i know this is not the post to argue about devil fruits as a whole. but since it came up.
when a DF power returns, it is said that it goes to the nearest fruit. that would mean a bannana, apple cherry etc.
but if the powers go to only a certain fruit, lets say the dark fruit only goes to a grape, it is possible to actually preduict its powers.
thats how BB knew the dark fruit and thats how DD knows this is the mera mera

as i said, he could. but if you go in that way of reasoning. you have to ask yourself. why would he lie to his High rankers? and if he could. if the forms of the fruits are known, him showing another would express him lying. if he were to lie about it, better if he doesnt show the fruit, just say he has it

And Strelok kept saying "Sanji won't eat the fruit. 100% fact", so they tried to argue back. Of course that didn't accomplish anything, because Strelok was/is trolling. But no one is debating that fact, they are harmlessly speculating. Yet we have users who feel that speculation is a fact check, even though the definition or grammatical use of "fact" got lost through translation I guess.
I doubt anyone is going to join if the stakes are so high.
They seem convinced that a Straw Hat will eat it, so they shouldn't worry about losing if they have faith in their prediction.
It would also limit the arguing if we just did a friendly wager.
