Please author, for the love of all that is holy, show us Rindou's cooking. I've been waiting for her to show her stuff for so long, please deliver.

Holy shit. Love the double spread of Central coming out. Can't wait for this battle to start, even though the rebels will lose 3-0
Man sure can help but wonder if Rindou isn't a vampire.
The only one I can see having a slight chance of victory is Subaru, because he's a copycat master, afterall.

Her gimmick is probably be able to cook every kind of food she eats like a vampire stealing someone else's blood.
Yah, this matchup screams sweeping victory for central.
Megishima has something personal with Rindou, because as soon as she asked for an opponent he jumped straight into her challenge, with a visibly pissed off look.

Might just be a simple rivalry between the third and second seats.
So Kuga's lost. Shonen Law and all.
So Kuga's lost. Shonen Law and all.
And Megishima's lost… if Rindou is gonna duel Erina.
I'm most excited to see Subaru vs. Sword Guy tbh
I always liked Mimisaka's shenanigans so it'll be fun to see
Yeah, Crocodile. Oh yeah!

Doubt it would happen, but it would be interesting that the first seat goes and helps the other two completely ignoring Kuga.
Allow me to write down what's going on through that alligator's mind right now:
"HAAAAAAAAALP".
Nos it's a fact. Rindou is a vampire who grows her fangs when excited!!
Metal guy knows all the shonen laws, so correct this:
Shonen law says the first rival to get time screen is the one to get defeated. But… with that cute flashback, now I have the impression Kuga can beat Sukaza...
we Shokugator no Soma now?
From the looks of it, Tsukasa was first seat while he was a 2nd year.
I can already picture Rindou cruely processing the poor alligator next chapter! The poor thing is gonna get sliced & diced mercilessly xD
Hyped for Rindou's cooking as well as I still think she will represent somewhat of an antithesis to Tsubasa's calm, collected and superior attitude during cooking. She'll be chaos, creativity and even more chaos, probably with a touch of primal ferocity on top. I basically view her as being some sort of angry/eager Soma during cooking :) Also excited to see the third seat in action, since we really don't know anything about him due to him not really interacting with anyone so far in the story.
Notice me Senpai: The Manga Chapter.

Now I want to see Rindou and Soma have a Shokugeki with the theme being the weirdest ingredient they can find.
Loved the Rindou exposition, definitely best girl.
Rindou, the girl of many faces. Loved this chapter all because of her antics and seeing her in various lights, especially going from menacing holding the alligator to dropping it and being confused. If it wasn't proven before, she is indeed the best character of the Elite ten hands down.
On a different note, the way the top two are being presented, I don't like the idea of how they will be taken out in this arc. These two are shown to be monsters, and we are supposed to believe that they will be taken down by first years who don't have nearly as much experience as them. If there weren't these crazy stakes it would've been interesting to see Soma and company get knocked down a number of notches, but alas we won't get that.
As if there was a doubt who is the most interesting of the elite ten, Rindou has just proved in this chapter how much of a beast she is. This match will be thrilling.

At this point it should be obvious, that if they are going to beat them it won't be through their cooking experience alone, because that would signify total defeat, and I'm not kidding.
The factor that is going to play vital in this battle is going to be "luck". To exploit your opponents weaknesses and turn it all against them. To be wary of every move they make and proceed accordingly. And to use all that acquired knowledge into making the best dish you come up with. If all these three conditions are fullfilled, a novice with enough experience can even beat a pro.
So, Rindou is similar to Joichirou who like to travel around the world & incorporate what they discover in their cooking…in addition to their other similarities...
Either the author is trolling us or they are really related...
At least the gator death is less violent than the turtle.

Perhaps if execute correctly I could buy it, but as far as cooking matches go I'm not sure how useful it will be. Soma did win based on luck that his opponent did not understand that Soba would be different in the environmental conditions of the arena. However, she was only the 7th seat and that was a mistake on her part. I feel like the third years who seem to be on a whole different league would not make a mistake like that which then I don't know how the others could overcome their opponents. The only thing that could happen that might work is the idea of the whole competition, which is supposed to be the team work aspect. In the match they beat them the team works together using each individual strength to enhance the dish to make it the best. Once again, it all depends on how things turn out at the end.
On the team work note, when will we actually see that aspect of the competition? There was a whole training session devoted to that aspect, and we aren't getting any of that.

I was thinking about that, and in fact, I think the final match is going to have Soma and Erina teaming up against Rindou and Tsukasa. We're also going to see Takumi and Megumi showing the results of their teamwork with Dojima pretty soon, I'm sure of that.
And I'm not saying that out of a whim. If there's only one believable way they could beat the strongest of the elite, is through that. Going 1 vs 1 up like they have been doing till now is only going to end up badly for the rebels, and this second bout is going to show them why.
…and she has clawns instead of toes. :wassat:
Who is best girl now, beyatches?!
I'm most interested in why Rindou is team Asami, this chapter just made it seem like she should be team Gramps all the way if she's into new flavours and dishes
When this is over Soma should give the Yukihira Special to Rindou.

She voted Azami for shits and giggles. Though that reminds me, Tsukasa was reallly surprised when Rindou did that move… until she told him why.
I fully expect Rindou to have a role in the defeat of Central, because of her quirky nature and interest in Souma and co. I also expect all three current Central members to win, showcasing that the rebels have to use teamwork to win, thus the teamwork being introduced in the bout after this one.

What chapter was that?

135, If I remember right. It's accompained with a full page spread of Rindou doing her first vampire-like face.

Thanks. I reread the chapter, and it's when the E10 chooses Azami over Sensaemon. But no panel about Rindou giving her reason to vote Azami. Wikia says it's because she wanted something exciting to happen. Looking for that other chapter.

134 is what you're looking for.
Season 3 is coming this Fall
I actually want to see the Coalescence of Creepy Cookery so I hope Rindou turns sides soon enough

Good things come to those who are patient.
This should have happened in the correct order. I wonder if the manga was trully in danger back then.
Anne keeps delivering the hilarity, gotta love this woman.
Hope the soma/3rd seat flashback is good first time in a while where I feel a bit curious and excited again. Character moments with all the focus on cooking have been too sparse for my tastes.
So this is about how to make the most of ultra spicy chili sauce… I'd like it Megishima defeats Rindou.
That was some nice flavor beatdown.
Can we get to Mimikasa next time?
Spoilers for 223:
! Kuga vs Tsukasa, Mimisaka was helping Kuga helping prepare the tea leaves for his dish. So for those who wanted team work: it's starting to show.
Ha!! Told ya it was just a matter of time.
Damnit Mimasaka!

One of Kuga's bowls is a strawhat. How cheeky.
