@WHITEBEARD:
The point of your question?
I dont see how its going to fix anything.
The powers are equal.
If the Yonkou are the 4 most powerful pirates in the one piece world, why does 7 other pirates equal them?????
Answer they are not the 4 most powerful pirates in the world of One piece.
trying to say Shanks is above Hawkeye's b/c she a Yonkou is trash at it's best.
BB gash Shanks they fought and that a soon to be Shichbukai.
Hawkeye's is a Shichbukai that Shanks equals.
saying Shanks is stronger b/c hes a yonkou is not a strong argument.
you're just running around the subject and saying how can yonkou be more powerful if 4 = 7. this is your assumption. and i wasn't saying Shanks is stronger, i actually think they're equal, though it's easy to think Shanks is actually stronger.
i've accepted both credible translations (stephen's and null's) along with the japanese text. your only debate is stephen's translation. are you saying stephen's translation is the only accurate translation?
@Le Lawliet - i originally thought about the three powers as all equal, b/c we're told that the MH = SB, but when you think about a balance such as this, it isn't delicate if it's really MH = SB = YK. If a particular power were to low a member (say the shichibukai), there shouldn't be a big concern from the WG. The shichibukai are just pirates, if they lose one, who cares. the marines should still be capable of sustaining MH = YK and shouldn't be concerned about the balance. however, if the shichibukai are a method for the WG to create the balance they need, then this makes more sense. This is when I started thinking YK = MH + SB. This is later confirmed with Garp's talk w/ Luffy.
Btw, this isn't just a theory i'm using as some think i'm just using speculation. Null's choice of words reflect exactly this. Stephen's does as well. I would say it's up to interpretation if the actual japanese didn't use a word that means (both/side-by-side/equal to) in correlation with the MH and SB.
