With all the weird shit you can find in Bewitching Food World, surely there must be a fairy in a bottle Toriko could lug around
Toriko II: Ichiryuu's Slimy Insides!!

Well, some games are more difficult than others b:

Monster hunter would be more relevant to this case.

Just came back from holiday and greeted by this!
I just love how it's Toriko's side that is reaching to Heracles got sniffed away. It's like him saying don't get cocky, boy!
-
@Myu:
It's like him saying don't get cocky, boy!
Let me just fire a warning shot so he gets the message… Ah, dammit, I missed.
-
@Purple:
Toriko didn't invest enough time learning the boss' attack pattern yet so he got wrecked

So the Gourmet World is a mix of Zelda, Monster Hunter, and Dark Souls. Seems legit, now it must be a videogame. I'd kill to have an open world Toriko game, that would be epic!
-
Enter
ZombieZonge-sama. Isn't he the one always going on and on about RPGs?I would love it if he shows up in Gourmet World carrying these sorts of things.
-
Zonge actually spends his time studying the manga in depth to learn enemy attack patterns.
-
Wait… Yamcha fought in two of those martial arts tournaments. ARe you trying to tell me he never beat an opponent in 1v1 fights in those?
He fought in all three tournaments, and always fell during the first fight against a "named" character.
Sure, he got there by breezing through the preliminaries, but they were no name, run of the mill grunts.
Defeating a regular human being without a name in Dragon Ball doesn't count for shit.
So, yeah, at the end of the day, only named character (or at least, character with an epithet and a special ability) was the invisible man. . .after external help took out the only thing that made him dangerous, his invisibility. So, in the end, he defeated. . .a regular human.
Yamcha.
-
He still counts as strongest (normal) human. Or are Chi Chi and Videl stronger?
-
Lest we forget that Krillin is actually a normal human
And also never forget the World Champion and hero, Mr. Satan.
-
Krillin is the strongest human. Tenshinhan might be stronger, but if we call human "with nose, only two eyes" then sadly… It's yamcha. Or Chichi or Videl.

That is actually very depressing.
I always thought people mocked Yamcha because of how bad he was treated in Z, but it actually goes way back…Seriously, the guy was around since the beginning of the series, even before Krillin. Couldn´t he at least get Bulma as compensation?
-

Master Roshi wins by being the one who manages to die less times in the series.
-
That's why I wrote “normal“. I just wanted to give him something
-
I'd expect some manga threads to devolve into other things, like the Naruto and Bleach thread, where in the part 4 discussion religion and science were being discussed, but not Toriko. I guess there is only one way to make this somewhat on topic. Who would eat more, Goku or Toriko. Since Toriko needs as much food as possible to fight, and lives in a world that is about eating, I think Toriko would be able to eat more. He's just have to use a strong attack to empty the calories and he could start eating again.
-
Goku because he eats a lot
-
3. Luffy because he is a rubber man.
-
4. Ging because appetite doesn't involve parenting
-
5. Me, because those characters aren't real
-
6. Midora, because he sucks it clean. (Been a nice Hakusho reference by the way.)
I'm not giving more than 6 chapters by the way for Toriko's revival. Includes him suiciding with one more attack
-
I would say Kirby, but I won't include him because that's way to unfair for everyone else. I'm sure there is a pokemon that can eat a lot, I'll go with that one.
-
7. Galactus
you lose. -
-
@The:
Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet. Beat that!
Dude, you are not allowed to give characters additional powers

Aizen would like to have a word with you. Plus, we never laid down any rules.

Tied for #8: a wolf and Duran Duran
-
#9 Wagomu and a patch of grass
-
10th - Wagoatmu & p. much anything, really.
-
Hey, I don't eat everything! Now shut it or I will eat your face, plant seeds in your skull, grow grass out of it and then eat that!

w8 isnt komatsu soppose to cook air with that big sword that was created by melk?

That's PAIR. The item the manga have been talking about isn't part of Acacia's menu.

Nah it's definitely AIR that needed that giant knife that Melk made for Ichiryuu to cut AIR with, but because Ichiryuu was the wielding the knife, I don't think it's necessary for actually cooking the thing, just prepping it and obtaining the actual thing
-

Wow I'm dumb. Sorry. I've been thinking PAIR was the item. This arc makes a lot more sense now. Wow I'm stupid.
Could see it going either multiple ways. Either Komatsu's knife is hax enough to handle the job, Melk told the gang where the knife was before they left on the trip, or Komatsu finds the knife via food luck.
-
It's like CHAIR not part of the menu, but you still need it to eat Acacias menu.
-
…but both PAIR and AIR are part of Acacia's full course?
-
It's only FAIR to get confused with that.
-
! now, we got the Blue oni? this Red and Blue Oni, i think i read about it..which folklore stories?
-
How UNFAIR this AFFAIR that led to DESPAIR
! Feel like a lot of people are going to be pissed…but a part of me is just laughing because this is such a Toriko thing to do
-
! Oh thank goodness Toriko brought along a fairy in a bottle like I told him to
-
Whelp, as expected, not even one chapter later and Toriko's back on his feet. Well, at least the explanation was something that wasn't food luck, and plus he just punched a horse! That'll show him for breathing on him.
-
That demon has more attitude in one chapter than toriko has in 276. I don't like the way it looks either, looks to happy.
Even if it felt like a total asspull, its shows that the kings are literally vessels for monsters/demons, and the only way of making them come out is by breaking/hurting the hell out of the vessels?
Holy crap the kings are like bottles now. WEIRD. -

I mean, it kinda was. Komatsu's food
haxluck led him to cook the air tree to make it edible.Cure water I'm fine with. Toriko's regeneration occurring now I'm fine with. Blue oni with this power inside Toriko to be able to land a hit on one of the 8 Kings? lol how ridiculously Toriko
There wasn't even any indication other than folklore tend to have red and blue oni, but even then the idea of multiple monsters inside a human being, and the hidden monsters might be monsterously more powerful (even though Sani's seems pretty broken already, and I already forgot Coco's full monster abilities and form)? That kinda opens up the floodgates, doesn't it?
-
All I can say is: ''How convenient.''

-Sunny has the lucifer hair
-Coco's can create some really crazy poison that makes even Grinpatch go crazy
-Toriko has two different oni in his body
-Zebra is Zebra -

-Zebra is ZebraAdmittedly we haven't seen the upper limit of Coco/Sunny, but they could have even more powerful broken monsters inside them just like Toriko. Even the villains like Starjun or others with hidden beasts inside could just have more than one. Yes, the red/blue thing might be a special case, but Toriko sets up a precedent now. And Chichi did say there are other incredible monsters, maybe even implying there's more than just the two, though that could just be confusion caused by translation.
-
Wait, wait, wait. Are there really no other characters in this series with blue hair?
If Toriko's hair is weird, then what does that make Sunny's?
-

Fabulous.
On the upside of things, you probably won't see their demons a lot since they're mainly for last resorts.
-
This blue theme seems like represents being noble. Like Blue Nitro are being powerful then others and called Nobles.
And Red Nitros need to work their way to the top gradually whereas Blue Nitro are powerful from the get go but need incredible amounts of quality food to survive? Feeled the need to rationalize why this Blue Nitro is already so powerful. Since it is the first time he awoke.
But Toriko having an another monster inside him isn't new. It was mentioned before by Mansam. I'm not dissatisfied with anything related to Toriko in this chapter but Komatsu… friggin Komatsu. This is so nonsense for fuck's sake. This food luck thing should have been more common or atleast trainable. It's like Komatsu has a Blue Oni in him from the get go.
-
I'm fine with the cure water part but not with everything else that happened in this chapter.
I guess that's the trick in never showing the backstory Toriko and the other 3 Heavenly kings. You can make up anything you want since it can't contradict something you never wrote.
