She could very well live until the age of an old lady. Or not. It depends on how she takes that Light's dead.

All I remember about Misa's age was that she is surprisingly older than Light.
-
ah, so she's not 17 then.
Apparently, Death God says she's 19.
-
@yokaiforte:

There's a high chance that Misa would commit suicide, and also a high chance that she would live on in honor of Light.
Hahaha, it never clicked in Gohn's head that Misa would be older than Light if she was nineteen or so. S'pretty crazy, but not surprising. Misa is quite intelligent.
-
O, and L's birthday is Halloween. And he was 24. and died on Zoro's birthday.
I personally think that Misa would commit suicide. Course, seeing as how Near has her stuck there, I'd think he'd have some people keep an eye on her.

I forget who said it. I think the writer, not the artist, said that Matsuda probably let the news of what happened to Light slip and that she would fall into despair and commit suicide.
Mystery solved.
-
Now that you mention it, I do recall something like that. Just…. can't remember where.
-
It was in How to Read 13.
-
Ah, that's right.
Poor Misa, forget even 30.
-
Wow, really? Well, if she wishes to end her life, then that is acceptable. Suicide is not a sign of weakness.
-
Yeah. I wonder… how many years Rem had left in her...
-
Hey, does the data book state the height of Light, L, and Misa? Was always curious about their physical attributes.
-
Death God has that. except for L.
-
@yokaiforte:
Death God has that. except for L.
I posted L's profile from How to Read 13 on the main page. Hopefully, Shaza will see it and put the info on that page.
-
@yokaiforte:
Death God has that. except for L.
Light is fairly tall for a Japanese; a little less than 5'11". Misa is short as hell.
-
L is 179 cm, 50 kg.
That's surprisingly around my stats…
edit: nevermind... hehe..
-
Light and L are the same height, then.
Cyringohn is 175 cm. Not tall, but not short.
-
actually, I don't understand why L is even a bother? he mainly got outsmarted by Light…........ I would say he was cannon folder character..... only he managed to dodge the cannon long enough.....
-
Without L, there is no Near or Mello. In fact, I still think the second arc was Light vs. L. Mello and Near merely wanted to do what L couldn't, while Light always had L in the back of his mind(How would L do this? How much like L are Near and Mello?). Not to mention, if L never gathed those detectives to stop Kira, I think Near would have lost a lot of his evidence against Light.
-
still think L is just cannon folder…... lol
anyway, you are right though....... without L, maybe Kira would have taken over the world...or killed it off.......
-
L Cannon fodder? O please…
besides the fact that without him there wouldn't be Near or Mello, or that Light might kill off the world, He is the one to orchestrate the investigation to its fullest potential, and only got outsmarted because Light had the Death Note and made use of its special abilities (designation of time and type of death; fake rules, etc.). I strongly hold my beliefs that if L lived longer, he would've defeated Light after testing the Death Note.
-
still, that is call being "out-smarted"…... the whole thing of putting the fake rules is to "out-smart" people....... like L.......
Light has a huge advantage over L in the first place, even if L were to test out the Death Note, I believe he still would have not be able to beat Light before Light blow him away with the Death Note.....
-
L basically had Light beat by the end of volume 4. Light only won due to his massive plan which could have gone wrong in so many ways.
-
Exactly my point. Even if he was outsmarted doesn't mean he's fodder.
Now Sai from Naruto, he's cannon fodder.
Fodder's basically a character that's put in a story and quickly written out. Like Sai hasn't appeared in forever. Or Dosu. They don't play that much of the overall story.
-

Light more than made up for that with his plan against Near. Damn, that plan was perfect. Mikami just had to ruin it, though.
-
Indeed, I find that to be an ironic "twisted moral" of the story. Light lost because he trusted someone.

Yes.
Matsuda's theory in the final chapter is heavily interesting. Near using the Death Note and all.

Awesome! Thanks Ocean!
-
ocean, your omnipotence possesses no limits.
-
mm… yeah... any word on that novelization by Ishin Nishio? Like if it's gonna be translated or not?
-
Not yet. Of course, we do know that Viz has released quite a few novels recently, and they have stated in ASJ how popular Death Note is.
-
Off Topic: Speaking of novels, somebody needs to translate the damn Guilty Gear novels into English.
-
http://www.kefi.org/forum/index.php?topic=841.0
I gave up D: Too much other scanlations to translate x.X
-
So what exactly is the novel like? Is it a retelling of Death Note or is it like a set collection of stories? Cause that trans doesn't look like anything from death note I've seen.
-
The novel is the story of the case that L and Naomi Misori worked together on. Actually, I just remembered that DeathGod has a very detailed summary here: http://www.deathgod.org/main.php?x=info/novel1

death note in a nutshell

Oh man the ending was just so funny XD. HAHAHA. -
http://www.deathgod.org/main.php?x=info/interview4
Shaza posted the full Ohba/Obata interview from How to Read 13.
-
I LOL'd at this right here:
Obata: No, not at all. laughs So after we came back from hiatus, I had a hard time with directing the assistants. Like for the background, the only instructions I could really give were, "American," "more American!"….
-
I have a question, I want to buy the vol. 13 thing, but unfortunately the page to this link : http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/4089080533/sr=8-2/qid=1160839655/ref=sr_1_2/250-8960007-6412211?ie=UTF8&s=books is in Japanese which means I cant read it, which also means….I cant buy it.
Is there like an english page version of it? Or is it only in Japanese?
Also, does anyone think that Viz will be realeasing this vol. 13 thing? Because it would be a little pointless to buy it now, if they will probably release it later. But I wouldnt know, I am not good at predicting things.

Where did you find "grown-up" Near?
-
@Impel:
Where did you find "grown-up" Near?
That's what I wanna know. You'd figure it'd be up everywhere.
-
"Grown up Near" is from a Death Note one-shot featured in this weeks Jump. It's basically what happened 3 years after Light died. Link for raw here.
-
That was a good one shot honestly, though whoever's the so called next "Kira", by looking at his desk, he seems like some otaku for some reason, with all those figures…
Those Kira nuts are still at it...
and that Shinigami looked hilarious.
