! mari confirmed for getting blown the fuck out.
! Mari confirmed for told.
! Moe and goto are best. Masayoshi is iron man
! do you think he'll get a cyborg suit like in the opening? That might actually happen if Masayoshi's boss is kidnapped.

Not really sure what direction the show can go now. I feel kinda bad for Mari after hearing her song, I hope she recovers.

Yea, the song was nice. I read a comment on a crunchyroll saying the way her song sounded could be linked to what she wore on stage for the performance. Since it didn't match her previous style of music performance edits.
Looks like the theory about
! King Torture being a crazy tokusatsu fanboy got confirmed.
Honestly, this was the best episode so far. If Samumenco keeps up this quality I doubt we'll have any problems.
Masayoshi just did a Stark, lol.
Seeing that there's no way to know what's coming next, I bet on a timeskip to a future where heroes are something normal and Samumenco creates the First Hero League. Because why not.
So anime of the season confirmed? Holy crap. Red Axe is pure love.
Flamen Sentai Flamingers!!!!!
I totally saw that coming.
I bet they're gonna defeat the remaining three kings in a couple of episodes and continue with the next villain inmediatly after.
Probably, anyone else find the deaths in this show unnecessarily disturbing? Those guys exploding blood out of their mouths and eyes was not a pretty sight.

Yes I do. It's an odd tone for a city with basically power rangers.
Words escape me for how much his world changed in this episode…but I've been having the vibe since King Torture that this is all just one weird big tv show in universe. It's weird how Kazama doesn't question the villains publicity stunts.
Flame gets are golden though.
This show sure is something.
Pleased with this development but I have no idea where the Flamenco Girls will factor into things now.

I think they're done. She was exposed as non-hero material last episode. Mari may have potential sacrificing herself. But things have jumped a level.
I hope Gotou can become the 6th ranger, and have an epic flute.
Loved this week episode. FLAMENGER !!!
Episode 11 was delicious.

Agreed on this, Red Axe is the best.

She's in the episode 12 preview on the samumenco site, so she's probably getting back in the game.
And new episode out.
The ne t episo de is called "the night before the final battle", so this is still gonna go fast.
Love how they parodied the whole superhero group theme.
This is like TTGL, their mechas and the enemies just keep escalating!
!
! And the 64 War Gods–-LOL. Is that a game console on the tv?
!
Started watching this show and just got to episode 7. My reaction: WTF! Did that really just happen

Viva torture! Episode 7 really is a cut above the rest.
On that note, new episode, new season, more awesome, less moe and mizuki (why).
The new OP and new ED are awesome too.

Think of this as the most over-the-top super sentai series in recent years, but with a really down-to-earth and normal beginning.
Ok, caught up now. Willing to bet flamen yellow will end up being mari
I'm actually scared right now, things aren't looking too good, and that next episode title is even more worrying.
It's time to panic.
What a twist! I guess they're saving the father for later on.
I seriously don't know what is the next arc gonna be about. What would be the next stap in the superhero ladder after the super team?
I don't even know what's going on anymore. But I like it.
I doubt Beyond "masayoshi" is good, they were killing a bunch of people.
Things keep happening. We watchmen now. The PM is a bamboozler, Masayoshi is public enemy number one.
Also requesting thread name change to "Samurai Flamenco: there are no breaks on the hero train"
Am I the only person who still watches this? Anyway, Mari's development was handled really well, and I think I love Mizuki now. Moe is as endearing as always.
Really liked this episode, the homeless guy, the build up to meeting Goto, Mari's breakdown… all were handled really well.
The new OP is good art but a freaking slideshow, so yay for that.
I like how the opening is a Ska song.
And this show has been a roller coaster for me ever since the end of episode 7, but this one won me back 100%! Can't wait for next week!
I'm still watching. Really enjoyed the latest episode. Wonder if the show will continue past the prime minister. Also, last episode Mr Justice was great. Loved when he just started humming the American national anthem

I agree, there have been some hit or misses (especially with the sentai arc), but the story has kept me interested.

we have 6 more episodes left I believe, so I think the PM is just a stopping point since he we have to find out what his deal is, and how he controlled From Beyond, let alone how there are copies of people.
(I think Mr. Justice is a copy of Red Axe)
I still watch this anime.
But besides saying "Great episode. I loved it" every week, there's not much I can say.
Unload all the weapons!!
FLAMEN PUNCH!! FLAMEN DROPKICK!! FLAMEN ELBOW!!
This was just too funny and ridiculous. Because this wasn't what I had in mind if they unloaded all their weapons.
I'm still enjoying this. Nice character development this episode.
And the final enemy is totally gonna be his father. Or the one who killed his parents. Or Goto's girlfriend.
So they're Finally gonna discuss where the Flamenco comes from. Thank god.
Another solid episode,That double Flamen kick, the only thing missing was Christmas Cake Manager. (You can't hide her from me ;_;)
And man, does that ED add an extra kick in the balls when an episode ends, it switches the mood, and comes on at a great pants shitting moment. But I still love the show's ED.
So over the last several episodes, I've been feeling the Samumenco creators really liked Gurren Lagann or something, because not only did we have the superficial stuff like red mechas, head mechas that attached to the body, drills, a lot of over-the-top ridiculousness, Date Masamune's tilted [crescent-moon](http://randomc.net/image/Samurai Flamenco/Samurai Flamenco - OP2 - Large 01.jpg) headpiece, and a couple other minor visual similarities–-but also pacing and plot twists that are really pretty similar. (not to imply copying or anything, it's just pretty similar)
! First/second part of both series:
! Gurren Lagann started off low-key (compared to the rest) for the first 7 episodes, then episode 8 had Kamina's death and things escalated and took a completely new tone from the initial joke-ish atmosphere. It was here that TTGL started focusing more on the Beastmen and Lord Genome's rule over the surface of the Earth.
! Samurai Flamenco had 7 episodes of Kick-Ass, then at the very end of 7 we got Guillotine Gorilla and all the From Beyond stuff. This is when we started seeing Samumenco's version of Beastmen (and sometimes inanimate object-people lol) and King Torture as the series' new villain, which then transitioned into the twist that From Beyond is really the product of a political campaign.
! –-
Third part of both series:
! Gurren Lagann then showed us that Lord Genome was actually working to preserve humanity against the aliens known as Anti-Spirals, who were Spiral warriors that came to their own conclusions about the destructiveness of Spiral power. They sought to assimilate others into their Anti-Spiral philosophy or destroy them entirely. After Simon's fight with Genome, we find out that Lord Genome was aiming to preserve humanity because he himself was unable to fight off the aliens without help (and that he was led astray). This last arc then focuses on the Anti-Spirals, culminating in the epic finale that most who have seen it love.
! Samurai Flamenco went into the post-From Beyond arc by portraying the real culprits behind From Beyond as the Prime Minister and his government. After his fight, we find out he needed the support of the people to gain the power to preserve Japan's sovereignty against the aliens that want to take over all human governments for a yet unexplained reason. So, just like with Lord Genome, the PM is a guy fighting for humanity in the most ambiguous way possible. (Serioiusly, would some extra communication hurt more than getting killed by potential allies?)
! –-
! If the similarities with TTGL hold even tighter in the next few episodes, it may be likely that the Alien Flamenco's are related to the Flamenco's we saw throughout the series (perhaps something like Anti-Spirals?), and may explain the ridiculous powers and lots of other things.
Sorry for the long read, I tried to condense it as best I could. On a side note, the Prime Minister's suit is kinda like Tony Stark's Iron Man suit, complete with the neon-blue HUD.

I really dislike mari. Gotta admit I was wrong about them coming back though.
This episode, my mind… That engrish.
I have no idea what's going to happen now, this felt like a final episode, what can happen after this?
But at least it wrapped up a lot of questions.
And they reached the logical end of the series. No idea where this is going to go now. Goto's girlfriend is the only mistery left.
And Eromanga is an actual Australian town, lol.
Latest few episodes have been such an improvement over the sentai arc. I don't know what the hell else they can possibly do to top episode 18.
That engrish was amazing
I'm in the middle of episode 7 right now, and really enjoying the series so far.
I especially like the music. The opening is great, and I really like the one saxophone piece that is reminiscent of the Pink Panther theme.
Dude. Masayoshi's grandpa was insane, huh? This show is a lot of fun, but the characters are wacko. lol
So much changed this episode. King Torture? lol

Lol, middle of ep 7? did you finish 7 yet? I wanna see your reactions lololol.
Haha yeah I was finishing it up as I wrote that post, thus the "King Torture, lol, wtf" comment. Haven't started ep8 yet. I will probably get caught up this weekend.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Um.. Shit just got really serious in episode 9. I was not prepared for this. Talk about entertainment!

You're never prepared for Samurai Flamenco. Especially later, when things r__eally get out of hand.
I thought the power rangers references were awesome, the whole Flamen Robo transformation sequence brings back memories. Then I saw Miami Ballerina do a Bonchan and had to laugh.
Alright. This series is really WTF.
I love it though. Hell of a cliffhanger we're on right now.
JK, we all know Goto is alive.

OMG yes. I loved the "Come on… Come on!!!!!" and "Billion Uppaaaaa!!!"
