Chapter 751: "Sabo vs Admiral Fujitora"

Oh my god… this is such wonderful example.
So, let me point to you all logical errors you've made in this very short sentence.
"We" is a big quantifier. And I mean really big. I can mean anything from "We as a human species", "We as One Piece readers", "We as participants of this forum", "We as participants of this thread" or "We as participants of this discussion". You should be more precise in your wording, because usualy in those cases the largest group sharing the subject is assumed. In this case, it would be One Piece readers. And, if any one among said group of One Piece readers doesn't share your opinion, then that sentence as a whole is logicaly untrue. That is the first point.
Next. "Luffy will reach that same level in an even younger age". First.
You cannot logicaly prove that Luffy will reach the same level, because: A) You do not posses knowledge of the future, nor do you have acces to Oda's notes, or his thoughts, therefore you are unable to undeniably prove that Luffy will reach that level in the future B) You posses no clear, measurable information about level of both Sabo and Luffy. That statement is an absolute, and as such it requires a unrefutable proof. You would need to change "will" to "may", for this statement to be even considered. As well as drop the whole level thing. Level is measurable, but we have no ways to measure it. If you cannot give us solid data, we cannot consider that statement true on logical level.
Second, neither do you posses knowledge if that theoretical event will happen and if it happens, neither do you know when. Unless, again, you can provide unrefutable proof of this event being planned in advance, you cannot make absolute statement like that. And even if you possesed said proof, that statement is still unlogical, because you cannot guarantee the artist, in this case Oda, won't change his mind, and therefore make your statement logicaly untrue again.
And that was your lesson for today kids. Do not use words like "logic" lightly. None of you, including me, is using logical arguments here, so leave it alone, will ya?
what'S weird is that you are the one who brings up the ''not logic'' argument the most around here darth.

Absurdly young powerhouses are a staple of Shonen. I honestly don't see what's the big deal about it.

I think we may see one before Raftel, yes.
mhm not arguing this, it's definitively a possibility.

Because I know what I'm talking about.
And besides, sentence can be logical only if it speaks of present or past. That's the most basic rule of all, that I should start with.
Therefore, any predictions automaticaly are unlogical. Sorry.

Power is only secondary problem here.

But you do some predictions too, and are you implying that you know more then most of the people here? Cause it definitively sounds that way. Your going on a slippy ground now.

If we are doing real life predictions, then yes.
One Piece does not follow real life logic. If Oda wants Luffy to be Pirate King at age 20, then he will do it.
Remember, Gol D. Roger conquered the Grand Line in 3 years. If the point of the story is for Luffy to surpass Roger, it makes sense to predict that he will do it in even less time. And 2 years and a few months have already gone past.
-

Nope. I did acknolewdged that my arguments are unlogical as well, if you read my post till the end.
Therefore, lack of logic cannot be a valid critisism, when we all lack it, can it?
And yes, I assume that not a lot of you posses college education in classical logic. Mostly because very little courses on universities still include it.
I fully acknoledge that I can be wrong on that account though. I do not posses informations about your education, or knowledge, after all.

Indeed you don't. So watch your words buddy. You don't like sues, I don't like big egos.

What are you talking about? Do you even know what logic is?
Logic laws apply to everything. Be it fiction or not.
-
Oh please. Nobody is using logic around those and I should know, I studied the bloody thing.
Or do you want me to create equations to prove it?
Anyway, it doesn't make sense then that he would be able to attack more effectively after being wounded in all those creative ways then afterwards… unless Shonen laws would allow him to pass by those limitations.
Logic is wrong word i use so i will use a better one okay maybe more than one .
You don't seem to have any understanding or comprehension of what your reading maybe those wrong words also but hey i can always try again .
It amazing that you want to talking about a manga and not use facts from it and think what ever you say in right . -
Indeed you don't. So watch your words buddy. You don't like sues, I don't like big egos.
Did I offend you? If so, sorry. I did not meant to.
Considering the numbers, it was a fair assumption.
And it's not like I posses anything but basic knowledge… Logic is not my specialization. Ethics and philosophical antropology is.
-
Logic is wrong word i use so i will use a better one okay maybe more than one .
You don't seem to have any understanding or comprehension of what your reading maybe those wrong words also but hey i can always try again .
It amazing that you want to talking about a manga and not use facts from it and think what ever you say in right .The phrasing is a little poor, cause it's obvious english is not your first language,( i'm on the same boat, it'll get better though :p) but I still see where you are going with this last sentence.
Darth does that, he ignores facts because it doesn't fit his expectations or desires. At least that's how I see it.
-
What are you talking about? Do you even know what logic is?
Logic laws apply to everything. Be it fiction or not.
Well, I think this has deviated too much from the original topic.
Let's just say that I have a prediction based on some in-universe info. I'm not going include "we" here.
-
Logic is wrong word i use so i will use a better one okay maybe more than one .
You don't seem to have any understanding comprehension or common sense of what you are reading maybe those words wrong also but hey i can always try again …......
It amazing that you want to talking about a manga and not use facts from it and think what ever you say in right .We are speculating. We can hardly be right or wrong at this point.
I simply prefer sticking to my guns, that's all, unless I find arguments of my opposition convicing.
Which does happen, believe it or not.

Darth does that, he ignores facts because it doesn't fit his expectations or desires. At least that's how I see it.
So do you, to be honest.
And we are dealing with lots of assumptions here. So it's not like we can say who is wrong and who isn't.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Let's just say that I have a prediction based on some in-universe info. I'm not going include "we" here.
And that is fine. We can all predict stuff, basing it on in-universe information, previous events, how those situations were handled in this manga and others, on feats.
It is still all unlogical though.
-

Fair enough.
You know the major difference is that you complain as soon as stuff doesn't go the way you like, and I don't.

Darth half the things i am talking are about base on facts in manga and not speculation .

English is my first language lol it's just i have been up for over 24 hours waiting for someone to bring these items so i can finish this job so i tired , angry and not even reading good right when i post lol .

And what you fail to see is that from my perspective, so are the things I'm talking about.
-
Well, he did curbstomp a senior VA with little effort.
Law curbstomped(once he got his heart back) Vergo who was shown as much biggest beast then Bastille and Smoker
Hancock made Momonga and Smoker her bitches
Bartolomeo crushed Maynard…...except for Garp we don't see many current vice admirals that are too impressive
-
I have a question, ist this arc the longest arc on one piece ever? I dont remember an arc beeing that long
-
And what you fail to see is that from my perspective, so are the things I'm talking about.
Do you like the first opening of One Piece ?
-

Skypeia lasted a entire year dawg.
-
And what you fail to see is that from my perspective, so are the things I'm talking about.
Don't are no perspectives when it comes to facts that are in the manga .
-
Fair enough.
You know the major difference is that you complain as soon as stuff doesn't go the way you like, and I don't.
Nah, I complain because stuff doesn't go the way I would like almost all of the freaking time.
You are free to be satisfied about treatment Fujitora is getting. I'm not so keen on it.
You are also free to be satisfied about how Sabo is dealt with. I'm not liking it especially.
And people are free to like whatever they like, in whatever form they like it.
And the most important reason I post so much is because response to my first few posts is usually quite big, and I consider not answering when someone is talking to me rude.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Do you like the first opening of One Piece ?
"We Are"? Or that pirate rap 4kids was trying to sell?
The first one I like unironicaly. The second makes me laugh quite hearthily.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Don't are no perspectives when it comes to facts that are in the manga .
That is incorrect, if we take basic rules of perception into account.
For example: If we talk about following fight: Whitebeard vs Akainu, part two, after Ace died, you will notice that most people are of the opinion that it was a crushing defeat for Akainu. Me, and some limited others, are of the opinion that it was more close then that.
Who is wrong? Probably neither. I will still stand by my opinion on the matter though.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Skypeia lasted a entire year dawg.
And Alabasta is still few chapters longer. So is Enies Lobby, if I recall correctly.
We don't know how long the arc will go on, though. I think it being longer then Skypeia is a safe bet.

WEEEEEEEEEEE !!!

That's exactly what I said, you complain, and I don't.
I only complain about things I love though.
Which might be why I don't frequent Naruto/Bleach thread that often.
-

Skypeia arc is 66 chapters long while Alabasta arc was 63 chapters and Enines lobby arc was 56 chapters long . Dressrosa hasn't surpassed any of them in terms of length yet .
-
I only complain about things I love though.

You must be one AWFUL lover then, lol jkjk

Implying you do read two series you don't love. I have a few friends like you. I might be the same since I keep watching GoT.

In fiction, my friend, in fiction.
I might be cynical, but I'm not suicidal…

hahaha made me laugh

It's mostly sunk cost fallacy, I think. Altough, I have to say, I've been enjoying Kingdom a lot more then One Piece lately. I dunno why.
-

Some things are very hard to give up once you start you know, no matter how bad it is. In other words they are like Alcohol.

That is not a fact darth .
A fact would be something in the manga that is not open to interpretation or is subjective . -

I dunno. A glass of scotch has a lot more substance then the average Bleach chapter…

That is not a fact darth .
Then what is, exactly?
-
I think we may see one before Raftel, yes.
It could happen… just as easily as it couldn't happen.
But if your inclination is to expect one because you think Luffy isn't going to be ready to take on these admirals and emperors in 3 to 6 months One Piece story time… you may be in for another round of disappointment.
Also, I think you're being a little to hard on Admiral Fujitora. You're somewhat correct in stating we haven't really seen him do anything this arc. I'll give you that.
And we won't either. I never expected anything from his presence on Dressrosa other than learning who he is, his personality, and of course, the inevitable clean up once everything is finished.Additionally, I think Sabo standing his ground against Isshou is fine. It doesn't mean Sabo is stronger than Fujitora, it just means he's experienced enough to not be a walkover.
The fight won't go anywhere anyways, and is purely there to keep Fujitora occupied while Luffy fights Doflamingo. You can call it a convenient plot device.
However, I'd like to point out that I personally feel like Oda did a good job here. That's my opinion. We knew Sabo, Ace, and Luffy are brothers. Doflamingo didn't. So for Doflamingo put the flame fruit out as bait, and caught some extra fish (Burgess and Sabo). For Doflamingo, it was completely unexpected for Sabo to show up. Where as for the readers, I felt like it was "Duh!, of course Sabo would show up!"As for admirals doing something impressive. I don't think the story needs to point this out anymore. We have enough evidence from before. Yes, Fujitora is new, but he'll get fleshed out later. The guy seems half senile, and is half paying attention. He's basically put in as little effort as possible.
And VAs are a dime a dozen. Expect more of them to get fodderized as the series continues.
-

Sure but you can't wash your clothes with scotch.
-
Then what is, exactly?
A fact would be something in the manga that is not open to interpretation or is subjective .
Eg Luffy has a DF that has been showed or stated many times,.EDIT also before i forget it rather easy to see what the author is trying to stated as facts .

Sure but you can't wash your clothes with scotch.
Damn rami your on fire today lol

I'm curently "watching" Man of steel for the first time. It's hard to stay serious when Russell Crowe is riding an alien dragon on Cybertron.

I expect him to be able to take them down with great difficulty.
And I expect timeskip because of some special features of Raftel, as well as preperations before final battle. Somewhat similar to what have been done before the final of FMA.
Also, I think you're being a little to hard on Admiral Fujitora. You're somewhat correct in stating we haven't really seen him do anything this arc. I'll give you that.
And we won't either. I never expected anything from his presence on Dressrosa other than learning who he is, his personality, and of course, the inevitable clean up once everything is finished. You can understand though why I would find it dissapointing?
And I think his personality is the thing that suffered the most… mostly because of the whole "we aren't going after flamingo" business.

You know, I want to believe that, I really do. But all my mind flashes back to is the treatment Smoker got after having a major role in an arc for the first time in… ten years, and he got sidelined, badly.
Not even getting a revenge for his subordinates. Can you imagine how fandom would react if it was Luffy's friends that got hurt, and he would've been sidelined to allow Law take the guy responsible out because of some vague past connections?
