Yeah, that's just how frustrated I am. I don't think I've ever outright hated any social networking service as much as I hate GoogleTube.
Alright, let me explain my frustration:
within the next two months or so I'll have everything I'll need to at last be able to stream games for the enjoyment of both myself and others here on AP Forums and the IRC chat. I've set up a Twitch account for the future streams, and a YouTube account for where my streamed videos will eventually be archived and uploaded to. And it's the YouTube account that is really pissing me off.
I've been designing the Banner or "Channel Art" with my own touch of originality, but attempting to upload what I created has been a nightmare. The original dimensions of my Banner is 1114 x 332. According to YouTube, that size is FAR too small, and the minimum size limit is 2048 x 1152! I resized my image to the dimensions specified, but the result is that 2/3rds of the Banner has been cropped and is omitted. I've looked at the Banner dimensions on other channels (like this one), and it says the dimensions are 1060 x 175, smaller than my original banner size, which itself was rejected for being far too small! I used numerous online image re-sizing websites, but Nothing I worked with helped to fit the entirety of my banner neatly within YouTube's parameters, and I'm at my wit's end here.
Additionally, I seem to be unable to update my Youtube channel icon, which requires you to go through Google+ and change the image there. I've done so, yet the YouTube avatar doesn't update along with the rest of Google+, even hours later. I tried erasing my browsing data/cookies and restarting Firefox, but nope, it still does not work. RESOLVED
I just have a Banner that I can't seem to fit. I've done everything I could think of and now I feel like tearing my hair out.
So will someone who is well-versed in the aggravating ways of GoogleTube please, please help me out here?
Here's a picture of a cat begging, if I wasn't clear enough on needing help.
