@Devilfruitgrower:
You think Driving in Cali Sucks? Try Chicago. I was going to a cubs game on Monday night. Lake Shore Drive was Backed up for like, 4 miles All because of one minor Accident.
Plus. the main Highway, The Dan Ryan is and has been under construction for over 4 years with no end in sight. We have atleast 3 accidents every MORNING on that highway. Thank god for the Metra
Chicago is nothing, lol. We have traffic WITHOUT any accident. When it's time to go work + go home (for normal people), it's like a hell. I'm glad I can work off-times.
4 years? Heh :P One of the freeways we have here (Fwy 87) has been under construction ever since I stepped onto the land of USA (1997, so it was probably doing the construction before that, too), and FINALLY finished major construction last year or so. I think they are still doing minor touchups here and there :x That's like almost 10 years.
ocean, how can such a dencly(sp) populated area not have good public transit. It's a nessesaty. Toronto's transit always has budget problems, but I wouldn't say it's transit sucks.
Hee hee. I think it happens because as much as it is heavily populated area here, we also spread out. It's not that surprising to drive 1 hour (without traffic) for the commute… Imagine taking public transportation for that... It'll probably take much longer...?
One funny thing about California is... we freak out when it rains, lol. I think the road is not made for rainy-weather, so it gets too slippery to drive. I did slip several times, too. So when it rains (like earlier this year), people drive really slow. We usually drive around 80mph, but when it rains, I think we drive around 40mph... :x At least in San Jose.
Hey... we marked 104 degree in my house, too :P Luckily it was only for less than a week :P
