Sabo is so difficult. I can't even clear the 40 stamina although that's probably because I have no good cerebral, fighter or shooter teams or units with decent skill ups, and I'm terrible at the game. I want to get at least 1 copy so I'm just going to have to hope he drops on 30 stamina.

I'm at 10 sabos… mostly fighter on my slow as hell run. I did get another team to work for shooter, but again, I need kizaru friends (max this time) and I don't have them. I'm gonna try with a raid kizaru cap and a sub magellan tomorrow, to see if I can beat him on INT magellan poison

Just thought of a new Shooter team that might work built around the Raizou I pulled during last Sugo.
Ace Ship
Friend Kizaru - Raizou (2.5 boost + TND/RCV matching AND 3 free slot swaps for at least 5 matching orbs), then Raid Boa and Van Auger, followed by Zephyr and Anniversay Ace as an Int hard hitter. His special could even be used on stage 4 to make it faster because there wont be a delay.
Just tested it on 40 stamina and got 2.7million damage into Sabo's face even though I missed one tap in the chain, so it should be even more. Since you have two turns, it might even work. Hmmm -

I only succeeded with that once when I gemmed on stage 4 to see if it would theoretically work. But with Ace and Raid Kizaru as captains (i.e. ~40k hP) and GPU, Boa and Perona to avoid too much damage it was easy to stall those 9 turns. I dont think that its possible to reach the last stage with full HP under normal circumstances though. X)

they are RR in japan, and they are good so there is probably gonna be a sugo or 2. this event last what? 2 weeks? how can they fit 2 sugos on that tiimeframe?

Got another 1/5 on Sabo, so he is maxed now (compare that to how freaking long it took me to finish raid Sabos skill -.-). Also got the first two AH sockets.
Also 1/1 on legend Marco using the almighty manual. -

Finally managed to get sabo after 30 runs of 30 stamina. I really need to work on my other teams and stop relying on law v2 for everything.
Did a single on jp and got legend Jinbe. Suddenly went from not caring what his 6+ is to afraid that he'll get Sengoku'd.

I got the 20 neo sabo fighter reward… wich is kinda sad, since I had more than 20 (30 I believe) copies of him , and the amount of skill ups that I got.... well

Any worthwhile unit in the new Boa batch? Since there's no guaranteed gold I'll probably save gems, but I was curious.
EDIT: just saw on Reddit. Marigold and Sandersonia are a nice combo but I have most of the not-new boosted units, so… nothing here

Really tempted to pull for the 2 boa sisters. Even just having Sandersonia would make my striker team ridiculous since I managed to get Kanjuro, but with the anniversery right around the corner I'm not so sure. At most I'll only do one multi if I do pull.

This "Skill Up" is killing me; pretty consistently less than a 20% success rate on everything I do with a ton of 0-fors. That sort of thing removes any interest in doing raids or anything like that; at least farming skillbooks that don't level up skills still gives me a ton of EXP right now.

I'm repeating what I've said a few weeks back. Because of the bad skill-up rate (I used to get a lot of 0/5s) I've started to only feed two books or copies at a time, because you're just as likely to get 1/2 as you are to get 1/5. I feel like it has improved my success rate.
Although, to be honest, TS Brook is the first one who's given me a lot of 0/2s (like 4 times in a row), but still, I already got two 1/2s. So I really think this is a nice way to go. -

I had to work yesterday and I Just farmwd 3 sabos , fed them and got 2/3 !! He is at 16 now, wit average sockets (only 1 ah) . He is usable I think

Well, I just did it again with 4 Bellamy copies. Got 2/4 by going 1/2 and 1/2. I bet, if I had fed all 4 copies at once, it would have come 1/4, but never 2/4.

it's rng..you can even get a 5/5 if luck is on your side
recently i had the 8 almighty books we got from neo sabo (the general almighty one and the 7 fighter specific ones) give me an astonishing 5/8 on my ts luffy, managing to max him even without using the guaranteed one..but one week ago i had hell to go through to max legend akainu,with a lot of 0/5
it doesn't matter how many you feed,the chance is always gonna be 1/5 for every skillbook

^^but the fact is that feeding 2 books or feeding 5 books have NOT the same chance to fail or success. it would make no sense if it were the case,both with normal rates and if you think namco plays dirty.
but if you feel it's more rewarding this way, more power to you.

After a burst at the start, I have been feeding books as I get them so it's been most sets of two and the occasional batch of four.
Doing that, I'm 2/12 on the day over a bunch of characters.

I'm trying to farm Hannyabal's FN to socket his RR, but it's really, really annoying. Not the stage itself, but the rewards: few manuals, even few Hannyabal copies, lots of green baby turtles and red pigs but not the opposite…

Please judge me. I did 4 fighters and 1 shooter (as always) and got 5 more sabos, 1 skill up. one away from max. sooo….. I used the golden fighter book from fighter reward on him and maxed him. he is only missing 2 CD sockets now, wich I'm not even sure if I will keep them (might go with DR)

Eh, it's your book, use it however you like. I still have the three from the admirals, but all my legends are maxed so I don't know if it's worth using them on one of the recent units without manuals…

even if you consider namco playing dirty,it doesn't make any sense for them to reward you for using less books..if anything they should do the opposite -
I didn't realize this before but ray announces which tome he'll drop so you can quit and restart the quest to get the one you need. Everybody has probably been doing this already but it makes a big difference so i thought i mention it just in case.

Then you can watch the captains dupe that confounded turtle instead.

Lol, so true. Plus first time, I did this I had to restart the quest 6 times by which time I was out of buggy friends and had to risk not even getting the turtle.

But trust me there will come a time where you will get 5x 0/2 in a row, in the end it really is just RNG as you mentioned yourself.
Just recently on Japan I went 4/5 two times in a row on Raid Caesar while feeding five, but then going 0/14 on silver universalbooks while feeding two at a time.I'm happy to you that you're on a good streak on Global but unfortunately this won't hold up forever :D except your blessed with luck forever

Did one pull and got Marigold. Really tempted to do a multi for Sandersonia but I think I'll hold off for something better since it doesn't sound like rates are very great.
Was able to beat both Marco and Ideo colo's with v2 Law teams, so I'll probably dump all my stam into Ideo this weekend.
Japan has a lot of cool events coming up but I'm not really looking forward to the new treasure map, hopefully they tweaked some things..

Eh? Part 2 with Zoro/Nami/Sanji/Chopper/Brook had all gold on first 2 multi, and guaranteed red on 3rd/5th bonus poster. I remember that sugo well because while it technically didn't have any rate ups it was really amazing for red posters and newer batch units - I ended up getting 5 reds plus a ton of other good stuff.

The miracle has finally happened… the next long event will add Permanent Skillup increase and the daily quests will always be available. Also
- Movie raids and Colos for a limited time
- Chopperman missions to get Story Oars, Magellan, Hody and Caesar (which means Punk Hazard will arrive during the event)
- 3 daily random hime turtles and 2 meats
- That 20th anni Strawhat island with increasing difficulty

Wow, that's a really great event. So many things to look forward to and finally finally improved skill up rates and no more need to hoard baby sea horses.
