except Haku's I guess). Naruto used a good trick to beat Neji. Gaara had his own demon, it was Naruto's learning of the summoning that let him win. In the Kabuto fight the Kyuubi was hardly there. In the Sasuke fight...well...the sharingan is just as overpowered as the Kyuubi, in fact the lately it's all around better.
Edit: Crap, as usual supalugi said it better then me.

None of that changes the fact that, without Kyuubi, he wouldn't be where he was today. Without Kyuubi, he would have lost to Neji a long time ago.
It's hard to follow Naruto's "struggle" when he's born with such an amazing source of power.
not true without it he'd have graduated in the correct year and been leauges ahead of the others
