Going for a 100% of La-Mulana run over Twitch. I might schedule this for Tuesday nights at 9PM EST, with an assumed duration of 2-3 hours. Maybe and hour if I'm tired from work.
Starting a stream in a few minutes, so come hang if you want.

I downloaded OBS, I got a scene working, not sure how to optimize though. I wanted to do mainly blind runs. I have over 200 games, so mainly just complete that. I can give a small list if you guys would like to see anything specific. If anyone could help me finish setting up, I would start streaming this week. I have, obviously, never done it before, so…expect nothing jajalululu. Thanks in advance! I'll follow the regular streamers in the front page.
If I manage to keep whatever sort of routine for end of year, I would not mind putting my info on OP, but for now, let us see what happens.

What kind of optimization are you looking for?

I actually have no clue of what I am talking about jajaja. I was thinking, help with framerate? Sound sources? I downloaded the software today, I just tried testing it out, but I am not sure how to connect it with twich. So more than optimization, setting up? Or what would you categorize as optimization and what would you recommend for your suggestions, if any.

Update:
I managed to connect to twitch, but a friend told me it was very choppy and I was playing Kingdom Rush. Should I:
1. switch to my desktop (even though my laptop should be the better computer)
2. fiddle with the settings?
3. something else?
Thanks for the help!

Have your frame rate set to 30. Anything over that isn't necessary for Twitch, unless you become a partner channel.Test your internet connection with Speedtest. You'll need to convert your number to kilobits, so if it's 5 Mbps, that's 5000 Kbps. A rule of thumb is to usually take 80% of that, but that's too high for Twitch, since people will rarely be able to watch your stream at such a bitrate. 2500 is the max you should broadcast at.In terms of video, you'll want to broadcast at 720p. You can actually downscale 1080p to 720p in the video settings, so do it there for a better result.

The choppiness is probably due to bitrate. Or high cpu usage. If OBS warned you about high cpu usage, then there are some other settings you can fiddle with. Let me know if the stuff above helps at all though.

It did, I streamed for 30 minutes, and saved a video. It seems okayish. It does help, I'll make the tweaks you suggested now, the ones before helped a lot. I might do a couple of test runs, I might stream tonight or tomorrow. Around 10-11pm tomorrow. What is the general rule of thumb for what you can, and cannot stream. I saw a list of banned games (I did search, but just want to double check) For example, would there be any issue streaming Super Mario RPG Armageddon?

Resuming this stream in a bit :3

Great stuff, I had to go, and when I got back you were done, see you next time. Watched Wagomu's stream too. I also managed to stream for 1 person. They told me the video was a bit sluggish, but audio seems fine. I was using Game capture, is Monitor capture better for a more fluid screen. I reduced the bit rate to 2500, 30 FPS and base resolution is at 1280 x 720. Thanks for all your help, hopefully I can get it more fluid next time. I don't think my chat plug in was working. I would say first day was pretty good though. I will stream tomorrow at around 1800 or 2100. Here is the link: https://www.twitch.tv/kkiraxxiii/ Content Type: Blind runs, game completion/let's play type of deal. I found the OBS estimator and it says that my bitrate should be at 3500, should I follow these instructions?
Starting a stream for Valdis Story, come hang! https://www.twitch.tv/kkiraxxiii/ I am sorry about the double post!, What would be the best way to announce? Or is it okay~ in the context of this thread.
I have been streaming my game of Final Fantasy 5 that I'm doing for the Four Job Fiesta. No real schedule, just when I feel like it. https://www.twitch.tv/serrabritt/

Resuming again tonight. Sorry for being an hour or so late, but had a rough shift.
Uploaded some new videos to my YouTube channel:
It's been a while since I've been on AP, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to post my channel.
Currently streaming a blind playthrough of Furi here: https://www.twitch.tv/vobooth
Haven't advertised here in a while. Been doing alot of streams lately. If you are intested in watching a blind play of Hollow Knight, come on in!
No real schedule for this. I tend to stream whenever, and learning to highlight my vods if I find them decent enough.
I will be streaming Risk of Rain artifact runs for around 2 hours if anyone wants to join. I am not sure of a schedule, I will make sure to update. Cheers

Look at that, I decided to stream, and managed to beat for the first time my artifact run. Good times. I'll make a schedule.

Hey guys, I decided to try out streaming and see if I enjoy it and started doing a blind playthrough of Sonic Mania. I'll try streaming later again today so come join me if you're interested and all feedback and criticism is appreciated,: https://www.twitch.tv/razgrizxyz
Be warned though, I'm quite new at this and will possibly experience tecnical issues(I think my first stream had no issues at least) and I have a stupid accent/my voice just sounds rough in general cause I'm a bit sick

ooo, I'll try to check that out. I actually just started streaming Sonic Mania as well… not blind, but just got the game after playing it and wanting to support it with moneys and the like.
And your voice seems fine from the bit I've seen. Went ahead and followed in case I'm not doing anything when you stream later.
Well, I started streaming my video game music playlist project on Twitch (I don't play games, I just listen to music). Come and chat with me about the music being played on stream or random stuffs, if you are interested. Any feedback is appreciated.
I'll probably be streaming every day from around 3 PM-9 PM. Granted there isn't much happening, but I guess its a start.
