Brachiosaurus Queen - Episode 944
One Piece Episode 945 PreviewBIGGU MAMMUUUUU!! Instantly makes both manga and anime less boring.
Very fun episode. Snappy. No complaints!
It was a really average episode.
The material at work here was presented well enough to make the episode passable. Hosoda's always been your middle of the road episode director whose episodes aren't bad, but aren't great either. His work is mostly alright with some sprinkles of quality here and there. However in this episode I felt like his output was as rudimentary as it got and did the bare minimum from both a storyboarding and direction standpoint.
The episode from a visual perspective was well polished enough with the animation being mostly fine. Imo Big Mom smashing Queen's head in the ground felt a little bit lackluster however.
Kenji Yokoyama's art though continues to remain as solid as ever since this arc began.
In summary, nothing to write home about.
Queen looks even more like Kaku with that yellow… also dual swords, zoro vs queen confirmed?
Was looking forward to the Queen Mom stuff since I read the manga chapters.
Excellent episode. Not sure i like Queen being yellowish in colour. I'd have hoped he would be darkish green - but still, nice transformation.
They must’ve said “red bean soup” in this episode as many times as Yasuie was shot a few episodes ago. And I think I can confidently say that one or two of the staff artists don’t know how to draw anything except extreme close-ups of Queen.
All that snark to say I was not a fan of this episode, and I’m extremely tired of the heavy focus on close-ups.

Fully agreed. Art, animation, and storyboarding was incredibly bland and just nearly serviceable. So disappointing when they flub the best parts of the arc.
Episode was below decent, so I would say it was "fine".
Part of the appeal of this, manga-wise, was Big Mom's entrance was terrifying due to the art, and her body slam against Queen was much more impactful in the manga.
This is far from being the best part of Wano or anything, so I'm not really miffed. I just consider the Big Mom vs Queen stuff fun content that's not too vital to the arc, popcorn entertainment basically.
Next episode should be a lot better and action-packed.
